This mount is specifically designed for iMacs and stand-alone Apple Displays. The bracket can mount to a desk or other horizontal surface with thickness from 20-60 mm and can accomodate displays weighing up to 33 lbs. The center of the display can be positioned up to 18" above the mounting surface.
In addition to Apple Displays, the mount works just as well with any monitor or television with a VESA mounting pattern of 100x100 or 75x75. Once installed, the monitor can be easily rotated into the landscape or portrait orientation. The insides of the two arms are designed so that they can accomodate the cable runs to the monitor, which keeps your work area looking nice and neat.
It comes with all the hardware necessary to install and adjust the mount, including Allen wrenches and a soft, foam pad to protect the finish of your mounting surface.
Note that the late 2011 21.5" iMac is NOT mountable. Please check the technical specifications of your iMac or Apple display to verify that it is VESA mount compliant.
