    Great, High Quality Cables
I purchased 20+ cables for my Home Network over a week ago. I wanted to get things classified by color, and get rid of the long drooping cables that were unnecessary. Monoprice came to the rescue with affordable cables that worked better than any match I could find on Amazon.

I know a lot of people are going for CAT6 or CAT6e, and realize 10 Gbps switches are becoming more and more affordable, but for a Home Network anything over 1 Gbps is absurd at the moment aside from the internal infrastructure itself, and even that is a stretch for many of us.

I'm a Networking Guru, and to say I can tell a difference between CCA or Copper, UTP vs STP, or even MHz rating is incorrect. I just knew I wanted to sort everything by color to identify Infrastructure, Computer (networked device), VoIP, or Security. I'm also planning to purchase labels to put around cables to help distinguish specific runs further, and of course a proper rack and patch panel.

If I had to say *one* thing that truly sets me back sometimes is shipping costs. I realize the cables are fairly inexpensive, but I also know the cost for a USPS box isn't as much as they're saying it actually is. I don't have a problem with this though, because I usually order in bulk which immediately pays itself off including the absurd shipping cost.

Quick and cost effective, not perfect
While we've encountered patch cords with manufacturing flaws, the low cost and rapid delivery keeps us coming back.

PROS: Perfect size for a clean and organized network cabinet. Overnight shipping costs less than standard UPS? Winner.

CONS: Not 100% reliable. Approximately 2% of patch cords received have poor or no continuity on the 3rd or 4th pairs (pins 6-8).

    Decent Patch Cables
    Decent cable for the price.

    PROS: - Very Cheap
    - Good size to neatly cable rack.

CONS: - The jacket on the end is very stiff and makes it hard to unplug the cable.
