went up easy, just locate, predrill, and hang. I didn't even see the need to use the bottom safety tabs, but if you wasnted to use them you would need a 16" screwdriver.

Good, inexpensive mount

Installed many wall mounts from everyone and these Monoprice mounts are just as good as the more expensive ones. Don't be afraid of the price. I was and now I'm kicking myself for wasting so much money...

I've installed a number of different mounts over the years and this one is easy to install and priced right.
Low profile (as described) with a nice finish that blends nicely behind the TV.
Comes with all the parts I needed to install.

excellent producteverything you advertised it to be. I did not read the instructions first and could not figure out why the TV rails would not fit as soon as I read the instructions and used the spacers everything went smoothly with the install. What a huge savings over buying in any store.

Excellent Wall Mount Bracket at Unbelievable Price!
|
This thing comes with every piece of hardware you could possibly need to mount any flat panel. Not only that, but its super easy to install and the instructions are great. I'd never seen a wall bracket or an installation, and I'd say it took me probably 20 minutes from start to finish. That includes reading the directions and struggling with a ratchet to get the ginormous lag bolts (supplied with bracket) into my studs. There are plenty of holes in the bracket to allow for various stud placement. There are also two nice holes for cords. Just cut away the drywall with a hole saw and you're all set. My 50" Panasonic Plasma never looked so beautiful! Thanks Monoprice for another incredible deal!

Great Product!!!!
|
I'm not one to normally write reviews, but I finished hanging my 42" plasma last nigh and this mount works great! Easy to read directions and easy to install. I'm recommending Monoprice to all my friends! I know people were talking about the lag bolts below, but the ones I received worked great. the whole mount is solid as a rock.

You can not go wrong!
|
This was my first order with monoprice.com which was referred to me by a coworker. I am glad I listened. As everyone else has already said, easy to install and everything was included. It actually took longer to sort out the correct nuts and bolts than it did to hang the screen on the wall. (50" Panasonic plasma)!
Since this purchase, monoprice has become my one stop shop for all my cables and adapters. It is almost comical to look anywhere else.....

Absolutely great
|
Easy to install, included lag bolts are just fine if the pilot holes are drilled adequately. Solid as a rock and can't beat the price. Agree with other reviews recommending a long philips screwdriver to secure the bottom safety latch. Sticks out just enough from the wall so my HDMI cable isn't bent much, but depending on your TV you may want to invest in a couple of port savers that convert your various ports into right angled ports.

Great Bracket
|
Great bracket, great price. Strong and sturdy, came with lots of spacers, bolts, etc to fit almost any installation. Holds my Samsung 50" easily.
Note that this is a very slim mount, which I LOVE, the TV looks great very flush to the wall. But note that means very little room for cables. If you have thick cables, they will have to turn 90 degrees immediately at the input/output area to your TV. I created a small recessed area in the wall so the cables had more room to make the turn coming out of the TV.

This product is very easy to install and works great everytime I install one. Although the finish is not as nice as some more expensive unit, but I usually paint the bracket to match the wall color anyways.
I highly recommend this product to anyone.

I love monoprice. I have been a customer for three years and I have to shake my head when I hear people going to the Big Box stores for these items. My latest purchase was this wall-mount and I couldn't be more pleased. It went up as advertised and is solidly holding my Panasonic 50" right where I want it. No complaints whatsoever.
Great job monoprice!!

|
Great mount. I wish it had a tilt functionality, but I knew what I was getting when I bought it. I was just too impatient to wait for the right mount to come back in stock. Oh yeah,.. and it's cheap! The materials are solid and the included lag bolts worked just fine. Just make sure you pre-drill the holes first with the right diameter bit.

This is a great deal on an excellent product. I saw prices up to $400 for the same type of wall mount. I would highly recommend this product and Monoprice.com. The only negative was that I had to wait 3 days for it to be delivered to me. But that's really just my impatience. This is the second time I have purchased from them and both experiences were great!

