Could someone confirm that the wall plate is centered to the TV arm brackets? And also if anyone knows the length of the brackets too that would be great. The image provided for this makes it look like the wall plate is positioned towards the bottom of the brackets, but I'm hoping the image is just cut off. Thanks!
    A shopper on Mar 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. The arm brackets will be able to be moved side to side along the wall plate. The lengths of the arm brackets will fit TV with a maximum VESA of 800x400. The second number of a VESA will be the vertical spacing of the holes on the TV/Arm bracket. The mount will be exactly as you see in the photo.

I'm taking it that this product can support VESA 300x300?
    A shopper on Aug 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I believe it would. the minimum is 100x100 and the max is 800x400. So it will hit most VESA types between them.
Does it require a specific stud spacing or is that flexible? Thanks!
    A shopper on May 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No It doesn't. The wall plate is 33.8 inches wide, so If you happen to be able to hit a stud in the center you will be able to hit 3 in total. If you don't happen to hit a stud in the center of the wall plate you should still be able to hit 2 studs.
Would this mount work with the Samsung UN82MU8000 which has a 600x400 VESA pattern? The TV's 99lb weight should not be an issue. The mount supports 800x400 so it seems to me that it should work ok.
    Stuart V on Dec 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The Samsung UN82MU8000 is a large display. Screen sizes are used as only an approximation. That said, the display looks to only weigh 99lbs so it sounds like compatibility shouldn't be an issue. The only concern with using this mount on a much larger display would come down to how the weight is distributed over the arms. While the Television is well within the rated weight, it's large size generates more leverage and may cause the tilt function to sag a little.

This all comes down to whether the arms attach to the top or the bottom of the Television which would be something you would be able to visually verify. Honestly for a display as big as 82 inches i would recommend a product more like PID 3900.

    I hope this helps.
Would this product work for a TV with a VESA of 400 x 200?
    James J on Dec 5, 2017
    BEST ANSWER: Hi Jim,

This mount supports all commonly used VESA patterns in the range of 100x100 to 800x400, including 400x200.
Hi, I moved into a condo with this already mounted but need to buy replacement screws to mount the TV ... can you tell me what screws to use ?
    A shopper on Nov 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Depends on the TV you have. You will need to check the back mounting area of your TV to determine this and you should find screws already in place that you can then reference for the longer mount screws you need. If the spacers are nowhere to be found either you'll need to source something for spacers as well. As inexpensive as this mount is you could probably order it and spend about what you would in time and money.

    Erez A on Mar 5, 2017

    Excellent Value
This mount is an excellent value. It rivals what you will find in big box stores for much more. The quality and finish is great. Has a substantial feel to it. It fit my Panasonic 50" S1 series television without issues. There are a number of high quality screws, bolts, and spacers included in the kit for installation. Everything feels very solid when mounted. This mounts the TV close to the wall and is great for conspicuous areas. 10 degrees of tilt is an ample amount.

With all that you get, there are a few cons with this kit. First, the bubble level. The bubble is much smaller than the "level" marks. In a situation like mounting a TV where being level is crucial, I would highly recommend having a quality 24" or 36" level on hand. The level on the mounting plate will get you close, but not close enough for the discerning eye.

Second, the TV sits close to the wall, so adjusting the angle is near impossible. An installer needs small hands to get back there if the TV is anywhere near vertical. One solution to this issue is to print degree marks on the part of the mount that angles. This way, you can set it (and tighten it) to a degree of tilt before hanging it.

Third, you will need to start the locking screws before you hang the TV. The locking screws screw up from the bottom of the mounting plate to lock the TV once it is hung. It keeps the TV from falling if someone accidentally bumps it. It's very difficult to screw in/tighten the mounting screws once you hang the TV. It's best to start the screws with the TV off of the mount. That way, when you hang it, all you have to do is tighten (long-ish screwdriver needed) you don't have to search for the hole and start the screw.

Fourth, this holds the TV close to the wall. Pay close attention to the video connections necessary on the back of the TV. You will most likely need "port savers" or some kind of adapter that rotates the input 90 degrees. Make as many connections as you can before you hang the TV, or use port savers to extend the ports. If I needed to add another input behind the TV, I would have to take the whole thing down. I used port savers. Make sure you put some in for future connections so you don't have to pull the TV down later.

Even with the cons, I highly recommend this mount. I gave it an 8 out of 10 rating for the bubble level and poor tilting design.

Works Great for Panasonic Viera 42" Plasma
I have a Panasonic TH42PZ85U that weights about 50 lbs. This solution worked great in my apt. It was far cheaper than the thing I saw at Target for $80 or the one at Best Buy for $200. It doesn's stick out from the wall but leaves plenty of space for cables and lets you adjust the til 10 degrees down for best viewing.

Here are the key steps to make your mounting easy:

    1. Remove the base stand from the TV (if you have one installed). This was the hardest part b/c two of the four bolts did not come out of the TV. Panasonic customer support didn't help. WD-40 didn't help. What I had to do was go to O'Reilly automotive and get an impact screwdriver. You wack it with a mallet and it slowly loosens the bolt without stripping it.

    2. Get angle brackets for all your connections. HDMI, optical, cable antennae, etc. Get them at Monoprice.com of course to save time and money.

