Pros: Works for protecting your screen.
Cons: Matte finish wasn't very matte. I can still se my reflection unlike the matte cover I have on my iPhone. Maybe it was just mispackaged. It is still better than nothing.
To help make application easier I mixed a 50/50 solution of 90% clear, unscented, rubbing alcohol and filtered water from the fridge door. I put it in a small spray bottle I had from a drug store. I saturated both the back of the protector and the iPad screen being sure not to put too much on the iPad near the openings. I then used a small squeegee to work the solution and bubbles out very slowly so as to not scratch the protector after placiing it on the screen. Now that the liquid has evaporated it's a perfect application.

Great value
|
Pros: Price, especially for two!
Cuts down on glare
Matte finish is easier to slide and move
Easier to install, thicker material
Cons: Scratches slightly easier, especially under plastic tip tablet pens
For the past few years I had my iPad2 without a screen protector. It's been good, and luckily I had no issue with scratches but found that glare was an issue. The glossy screen while shows the finger prints very well, throwing in a 14 month old who likes to touch everything, it's even more of a finger print magnet. After I bought a second iPad, I wanted to add screen protectors to both for protection but also for glare.
I shopped around and bough a medium priced screen protector from a large on-line store based in the South American rain forest. But returned this shortly after I found a few problems. The first was distorted view through the protector, which made the Retina look very distorted. Also the application of the protector was difficult since it was on a vinyl backing.
The Monoprice version here is much better on all fronts. First is the value, it's the best price I've seen so I decided to try it out. Receiving the protector, I was happy to see it's on a thicker plastic "mounting" cover instead of the flexible vinyl protector like the other brand. I had a similar protector like this for my iPhone and made installation so much easier. You peel back one side of the protector, the thicker protector sheet allows you to position the protector easier since it doesn't flex as much.
Another big plus is the protector feels thicker, I'm not sure on the exact mils, but it's doesn't feel like it would turn over on the edges as easy when worn down. The mounting is also nice, doesn't ask for you to use water or anything, just clean the screen and apply. The matte finish was really nice change and my wife mentioned that the movement on the screen feels so much easier, you don't have that "sticky" feel with the bare screen.
About the only con I can see is that matte finish is more easy to scratch or see scratches on the protector. I used a tablet pen and this makes a contact point on the edge of the tip of the pen. Since this pen is using a harder plastic tip, any grit under the pen tip will scrape the protector. Normally, under use of the finger, this shouldn't pose a problem. But even if you wear through screen protectors every few months, these cost so little, I would still recommend them.

Screen protected
|
Pros: Inexpensive way to protect your screen..... No glove no love
Great prive.

Cons: I was not as careful as I could of been and now get to always see a memory of my sweet puppy in my screen, the dreaded Hair...lol but that was my fault!

Does the job
|
Pros: protects screen, price
Cons: difficult to put on without bubbles
The protector works as advertised, but these protectors can be difficult to put on without bubbles...even if you follow Monoprice's directions. Overall, it does the job it is supposed to and is a good product.

iPad Screen protector
|
Pros: Great matte finish so there is no glare and protects the screen from scratches~2 in the pack
Cons: both screen protectors sent had a small fold top center in the plastic that created an airbubble that will not go away.
Sent an email about both the screen protectors having a small fold center top and never heard back from monoprice. they protect fine but its quite annoying to purchase something that has flaws that you notice every time you pick up the device. the protect beautifully and would have liked to have one as a back up but when the first was damaged i took it off and put on the 2nd and it was defective in the same location (a mailing issue I'm sure)

Not that easy to apply bubble-free
|
Pros: protective

Cons: glue-globs appeared
Do watch the video. I recommend a slow even pull of the 1 side of the film. I did pull a little too fast and then stopped and then pulled the rest of the way and at the place where I stopped a couple of little glue-globs were present on the back of the film and this could not be removed and there's no way to press out the bubbles around them. There were other bubbles... I used a credit card to move try to smooth the bubbles away and couldn't get them all. I didn't bother to try a do-over with this since I know these are tricky and I wasn't looking for "perfect". Also, because this is the height of winter, static electricity is a problem so any dust or lint in the vicinity has a tendency to want to jump into the action. Clean off the whole table surface in the vicinity of where you are working and don't wear anything fuzzy. The screen still functions just fine with the bubbles in the film. When this film wears out I'll give it another try.

Not worth it
|
Pros: Not a whole lot. If you can get it on, but...
Cons: First, the cloth leaves tiny felt pieces on the glass that you don't see until you put the adhesive protector on the front. There were horizontal and vertical scratches on the film before applying, that I didn't see. Next, the video is not the exact item you will receive, the alignment is with the camera button not the home button which is admittedly much harder.
You get what you pay for, I guess.

iPad Protectos
|
Pros: Affordable
Easy to install
Cons: Other than coming with better instructions, I really don't have a con.
Once I figured out how to install these protectors correctly (watch the video beforehand) they were a snap to install without bubbles. My daughters love these protectors because they don't leave finger smudges like other higher priced protectors available.

Great product and value
|
Pros: Everything
Cons: You only get one cleaning cloth
No problem with these screen covers. Great value. Takes a bit more skill to install as compared to and iPhone cover. The protective film on on the screen protector is a nice touch for installation, squeezing out air bubbles. This product does it's job.

Glare drastically reduced
|
Pros: Price, Finish, Quantity
Cons: None encountered.
The glare from the bare screen was too much in most of the lighting situations I experience. Matte finish was the best solution for cutting glare and seeing the screen. It minimizes fingerprint problems to some extent, however, a device that has to be touched really needs to be cleaned regularly anyway. I use Monoprice 5176 weekly. I'm not doing image-editing on the iPad so a perfectly clear image wasn't a priority but cutting glare from overhead lighting was. The first one didn't go down so smoothly (my fault) so I used the second one. No problems beyond my own alignment issue and one tiny spec of something around the edge. Liked the solution so much I bought several packages for use on a collection of iPads at work.
