Double X-Frame Keyboard Stand
Setup your keyboard station quickly, easily, and with complete security using this Double X-Frame Keyboard Stand from Monoprice!
This heavy-duty steel keyboard stand uses the classic X form factor, which allows for a variety of angles, heights, and widths to suit everyone's needs. The horizontal bars, which serve as the feet and the keyboard supports, are made of 1.1" diameter steel tubing, while the vertical supports are 1.2" x 0.5" steel bars. Questions and Answers
PROS: Solid. Good locking mechanism.
PROS: Sturdy construction, excellent locking mechanism. Excellent price
CONS: Too much difference between adjustment heights. Hard to get the right height.
Needs some non slip material on the bars to hold the keyboard steady.
I also had a little issue with Customer Service and Tech Support went the extra mile to satisfy, me - what more could a customer ask?
They get a 10 for product, delivery was super fast and support was efficient. Wish more companies were this good.
Definietely recommend the stand and Monoprice.
PROS: The stand is very well made. I like the quick lock mechanism, and its sturdy and smooth.
PROS: Very well built and designed, would expect to pay a lot more. Easy ordering process and quick delivery. Extremely happy with my purchase.
PROS: Nice sturdy stand easily adjustable great materials overall great quality
CONS: Which Monoprice had a two-tier stand of this quality.
The plastic ends of the floor tubes are intentionally made uneven to a degree, so one can twist them and offset the stand's balance according to any unevenness of the floor to prevent teetering (or twist to even out the stand on even floor). This alone is a massive plus as my previous stand did not have such a feature and I would have to improvise by tying some plastic to one of the ends.
I'm slightly annoyed that there was no indication that I had to tighten the nut behind the locking teeth so that they would work properly, or maybe my particular stand had not had its nut tightened enough by mistake.
I have yet to see a new stand of this quality at less than twice the price of the Monoprice stand so far.
PROS: Rugged, solid, no wobbling, plenty of adjustability.
Most other double-braced keyboard stands that I've seen support 200 lbs. and up so I didn't think twice about it but this stand only supports up 110 lbs. per it's description.
This stand does support the case but the braces flex a whole lot, they are rectangular instead of square and the narrow side is only about 1/2" wide or so. Under the weight of my case, the stand became spring-like and was a bit uneven on the floor. It doesn't give me confidence that it will support my case for any length of time.
For a typical keyboard, this would work great but if you need something heavy duty, you might consider another option. I plan on keeping this one in my studio as a standard keyboard stand but I'll need to find another option for my ailing live-use stand.
Toothed grip is sturdy.
CONS: Only supports up to 110 lbs.
Doesn't fold flat when secured.