This is the 2nd time I've mounted a TV. The first time I used a Peerless mount that cost $100 for a 32" TV. This Monoprice mount is being used for a 55" Samsung LCD TV. All I can say is WOW. It's great quality, and I still can't believe I paid so little for it. If you need a low profile mount for a large TV, get this. Don't even hesitate.

the right product
|
Monoprice's wall mount prices can't be beat anywhere. I have purchased all my wall mounts from there. I had my television mounted with another mount that gave more mobility (vertical and horizontal tilt) but I found I never used it and instead went with this mount because it was less visible and allows the television to be more conspicuous, closer to the wall. It's as strong as you need as well (I recommend toggle bolts which I found at home depot for mounting).

Low profile, low price, high value
|
As such a great price, could it be as good as other reviews said? Yup. Easy to put up, no adjustments necessary unless you wantl to re-adjust the height of the TV panel (just up or down the brackets on the back of the TV
A couple others mentioned issue with the lag bolts breaking when driving them into the studs I had no issues - I drilled correctly sized pilot holes. Here's the trick to choosing the right diameter drill bit: hold your bit at sight level with the lag bolt parallel and directly in back of the bit (as if you were checking the length against each other). As you look at the bit (with the bolt behind, you want to see the threads on both sides of the bit, but not the core of the bolt. Not enough threads seen? - use a smaller diameter bit can you see the body/core of the bolt at all? - use a larger bit.

I can't write enough good about this product. I bought this mount because it fit my exact needs for mounting my TV. I already had a $100+ mount that wouldn't work because of my stud spacing. The Monoprice mount worked perfectly and was VERY easy to install... unlike the complicated one it replaced.

Off the Chain Price, Quality Can't Be Beat
|
Excellent product and the price forget about it. This product is great 55" Vizio looks great on the family room wall. Mark down to a nine is b/c of the lag bolts that broke. MP, you guys really need to provide better lag bolts this product would get a 10 every time. Yet still you can't beat this mount even if you have to buy all new lag bolts from Home Depot or Lowe's. I would recommend it to anyone, don't look any further buy this one now.

I was skeptical to order this, I really didn't want my 42" tv crashing down off the wall due to a cheap bracket. I ordered it anyway based on a lot of good reviews, and now I'm adding another positive review! This bracket is awesome. It's super easy to put up, and it's very strong. We had no issues with lag bolts not going in right or having to soap them up. It couldn't have been easier. The tv looks great on it, the mount won't budge even if you pull on it as hard as you can. Don't waste money on other ones. This is a great mount!

Bought this mount to replace monoprice item 3337 because it didn't sit flush enough to the wall for me and I really didn't need the tilt/swivel features. Went up very easy (taking the stand off my tv was harder than putting this up)! Holding my Samsung LN52B750 very nicely. Sits VERY close to the wall. Power cable is ok, ethernet cable is ok, but I would recommend HDMI port savers like monoprice item 3733 so that you turn your horizontal HDMI jacks into vertical HDMI jacks.
Kudos to the review that mentioned the long screwdriver that was needed. I bought a 16" #2 screwdriver and was able to tighten down the safety screws without any problems.
I would (and have) recommend this mount to anyone not needing tilt/swivel features looking for a nice clean install.

Great Wall Mount. Exactly what I needed
|
Other places had this mount for $100. Picked it up for under $20. The TV looks great on the wall. Looks like a picture frame. Keep in mind the cables will be a little tight behind the TV since this sits about 1 1/4 away from the wall. I had to trim the strain relief of my HDMI cable a little so it could make the 90 turn easier, but it worked. The component cables posed no problem and were able to fit. Also as a tip, if you are mounting a 110V outlet, use a deep box with a recessed clock outlet. It will gain you about an inch behind the TV.

