Questions and Answers
I actually tried an expensive powerbridge, supposed made especially for samsung LEDs (I have a 46" 6000, which is the same rear config as 42 to 60" 6000, 7000 and 8000 sammys). the powerbridge, even behind a recessed part of the TV, and even supposed especially for samsung leds pushed out the TV. This unit did not. Yes, I had to run some romex from a nearby outlet, but that was no harder than running romex from powerbrideges male inlet.
Combined with the monoprice ultraflush mount my TV is 1.70" from the front of the TV to the wall. That is actually a quarter inch less than the 2" using samsungs $250 mount and the $75 power bridge people on avs obtain :)

Downside - with this mechanism the TV is not plugged to the same surge protector as the rest of the equipment. Plus-side is it's within code... Make your own choices, I guess.
