Works with 25 ft cable to TV, 6 ft to monitor at 1280 x 1024 resolution. Have a bit of an oddity in that if TV is on when computer boots, computer thinks montior is only good for VGA 1024x768. If TV is off, will boot computer to 1280x1024. Don't know why.

    Order review
Very satisfied with product and service. This is the first time our school has ordered from Monoprice and we will certainly order again.
Great for HDTV use w/ VGA-Component cables
VGA gear like this does a fine job with any HDTV component video signal with proper cabling, sold here for a song.

PROS: For whatever reason, a VGA amp/splitter like this is cheap, whilst a component video amp/splitter is dear This does BOTH, with proper cabling, with flying colors. 720p component video (YpBpR) signal over 100+ foot cable run looks great.

CONS: External "Wall Wart" power supplies are ho-hum.

Brightens up images significantly. Claims to transmit over 150ft and I believe it - though I have it with only 25ft of cable. Not a 10 because power cable is rather thin, and can be pinched.

    Worked as advertised
Worked for my use. I wanted to hook my 46" HDTV up to my PC and still use my PC's 23" monitor. It took a 25' VGA cable(also from MP) along with (2) 3' VGA MP cables.
No decrease in PC monitor resolution and HDTV looks great.
Note both monitors work just fine whether the splitter is plugged in or not? so to save electricity I just leave it unplugged. Maybe?? if I had a longer run to my monitor I'd have to plug it in, but with my 25' cable I see no difference and everything looks great.