AWESOME MOUNT!!! Dont Blow More Money!!!
|
If you spend any more money on a Mount, your throwing your money out the window!!! The mount far exceeded my expectations. My mount is holding up a 42 Plasma, which is a hell of a lot heavier than an lcd, This mount does not budge as long as you lag it into the studs approprietly! I am employed by a cable provider and deal with Flat Panel TVs All the time, so as you can imagine, I was a little hesitant to buy this mount, but I figured what the hell its less than $20 Versus the $100, $200 or more mounts. I didnt have an issue with the lag bolts what so ever, just predrill your lag holes large enough and they go in just fine you dont need to rub them with soap like I saw in some of the reviews, Just do it correctly and you should have no problems. Also, and I stress, There is no need to overtighten them, as long as the bolts are snugged up to the mount, they are tight enough!!! You dont need to gorilla tighten them! This mount is a nice heavy gauge as well. Some of the reviews said it was way to close to the wall...it is low profile...thats what its meant for!! what you need to do is mount a dual gang mud ring behind the TV, where the wires protrude from the TV, it gives them a place to go, however...most Flat Panels have a little bit of room behind them for the cables. By the way in case you dont know what a mud ring is, it looks like an open back electrical box that electricians mount to the wall studs, Only you dont need to mount it to a stud, and its only about as thick as the sheetrock, but it allows a neat and clean opening in the wall, plus if you ever take the TV off the wall, you can put a blank switchplate cover on it instead of having to make a repair to the sheetrock. I hope my review was helpful.

looks great..even from the side
|
This was my first wall installation. This is a great mount kit. Had all the screws I needed, I must say when I saw the lag screws I was shocked, they are HUGE, but if you pre-drill (and I rubbed the screw thread on a bar of soap), itll go in no problem. Hardest part is to figure out the height you want the TV and where the cables in the back will go, then translate that on the wall. This mount is REALLY close to the wall, it made it quite challenging to have all the wires in (2xhdmi, dvi, cable) and going into the Recessed Pro Power Kit I got from monoprice as well. But once its all done, the TV looks great and even from the side, looks almost flush with the wall. Oh and one last thing, you cannot beat the price!

Great fixed mount
|
Just mounted by Samsung LN52A750 with this 4114 mount this past weekend. Super easy to mount and it came with all necessary hardware. The lag bolts worked fine as well (I had no need to go out and get stronger ones from the store). I did not even need to use the provided spacers. This mount is solid as a rock. I went with the fixed mount, as I knew this would keep the panel closer to the wall (not as much of a gap). Overall, fantastic product!

Amazing mount. Beefy mount at a fraction of the prices in big-box stores. I, like others, broke one of the anchor bolts (it was the last one, and I was steamed). But, a quick trip to the home center fixed that. The good build quality and unbeatable price makes Monoprice stand out above the rest. Thanks!

Excellent product
|
Installed this with my new 50 Samsung PN50A400 I picked up for $800. Very solid installno reason to go with anything more expensive whatsoever. I ended up putting lag bolts in two studs and adding additional toggle bolts for balance, as the plate just didnt cover the span of my studs. It would have held without the toggles, but I just felt better about it this way.
Lag bolts are a little cheap feeling, but they worked fine. I would be careful not to snap them if your studs are uncommonly hard or tight.
The kit could use a template instead of having to bring the plate to the wall to measure for mountingwould be a lot easier, but in the scheme of things, not really a big deal.
The design of the Samsung allows for some access to the back ports even when installed with this bracket, so some of the concerns of not being able to reach the back ports are not relevant with this TV. Even so, putting the TV on and off this is a piece of cake with a long neck Philips screwdriver and two people, so it is not that big of a deal if you need to move cables around every once in a while.

What a deal!

I cant believe I amost paid $120 for this at Circuit City. I have my 52 Sammy 850 mounted on this and it looks awesome. I needed to install the provide spacers since Im also using the monoprice HDMI 1.3a Category 2 Certified CL2 Rated (In-Wall Installation) Cable.

