    Classic Guitar Stand

Don't let your guitar go unprotected. Keep it upright and safe from scratches and dings with this Classic Guitar Stand from Monoprice.

This simple three-piece design can be assembled in minutes, yet provides a stable base for holding any guitar or bass guitar. The aluminum tubing is covered in a soft rubber foam to protect the finish of your guitar, while a rubber strap across the neck support ensures that your guitar won't fall out of the stand.

The stand is height adjustable from about 25" ~ 29" at the neck support. The base has a 20.5" span, which gives it rock solid stability, even on carpet.

Note that the rubber tubing will interact with the chemicals in a nitrocellulose finish and can ruin the finish where it comes in contact with the rubber. Never allow a guitar with a nitrocellulose finish to come into contact with rubber tubing.

    • Adjustable Height: Ranges from 25" to 29"
    • Base Width: 20.5"

    Great stand and well designed
This stand is actually perfect and makes my $50 stands seem way overpriced. In the defense of my professional stands, they could be abused and not suffer and real wear. These are very thin metal tubing and are for displaying your guitar and not for travel. I wouldn't want to fold the legs often or travel with them. Outside of that these have a great design and well thought out features such as the restraint strap and short leg in the back. They won't scratch your guitar or floor as the legs have rubber ends and the guitar cradle is padded.

    PROS: Holds Electrics or Acoustics
Rear leg is short so allows for close to wall placement
    Could be wall mounted
Strap prevents guitars from accidental fall

    CONS: Really simple tubing
    Assembly required
    Not heavy duty

Solid Stand at a great Price
Some minor assembly required, and it took a little effort to extend the legs properly, but once the legs were fully extended, this stand works as well as my other cheap (triple the price) stand. As many others have stated, the assembly that holds the guitar body spins freely, so be careful to place the instrument correctly.

    PROS: Solid Construction, Great price

    Great Stand, Low Price
I own six of these now, and they're well worth the money.

PROS: Well-made, padded forks, safety clip.

CONS: Shipping is a big factor. With shipping, however, these stands are still less expensive than the alternatives.

Solid stand for an unbeatable price
The monoprice classic guitar stand is similar to the cheap version of most other brand stands that are at the very least double the price. Build quality is very solid. My only gripe with these types of stands is that the lower part that holds the bottom is free to rotate. There were a couple of times where it rotated upside down and a bandmate tried to put their guitar on it, only to have it slip off and fall a second later. Just make sure it is inclined down so that your instrument stays put.

    PROS: Solid Build.
    Very good price.

CONS: Lower holder may rotate and may be unstable for holding instrument.

    Great Value
Very basic guitar stand, does exactly whats it's supposed to do.... hold a guitar.

    PROS: price, ease of assembly

Great price and it holds the guitar
Bought this for my acoustic guitar and it works great. The only thing I'd improve on it would be the bottom where the guitar sits. It spins very freely and can turn upside down easily. If it had just a little tension then I think that would be resolved. But for the price, I can live with it.

    PROS: Price
    Holds a guitar

    Nice for the Price
Pros: Padded, stable, inexpensive, it keeps my guitar from falling over.

    Cons: None, zilch, nada, bupkess.

    Other thoughts: It's a no-brainer - buy it!

Easy to assemble. Fit a 3/4 size guitar perfectly, and would most likely fit any size

Nice stand for a few bucks
Well worth the few bucks spent to keep your guitars off the floor, or stuck in a corner and resting on padded points of contact. Very nice, well finished and solid construction. Typical Monoprice stuff here.

PROS: Nice stand, has a neck safety latch and holds everything from electric to acoustic well. The neck portion is adjustable up and down, I can see this being handy for holding a longer bass guitar.

CONS: Very minor, The base that sits under the guitar, slides into the main shaft and can pivot around, has never been a issue but seems kind of odd. I would think since it is keyed already for instillation a key could be added to limit its range of tilt.. But like I said it has never become a issue. However this design could come in handy for odd shaped guitars like flying V's or others that have irregular shapes.