    3. Find the studs. I used an electronic studfinder going in both directions. Then I tapped in a small nail to be certain it was a stud. Spend plenty of time making sure.

    4. Mark the holes. Use a laser level to get them aligned.

    5. Drill the top 2 holes. Start with a skinny bit and work your way up to the recommended size. They use mm but my set was English so had to convert them. Make sure to drill ALL THE WAY IN. If you don't drill all the way in you will break the bolt. You have to drill as deep as you can to remove the wood in the stud. The lag bolts cannot do that part.

    6. Put the bracket to the wall. Check again for level using a standard level. Ignore the one built into the bracket which is not accurate. Mark the bottom two holes.

    7. Drill bottom two holes like top two holes.

    8. Mount bracket with socket wrench. If the bolts won't go in DONT FORCE THEM. Instead drill the hole deeper.

    9. Connect all the wires to the TV.

    10. Hang the TV on the wall with someone else's help. Don't try it by yourself. It's not that heavy so any two people can do it. Then you just tighten the bottom two screws and adjust the tilt.

Took me two days two get the bolts out of the stand. One hour to do the rest.

Don't let the thin look fool you. I've used this same mount to mount a 37" Vizio LCD, a 50" Toshiba LCD, and a 55" Samsung LED. This mount is rock solid, and easy to install. I did need some washers to mount the LED because the screws that fit were too long. Otherwise mount is low profile, sexy, and solid.

    Great mount
I was worried about these mounts since the price is like $100+ cheaper than what you find in the retail stores. It went up pretty easy. It's been a month or two since install with no problems.

I check the mount every so often just to make sure it isn't coming out. It's not. LOL

    PROS: Very slim,
All spacers, bolts, screws, etc. included

CONS: Built-in level was off a mm or two

Premium wall mount at fraction of the cost
For the money this mount cannot be beat. I ordered and had within a few short days - thanks for the super fast shipping. The mount is a heavy guage metal, I was quite impressed. I hung an older 47" Vizio on a wall of metal studs. I used a zip toggle bolt with 1/4" x 4" screws in studs 20" on center and the mount was more than able to support the TV. As others have mentioned if there isn't a screw in the immediate vicinity of the mounting arm attched to the TV the mount will flex away from the wall slightly. My TV is an older LCD and ways nearly 90 lbs. so that could be a contributing factor. I am pretty handy and know my way around levels. The level lines are significantly far from the bubble - thus when I thought the mount was level and hung the TV it turns out I was off 3/8" on one side. Serves me right for not double checking with my own level, just a word to the wise.

    PROS: Heavy guage steel
    Easy install
More than adequate amount of mounting hardware

CONS: Flexes somewhat if there isn't a screw in the vicinity of the mounting arm
Built in level is difficult to use accurately

    Solid as a rock
Bought this for a 57 lb, 50" LG plasma screen with 400x400 VESA mounts. The bracket went up easily with the provided screws. The built in level was as accurate as my own level - doesn't hurt to double check. A tip for very thin TVs: the screen I mounted is only 2" deep. The machine screws for the VESA mount are rather long. Monoprice includes plastic spacers to help with TVs that have curved backs. My TV is flat-backed, but I used these plastic spacers as thick washers on the machine screws, since they were longer than I needed them to be. Worked like a charm. Hooking the TV to the wall bracket was a cinch, and once I tightened the security screws on the bottom, it was clear this screen was going NOWHERE! And yet, if I wanted to take it off to adjust connections on the rear, it wouldn't be that hard.

Speaking of connections, don't forget to look at right-angle connectors for your cables when buying a bracket this slim. Monoprice sells these connectors for a 1/10th of the cost of electronics stores, but be sure to include them in your shipping cost for the mount!

PROS: Price is amazing, installation was easy, keeps the TV far enough away from the wall to make mounting easy, but close enough to make it look great.

Great mount at an unbeatable price.
If your TV is closer to 37 inches and/or pretty light, the hardware for this mount is massive overkill.

I'm not going to waste time echoing what previous reviews have said. A solid mount at an unbeatable price. Check the specs and purchase accordingly. I'd buy it again if I had another TV.

I used this mount for a 46-inch Sony Bravio KDL-46XBR6 that I mounted above my fireplace. Lifting the TV was the hardest part.

    PROS: - Low price
    - Sturdy Hardware
    - Easy instal (with built in level)
    - Very low profile (figure out your cord situation prior to instal)

Works perfectly for Sony 46" LCD
It works perfectly to hold up my Sony 46" LCD. It has a durable finish and seems to be of nice quality. The screws are very long and it comes with thick plastic spacers to compensate. The instructions show to put the spacers between bracket and TV which spaces out maybe 1/2", but wanting the slimmest possible profile, I placed the bracket right against the TV and spacer between screw head and bracket. It seems to work just fine that way.

The bubble level is a nice touch, but after reading some reviews that it might be slightly off, I measured with a laser level and also found it is a little off. No big deal though.

Because it's slim, the knobs to tighten down the tilting mechanism are a bit hard to reach. It may have been possible to tighten with just my hand, but rather than struggle with that, I made a simple tool for it. I found a long piece of scrap PVC pipe in my garage, it's about 3/4" or 1" in diameter, and cut a notch in the end with a hack saw just big enough to fit over the knob. It didn't take but a few minutes to make, and I was able to use my makeshift tool to very easily tighten the tilting mechanism.