Great Bracket
|
Great bracket, extremely well made, would definitely buy again. I mounted a 6 series Samsung LCD.
Advice I reiterate what past reviews have said, you will need a phillips screwdriver with a 12 shank to tighten the safety screws on the botton. I had a very hard time finding one. I wouldnt worry about tightening these if you have a table under the tv and dont have kids. The tv will hang solidly on the top hooks. I have to worry about my kids pushing up on the bottom of the tv and knocking it off, thats why I felt they should be secured.
If you use the recessed wall plate from monoprice, you can place the tv on the wall without any spacers or hardware. You will need to carefully plan it out and make sure you are spot on though. Both the HDMI (I used a port saver from monoprice) and the power plug need to be in just the right position. If you plan it out this way, the look is extremely clean and you can barely see any wires even from the side.

Great Wall Mount Bracket
|
Dont be afraid because the price is so much less than the big box stores. This mount was a great purchase. I have it holding a 52 Samsung with no problems. I would recommend getting better lag bolts from your local hardware store.

Easy setup. Lags went in fine. I did buy 4 new M6 bolts ($1.25 total) at my local hardware store to attach the arms to my 40 Sammy. The M6x30mms that it comes with were a bit long for my TV. It does come with spacers and washer to shorten the bolts, I simply opted to buy shorter ones.

Well worth the money
|
Monoprice.com originally shipped me the wrong bracket but stepped up and overnightd me the correct one when I needed it for my install.
The bracket is strong and well made and like others have suggested, I bought some better lag bolts from Home Depot for under 2 dollars. I used this bracket to mount my 40 inch Samsung 7 series and have some tips for anyone mounting a Samsung 7 series. For the 40 inch you have to use the 6M bolts but they are only 30mm long, I suggest buying some 40mm bolts and using the small spacers (10mm) included to give some relief for the wires unless you plan on cutting out some sheet rock behind the cable panel. Without the spacers, high grade cables cant make the bends needed and will cause the tv to not sit level (TV will want to push out on the side the cables mount). Also if you are using a VGA cable for laptop or computer, I suggest either getting a 90 degree down adapter and a portsaver adapter so you can have the cable plug in vertically (parallel to the display). Most monitor cables have a very long post with screws so it doesnt have the space to bend.
Overall this is a great mount and would recommend it to anyone who needs a excellent low profile flush mount bracket. Thanks Monoprice.

Great Deal
|
Exactly what I needed. I was not going to spend what Best Buy and Circuit City wanted for some steel. This mount did the trick. Very low profile. I was scared about the wires at first but once I put in up everything was fine. Great deal if you dont want to get ripped off and spend upwards of 100 $ for a mount.

Excellent value. Almost cant believe the price as I found the mount to be of quite good quality. Had no problems with the lag bolts... seemed pretty beefy to me. Used the mount for a 42 Sharp Aquos. Nice & close to the wall, just as I preferred. Only thing I had to do was cut the M6 machine screws to fasten the brackets to the LCD, I wanted a clean install and didnt want to use the included spacers. Its absolutely insane what similar quality mounts sell for in box stores. Thank you Monoprice!

Great Mount!
|
This mount arrived at 6pm and I had the tv hung above the fireplace by 730. I used the lag screws provided with the kit, but predrilled the holes and liquid soaped the screws. No problems at all - I caught a stud on the left, a stud in the center and two 75lb toggle bolts on the right - solid as a rock wall. The HDMI input on the tv was directly behind one of the arms, so it was a tight fit and the cable is a bit stressed, but other than that, it looks awesome and it was at least $75 bones cheaper than any store in town, even with shipping. GREAT PRODUCT...GREAT Price.

