I used to think all HDMI cables were the same, and in the early days, they were. Recently I bought 50' cable from Lowe's, because I needed one in a hurry, and the picture quality was terrible. Turns out it was a standard HDMI cable. I replaced it with a 40' 4K HDMI cable from Monoprice, and it solved all the issues.
I bought this due to a weak signal to my Dish Joey receiver. This cable allowed me to move the receiver to the other side of the room. Very satisfied, my receiver now runs without freezing up. I saw no loss of clarity on my 79" LG TV. I don't any 4K material to evaluate that performance. Would definitely buy again.
Excellent quality cable, still can be hit and miss on 4K signal depending on source
For a 40' cable worked better than I was expecting. Was able to get 4K signal from Samsung UHD Blu-ray player and openPHT Plex box all connected to a pioneer sc-lx-501 AVR. Most people said this wouldn't be possible over 40' but had no problems.
Knocked off a star because Chromecast Ultra would not send a signal no matter what settings I tried. Switched to a ruipro fiber Cale and it worked fine.
Overall will likely be able to send signals where others can't, but still can be hit and miss depending on components. Already exceeding spec of what HDMI should be able to do, very high quality, nice n thin, cable.
During remodel, ran all the low voltage (TV & computer) lines inside the walls. This item worked perfectly for the very long run from the front of the house to a tV in the back of the house. Good pricing as well. Thanks Monoprice
This was to be a second cable to bring on the road. I have one I bought a couple of years before. That one works well. This identical one does not transmit the signal at all. At least not from my MacBook Pro.
