    useful tool
I bought this for an office network installation. Before using this I had a cheapo manual tool to punch down. I've never used a punch-down tool like this before. It took a few tries to get used to, but once I got it down, it was easy and a great tool to have. As I said in the before, it would frequently NOT cut the ends of the wires off with the cutter, but it could have been due to user error.

Also, I wouldn't consider this a con, but I found that I needed to punch-down on various surfaces. In my case, it wasn't a problem to use the concrete floor, because the office wasn't finished yet, but in a couple of instances I needed a hard, flat surface. It would recommended to have some sort of portable flat surface that can be damaged that you can do the punch-downs on top of to avoid ruining any floors or walls or desks.

    PROS: - works well
    - adjustable
    - has pull-out tools on the side

CONS: - didn't always cut the end of the wire off, but I may have been using it incorrectly

Once your wires are set, ease the tool down into the keystone, lightly setting the wire before pushing down firmly to set wire completely down.

PROS: Works very well set on high. Good finish & operation.

CONS: Blade does not completely cut wires off, but nicks them for easy removal (by twisting them off). Although there is a place for a spare blade/cutter, no spare was included.

    Great tool
Does its job well. You don't have to smash it down to make it work. Nice design in how the blade is held/removed.

    So easy it's fun
Nice little tool, perfect for use at my home on the occasion I need to do PD. Feels solid and excellent value for the money.

PROS: Convenient and easy to use
    Feels solidly built

CONS: You really have to crank down on the "High" impact setting, but can't imagine where I'd ever need to use that much force.

Feels very sturdy, used at home
I'm not a professional and I used this to terminate my patch panel and keystone jacks in my house. It works well and feels sturdy. The casing probably couldn't handle commercial use for too long but for casual use, this will turn out great.

PROS: Works well, feels sturdy. It has a satisfying click

CONS: The plastic of the handle is of good quality but not for everyday use.

    A tool worth getting
Really happy with my decision on going with the punch down connections. This tool is every bit as good as anything else you might get, makes installation a snap, and all my connections rung out perfectly.

PROS: Good price, came with the rest of the networking items ordered

CONS: Hard to think of any...No instructions on how to use it? (should maybe think about what you're doing if this applies...)

    A tool worth getting
Really happy with getting this tool to finish off the network connections throughout my basement. The punchdown tool made the work a snap, and all connections rung out without a single fail.

PROS: Low cost, dual purpose end, came with the other networking gear ordered

CONS: Hard to think of any...No instructions with it? (You might want to think twice about what you're planning on doing if this is really a concern...)