Great Mount for 52 Samsung LCD !
|
This mount was great for the mounting of my new Samsung 52 LCD. The TV weighs in at about 70lbs.
This mount included everything I needed to install it. I, however, opted for more secure bolts. I bought heavy gauge SAE 1/4 and 5/8 toggle bolts. I installed my mounting plate with 9 of these bolts. ((Expensive TV.. It will not come off my wall))
I would like, however, for the mountto come with a cardboard or paper mounting template so you wouldnt need to actually haul the plate up to the wall and mark the openings. This will help alot!
I also installed the spacer between the TV bolts and TV. This afforded me an extra 5/8th - 7/8th more space for my wires. It worked great! My cables are not stressed whatsoever with this extra space.. and the TV is just under 3 off the wall.
Great mount... equally great price!

Dont buy those 200$ and more mount from your dealers!!!!
|
I cant believe my dealer was able to look me straight into the eyes and ask 285$ for a 19$ piece of metal... You will put a 19$ piece of metal to support a 5000$ plasma? YES!
I just installed that 19$ wall mount from Monoprice and its working PERFECTLY with my Pioneer Elite Kuro Pro-111FD (50). The mount is really sturdy and easy to intall and have all the necessary nuts to install that Pioneer Elite plasma.
DONT BUY THE 200$ MOUNT YOUR DEALER WANTS TO SELL YOU FOR YOUR PLASMA! ITS NOT WORTH IT! Dont fall for the usual FUD crap from your dealers...

Wall Mount works as promised. Used it for Panny 50 Plasma (TH-50PZ85U). Sturdy so long as you hit those two studs. One word of caution This mount is a flush mount so there is VERY little room for cables to stick out. Be sure to plan for that. The panasonic plasma connections connect horizontally instead of vertically. Luckily, I found a recessed wall gang for all the video connections which gave me the extra room behind the set for all the cabling. If your set connects vertically, you shouldnt have a problem. Save your cash and go with with the mono.

Flat Panel TV Wall Mount
|
This is a very nice product. Solid, well built and very very low profile. It is almost too low profile. If I had not purchased the 180 degree swivel HDMI connector I could not have completed the project.
I mounted my 52" Samsung over the fireplace about 4" above the mantle. The front of the TV is just slightly behind the front of the 6" wide mantle.
There is literally not enough room for me to get my hand behind the set to connect the HDMI connector. Luckily we made all the connections behind the TV before lifting it into place.
The wall mount bracket came with a plethora of additional screws, bolts, washers and spacers to make it work for almost any TV. Mine only needed four slightly longer screws to hold the vertical brackets to the back of the TV. We mounted the wall bracket with some pretty substantial 3" screws into the studs and then hoisted the TV into place, adjusted it horizontally to center over the fireplace and we were done.

Great Product!
|
This is a great mount that is sturdy and easy to assemble, and it was a fraction of the price of most of the competition. Monoprice continues to be my go-to source for cables/mounts/misc. A/V needs. My one suggestion for improvement with this mount is to find a way to make it easier to attach a security cable for the TV. I am using this in a to mount an LCD in a fairly public setting and found it difficult to make the mount secure. Not at issue in the least for home users, though.

Deserves its high rating
|
Used it to hang a Sony KDL-52Z5100 (I wish everyone would say which TV they hung to inform other readers) and it went as dozens of others described. The hardest part was finding the studs but as a mechanical idiot, it took less than 30 minutes with my wife's assistance and it turned out absolutely perfect. I took away one point because it 's really difficult tighten the last two bottom screws once it's mounted. While you really don't have to tighten them, finding a 16" extension for a screwdriver is a PITA.
Overall, I'm delighted and look forward to buying and installing another for my bedroom set. A great bargain!

minor complaints but worth it
|
My 46" TV looks awesome above my fireplace. A tilt mount would have stuck out almost past the mantle and wouldn't have looked as good. Minor complaints are that the width of the mount doesn't let it hit 3 studs, so mine hits a stud close to the middle and one on the end. It's still sturdy, but I would have felt better if it were long enough to hit all three studs. With the low clearance I needed a long phillips screw driver to toggle the clips when i hung it, and I needed angled cable adapters. Overall, still worth it for the price.

