Unlike most speaker docks, this model has an internal, rechargeable battery, so you can blast your tunes when you have no access to AC power. The battery takes about 4 hours to fully charge and can give you up to 10 hours of playback. When your iPod or iPhone is docked, you can use the included remote control to access and control the menu system without having to fumble with the front of the docked device.
In addition to using it for an iPod or iPhone, this speaker dock has a stereo 3.5mm auxillary input jack, so you can use it with any other standard audio source, such as mp3 players, portable CD players, for PC audio, etc. The dock features a built-in 5 watt per channel amplifier, yet is small enough to fit into a backpack.
