    Worth the price
These earphones provide a great sound for the price. The noise isolation (i.e. tight seal) is easily achieved by choosing the 1 of 3 provided earbuds that best fit the users ear. The "enhanced bass" is also sufficient.

I would like to give a 10 based on the overall value, however, I'm docking 2 points because the product description clearly states "ability to change volume" but there only seems to be a single button for pause/play. The microphone is there, so these are good for answering phone calls just missing some advertised functionality that would be useful when listening to music.

    PROS: Great sound

    CONS: No volume control

    Sound good, crap cable
The sound of these ear buds is really quite impressive for the cost. Great range and sufficient bass as others have noted. The mic works fine, as do the in-line controls on my Nexus 6P on Android 6.0.1.

Also as perhaps others have noted the lifespan of these are only a few months and that's purely because of the cable quality of the cable. The way that the buds are packaged causes a permanent kink at the plug end which puts stress on just one side of the part that allows the cable to move freely, which then causes the rubber to wear away quite rapidly.

Also there are other kinks along the length of the wire which are impossible to get out, so the cord never sits too flat against your body and ALWAYS gets caught on things like drawer knobs or... anything. This is absolutely the must frustrating thing.

Actually, I've owned several pairs of Monoprice ear buds and this gripe is consistent across all models really.

I'm fine with buying a few pairs a year because of the cable wearing more rapidly than other ear buds that cost more and use better materials (hell, at $5/ea that surely isn't an issue), but I've just about had it with the permanent cable kinks. I even tried straightening it by hanging them from a clothes hanger and hanging some small weight on the other end, but the kinks WILL NOT come out!

In short, I recommend for the sound quality, but the build quality is, simply put, crap.

    PROS: -Sound
    -Price
    -Fit

CONS: -Cable permanently kinks at the folds from the packaging and provides a rather frustrating experience
-Cable quality itself is cheap and rubber cracks easilu within a handful of months (but the price allows one to easily buy several pairs to replace)

    Bright sound not muffly
This is how I've been buying ear buds up until now:

    1. go to Amazon and find buds for around $20 that normally list for $45 and up.

    2. Of those, locate one with four-star and up reviews.

    3. Of those, find ones with hndreds of reviews.

    4. Of those, locate ones with reviews by most "audiophiles" who love them more than expensive headphones.

    5. Buy those.

    6. Hate them because they're extremely bass-y, which I find to muffle all the more treble-y sounds. Suffer with them as long as I can until I become disgusted, then toss them out and repeat cycle.

While buying lotsa cables, gadgets, and doodads on Monoprice, I thought, "What could it hur to spend a couple bucks on earbuds here? Let's give it a shot!" I got these, and while I can't make 'em stay in my ears (I apparently need to locate some very small little silicone bud-things for them), I finally LOVE the way a pair of buds sounds! They're bright and clear, and yet I can hear the bass as well. I listen almost entirely to aggrotech, and suddenly, it sounds fresh and sharp, insteada muddy and blurry. Yay! For what I paid, this is a revelation! I understand that some people wanna hear nothing but bass that upsets their stomachs, and for them, these buds will most likely be awful. I wanna hear everything, and need the bass to be in the background. This buds fit the bill. I'm a happy dancer now!

PROS: - Clear and bright, not muffly, sound

    - Button functions work well

    - Colors are attractive

CONS: - Even smallest buds keep falling out of my (apparently very small?) girl ears

Sound better than my $25 Sennheiser CX380
Purchased three one for wife, one for sister-in-law and one for brother-in-law. Upon getting them, I immediately compared these to my current Sennheisers using the exact same song/settings. My Sennheisers sounded very foggy compared to these, which sounded clear and a little more bass response (but not really nothing to write home about, especially since they're advertised as "Enhanced Bass..").

Maybe my 5yo Sennheiser CX380 in-earphones are worn out, but these Monoprice earphones sound really great. I remember paying $25 for my Sennheisers. But for $5, you just can't beat this Monoprice product.

PROS: Nice design, sound great, compared to my Sennheiser CX380 in-earphones, which were almost 5X more expensive :/

    CONS: None so far

    Fantastic for the price
For the price, these are amazing! And even at double or triple the price, I think any user would be very happy with them, but at under $6? No question. BUY.

The audio for both music and voice calls is great. The fit out of the box was perfect for me, but the box came with both a set of smaller and larger cups to adjust size.

    Can't make any complaints.

PROS: Comfortable, easy to use, works well, surprisingly good bass response, full sound, cord doesn't tangle.

CONS: Mic doesn't do well on windy days

    Great for the price
I read about another set of earphones on Lifehacker and bought these along with them. Those other ones while they worked nice, I gave to a friend who needed some earphones one day. Needless to say, haven't seen them since. Which is ok with me. The bass in these sound way better to me. I broke them in by playing the pink noise many of the reviews before suggested just left it on for a while while i did other things. But i think these actually sound better after you just use them. They are great. & now i can stop spending so much on the ones that don't work at target and walmart and cost 20+.

PROS: great sound, truly blocks out the outside noises, great price

    CONS: they're sold out :(

Best alternative (for the price) to standard issue phone headphones
I've bought about six of these in the last few years, and will continue to do so as long as they're offered. They take a beating and stay in the ear a lot better than the token white ones Apple provides. And they're far superior at noise cancellation and bass boost than the Apple ones, too. Great value, I'd probably pay double what they cost.

    PROS: Noise cancellation
Ease of use (call/volume buttons in-line)
    Bass boost

    CONS: None

    Listening to them right now
Let me get this out of the way - these are the best headphones I've ever owned.
I'm not an audiophile, but the dynamic range and bass response on these rival the super expensive headphones some of my friends use, and they're cheap enough that you can buy multiple pairs.
The shape fits into your ear snugly, but they do take some getting used to. It took a week or so for me to feel like they belonged in my ears, but now they stay in my whole workday, shielding me from my noisy call center office.
They aren't the most durable things in the world, but after a couple months I still haven't managed to pull a cord out or lose sound in either side.

Do you need new earphones? Buy these, or buy three pairs. Seriously.

    PROS: Comfort fit
    Good bass response
    Fabric cord
    Super affordable

    CONS: Awkward shape
    No case or accessories
    Tips come off easily

    Great headphones for the price
I am on my third pair of these headphones and they are great. Each pair has lasted between 9 months and a year, when the sound would go in first one, then the other ear. But for less than $6 a pair, that is plenty of use for me. I wear these for hours every day while listening to podcasts and use them as my hands-free to talk in the car. I listen to very little music, so I can't comment on that aspect.

PROS: Price, selection of earbud sizes

    CONS: None

    4/5
For the price, I had to try these. I usually use earbuds by that Head Candi outfit.....the inked ones. These are VERY close in sound to the aforementioned, but at a MUCH easier cost on the old wallet. The bass is good, ( I listen to 80's Hair metal, old country and a little modern pop) the highs aren't as good as those other buds, but hey, for the cost, I'll take it! Time will tell how durable they are, I am hard on earbuds, yard work and work in the shed gets earbuds broken very quickly . My ONLY complaint is the cushions, while comfortable, AREN'T BIG ENOUGH! Maybe I have freakishly large ear canals or something, but the largest cushions JUST fit, but I have to really jam them in there to get a seal. Larger cushions would be a godsend!

PROS: Cheap, Durable ( so far)

CONS: If you have big ear canals, look elsewhere.