Take it from a pro. If you pay good money for one of the high dollar mounts in the box stores your tossing your hard earned dollars away.
I used to install only level mount brand but I think for the 75 buck price diff I can use a small level to make sure its straight. I dont need one glued to it. I feel like I am being more honest with my clients and performing the same top notch work they demand.

Good quality, EASY installation, TIGHT fit to wall
|
The low profile wall mount is very easy to install. Four lag bolts into two studs, check for level, drill those lag bolts in with a hex head. Thats all for the wall bracket. The kit comes with many different screws for the behind the TV brackets. The screws to fit my Samsung A550 were included. Lastly attach the brackets to the holes for wall mount on your TV, slide over the wall bracket, secure with bottom latches - done. It took me about 20 minutes from opening the package to turning it on to see the final product.
NOTE - you might want to plug in any cables/cords before lifting it up on the mount. The mount is VERY low profile, not much room between the wall and the back of TV. I couldn't even get my hand in there... so I am glad I made connections before. I noticed my HDMI cable behind the set is bent slightly (a 6 foot Monoprice 24AWG cat 2 CL2 HDMI). This could be corrected by using a 90 degree connector... but it works.
A couple years ago I purchased a mount from a walk-in retailer for about 3X the cost. This mount is equal in quality, perhaps even a little nicer as the bottom securing latches are easier to use.

Great mounts for little money
|
I bought 2 of these, one for a 50in Panny plasma, the other for a 42in LG plasma. Easy to put on the wall and comes with more than enough hardware for the job. As stated in other reviews, make sure to connect any cables (HDMI, Component, etc. ) before placing the TV on the wall mount. It is low profile so there is no room to maneuver once the TV is placed on the mount. I recommend Monoprice to everyone!

Works well

Works well for a 65" Panasonic TC-P65S1. It's a little narrow, as there is only about an inch of spare plate on either side of the vertical bars with such a large TV. But it's very sturdy and holds the weight well.

For about $30 shipped, this is an outstanding wall mount system. Heavy and sturdy pieces. I have no question about it's ability to hold up our 42" plasma.
One issue I had were the lag bolts, I snapped two of them going into the studs. I drilled pilot holes at specified diameter, albiet not able to reach the depth of the lag bots with my standard bits. Made a run to the local big box hardware store and got new lag bolts, same size, and they drove into 4 new pilot holes without a problem. But the new lag bolts only cost me $.50/ea so no big deal.
Also, this is not a quality issue, but something to note, I did need to get a 12" driver extension to reach the safety screws behind the TV. Found one at the local Harbor Freight Tools store for $5. Which, I'll need to utilize ever time I mess with the cables because the fit of the TV against the wall is snug... cables are OK, but can't fuss with them once the TV is locked with the safety screws.
Nitpicking stuff though, the important thing is it's a no-frills, get-the-job done piece of hardware for dirt cheap. Don't waste your money on an expensive mount you'll never see, this one is VERY solid. Highly recommend!

Works Great!!!
|
Shipped about 2 hours after I ordered it. Directions were simple and easy to follow. The mount holds the tv very close to the wall which is what I needed.
Only problems were that they switched to the heavy duty lag bolts but used the same washers so the washers didn't fit. But I had 4 extra washers so not a big deal. Also it would be nice if the secuity screws to lock the bottom of the mount into place were slot head instead of just phillips. It takes a 20" screwdriver to get to them and I have not found the phillip screwdrive that long yet.
Overall I highly recommend this mount.

Useful bracket
|
Bracket was just as advertised: slimline/low profile, sturdy, and well cut (no sharp edges).
I scored it a 9 because, after having worked with a number of brackets, the only thing I'd say negatively about this one is that its associated screws and lag bolts are *very* greasy. I noticed quickly, and didn't make a mess, but be careful if you're installing on new/very light carpeting.
Otherwise, great product at a very reasonable price compared to the "name" brands (which, in many cases, are these, repackaged!).

