OK, you've got your blu-ray player and are starting your blu-ray collection, but you don't have your nice HDTV to go with it yet? No problem! Just use this handy HDMI® to Component Video converter to watch your HDMI source material on your older SD TV with component video inputs.
While watching HD content on a SD TV or projector is not the ideal way to enjoy your high-definition content, it is sometimes the only way. Monoprice understands this need and comes to your rescue with this video converter. It takes a standard HDMI input signal and breaks it down into the individual color component and audio lines for use with standard component (aka YPbPr video plus R/L stereo audio) equipped devices.
The converter supports HDCP 1.2, so handshaking and copy protection isn't an issue. The 10-bit DAC (digital-to-analog converter) can convert signals up to 1080p with 165 MHz/1.65 Gbps per channel bandwidth. All connectors are gold-plated to ensure maximum signal quality.
Features:
-
Easy to use, installs in seconds
-
Converts HDMI input into YPbPr video and R/L audio output
-
Supports 165 MHz/1.65 Gbps per channel (6.75 Gbps all channel) bandwidth for HDMI Input
-
Supports Analog Video up to UXGA and 1080p with the 10-bit DAC
Please note that whenever any device, such as this repeater or an AV receiver, is inserted between the source and destination devices, Monoprice strongly recommends the use of minimum 24 AWG HDMI cables, even for short runs. For cable runs longer than 15 feet, 22 AWG cables are strongly recommended for best results, especially with 1080p signals.