Not as heavy as some, certainly sufficient to do the job. No problem with the lag screws as long as you drill a proper pilot hole. I did use the spacers to get a little more room behind the set (Panasonic 50 inch plasma). Fine service from MonoPrice.

Cheap but with good quality. Does its job and easy to install. (This mount is as good as the other one I spent $100 at Sears a year ago.)

amateur's review

Wow this took a lot of work for me and a buddy to get up but now that it is up it is great.
First off I went to home depot and replaced the lag bolts and the screws that mount the tv to the arms with newer ones. I figured it was better safe than sorry.
Now the excess work comes from the fact that the in wall cables I bought were very stiff and the hdmi ports were wayyyyyy to the side of the tv. Basically the hole I had cut out behind the circular hole in the wall piece of the mount would not work. There is no way I could get the cables to bend that way without ruining a hdmi port. So I removed everything, raised the mount, and then made it so the arms were as high as possible without showing over the top of the tv to allow for access to the hdmi ports. Cut a new hole and after a while I was up and running.
Materials are solid. After reading revies I opted to just be safe and get better bolts.
If you have a 40 inch tv or larger YOU MUST have a 20 inch screw driver. There is no way to get your hand behind this TV.
Like people said this is a very close to the wall mount, be prepared to use the enclosed spacers to provide room for the hdmi cables.
Honestly you can’t beat the price.

Good mount
|
Great mount, better price. Im a little worried about somebody pushing the TV up while messing with the connections on the bottom of the tv... there is not anything there to keep the TV from slipping off the mount if it gets pushed up a 1/4 of an inch. That is the only con though, this mount is really solid.
I did not have the problems that other had with the included hardware, plenty of extra hardware was provided.
Just a tip for those doing an in wall cable install... check for horizonal studs! We have wainscoting on our walls and I just assumed that it was attached to the vertical studs like the rest of the wall. I felt dumb whenever I tried to fish the cables only to find a stud 6 inches above my outlet box. This gave me an excuse to pull my power cords to the room behind the TV, since I had to cut a small hole to get to that stud. In the end, it gave me a nicer looking install.

Fantastic at this price !!!
|
I had already bought 2 from somewhere else at $65, but when i saw these prices i returned and got these instead, took no time to install, and holds my Vizio 47 perfectly.
Its not as thick steel as others ive seen, but i dont think it needs to be. It holds 165lbs and most TVs are well under 100lbs. So no worries there!
Cant be beat ...dont fear the cheap price, this will do its job the same as any other brand at over $100 in the stores.
Keep it up monoprice .....you rock !!!!

Cheap and good
|
Its a good wall mount but keep in mind that its VERY low profile, so I had to use the spacer, otherwise it was impossible to connect the HDMI cables. Also like everybody else said, buy new lag bolt!

Great Mount!
|
I just finished mounting my 52 Samsung Series 8 on the wall with this mount. The mount is very sturdy. My studs are 24 apart and I was able to catch two of them with the lag bolts. I read some bad reviews about the lag bolts that were provided so I went to the local hardware store and bought (4) 5/16 x 3 1/2 stainless steel bolts. I think they cost like 39 cents each. Once we got the 4 lag bolts in I made my brother who is 180lbs hang on the mount. There was no flexing at all. This mount is extremely sturdy with only 4 lag bolts. The only problem that we had was when we hung the T.V. it was really close to the wall and very hard to connect the HDMI and component cables to it. We ended up using the spacers that were in the kit and I had to take my component plate off the wall and just run the wires straight through to plug into the T.V. Overall, the process was extremely easy. This was the first large T.V. that we have hung and it looks great!

So far so good. I have had the TV mounted for a month now. Only 2 minor issues. 1. It is pretty tough to screw in the guide screw (bottom screw). 2. It would be nice if there were more than two oversized holes in the wall plate for cables to pass through. In any event, for the money, this is great deal. I have recommended Monoprice to several friends!
