Pros: much better than the one that came with my pad
Cons: Only wish it could be built thinner, more in line with a ink pen
Much better than the original pen that came with my tablet. It also seems somewhat easier to use, feeling lighter and better balanced.

Battery won't fit in
|
When I was setting up the tablet pen, the battery that came with the package will not fit in. Tried placing it at the back of the pen and the diameter of the pen is far too small to insert it. It disappoints me that I couldn't use it.

Great tablet
|
Pros: Good size Price
Cons: Software
This is a really good tablet once I figured out the software issue with Windows 7 64 bit driver conflicts. Uninstalled driver from device manager and everything works with the Monoprice driver now. My daughter loves it.

Pros: heftier nice grip better construction
Cons: accidental button-pressing plastic
I love it! better than the original pen anyway. the original pen's grip slipped up and opened the pen, spilling out the batteries, and I guess I put them back in a little too roughly because it wouldn't work after I crammed it all back together! well, the original pen was horrible but this pen was a definite upgrade! putting the batteries in is way less scary (instead of cramming the two parts together you screw them together, which makes a difference!) and it feels a lot nicer in my hand, and although somehow I am still managing to accidentally press the buttons while I am drawing, it's a lot harder with this pens buttons. I would say even if your original tablet pen hasn't broken (yet) you should invest in this. the best isn't bad and its a lot better anyway.

Monoprice deluc graphics table pen is very precise
|
Pros: Very sensitive Long battery life High resolution
Cons: Inconsistent button operation between applications. (Should behave more like mouse buttons) Feels like it is cheaply made but the construction quality is actually pretty good
I purchased this pen when I ordered my 9" X 12" graphics tablet. The tablet is so well made, that the cheap feel of the pen was rather surprising. There is not problem at all with the sensitivity or resolution. As mentioned in the PROS/CONS, the buttons do not behave consistently between applications. Nonetheless, I like the pen and will continue to keep one handy.

Very nice!
|
Cons: The pen is a little flimsy, but it's still better than the replacement pen MonoPrice sells. The software doesn't have enough customization options I'd like to map the pen button to space bar, but it's not allowed.
I'm blown away by the fact that a tablet so cheap can work so well. I've used it in both Photoshop and Painter and it's amazing. Excellent sensitivity range. Great accuracy. I just wish they made a replacement pen of higher quality. Also, I wish I could map the button on the pen to the space bar so I could use it to Pan in Photoshop and Painter. Instead, I map one of the side buttons to space bar which is almost as convenient.

Stock Pen is Better
|
I got this pens because the positive reviews claimed it was better than the stock pen. Some claim this pen is more sensitive. I really have not noticed a difference in sensitivity. Both pens have excellent sensitivity. However, this pen is smaller and feels a lot flimsier. I would have paid double if they could have come up with a good quality pen. Unfortunately, both the Monoprice stock pen and this replacement pen are of very poor build quality. However, the stock pen seems a little stronger and stiffer than this one.

Pros: clip, subtle buttons
I got it as I saw reviews saying they liked this one more, but I've gotten used to my default pen (that comes with the tablet) and haven't really used this one yet. It's a very nice pen though, and if something should happen to my default it's a great backup.
It has a clip, so while I haven't used it I imagine that would be really handy for some people.
It's slightly shorter than the default pen (by about 3/4 an inch I'm estimating) and has more subtle buttons on the grip, making them harder to accidentally press. (Which is actually something that can happen easily with the default if you're not careful.) It's also slightly heavier and has a more solid feel to it.
Overall I think it's more a matter of preference and what you get used to first, as despite it being a technically better pen I find I rarely, if ever, use mine as the default is good enough and I'm just so used to it already. I don't regret buying it though, and for the price it can't hurt to have a backup on hand. (Also, I use the little box it comes in to store my default pen and all my spare parts like pen nibs and batteries, so that's really useful too.)

back up to primary
|
Pros: Softer sprung tip the original.
Cons: None
Got it as a back up, after dropping the stylus that came with my tablet. Figuring I better have a back up - just in case. After popping in a battery to test to make sure it worked, and tinkering a little - I packed up the original as the back up to this one. The reason: this one has a slightly softer sprung tip then the original stylus. I like this a lot! It further adds to subtlety of strokes. I like the feel / balance better then the original too. It's plastic - so you need to take care. The clip isn't like a metal retractable pen that will take a lot of abuse. Well worth the money. Should have purchased it when I bought the tablet.

Somewhat worth the money
|
Pros: The pen feels much more sturdier and sleeker, then the pen that comes prepackaged with the graphics tablets. It fits my hand nicely, and no obstructions sticking out of the grip and curves like the old pen.
Cons: It is made very cheap material. Within one week of having it, the pen is slightly cracked, and the clip on thing broke off. I treated it with the same way I have treated all my other tablet pens.
This is definitely a buy if you will treat your pen with utmost care, otherwise it is flimsy and will break easily.

Must have with any Monoprice Tablet
|
Pros: Comfortable, light, durable, and responsive, cheap.
Cons: Buttons are akward to press, no activity LED, no eraser.
I heard that the pen that came with the monoprice tablets was poor quality and uncomfortable, so I went ahead and ordered a higher quality pen. For $9, why not? Pen feels high quality, though the battery harness is cheap. Works great though. I have no real complaints thus far.

not great
|
Pros: Better than the standard pen that comes with Monoprice tablets.
Cons: Same flimsy battery construction.
While the monoprice drawing tablet is a very good piece of hardware for a great price, I wish there were pens that match its build quality. The pen is made made out of cheap materials, albeit a little bit better than the standard monoprice tablet pens. These pens are fragile, my last one stopped working after dropping it a few feet.

Great for price, almost great for artists
|
Pros: Size is fantastic Pressure sensitivity is fantastic loaded with great features
Cons: Sai paint tool issue Packaged pen is mediocre at best
I got this for my girlfriend when the life106 tablet from Kanvus was on its way out. I called Kanvus trying to get a replacement cover and they told me they didnt make tablets anymore. So I shopped around. Monoprice? Never heard of them. Wait. Whats this? Damn, thats a nice tablet. Look at these reviews! And this size! Wow. This is fantastic.
And bam, I bought it and she LOVES it. When I say loves, I mean 4-8 hours a day drawing on it. The pressure sensitivity has been one of her biggest pros, she said (direct quote) "I never DREAMED that I could make lines like this.".
The only issue is when put with 2 screens, and Sai Paint tool, it IGNORES the dual screen option and defaults to one, OR sets the tablet to be BOTH screens, no matter the options. Now, Im well aware this has to do with a 5 year old piece of software, but APPARENTLY (according to my girlfriend), Sai Paint Tool is an artists dream and a LOT of professionals use it. So I guess it impacts a few people here and there. And I guess there are a few other reviews with the same issue.
Anyways, great tablet, great price, grab the extra pen +nibs (its worth it). Only took away 1 point for the Sai issue.

Graphic Drawing Tablet Pen
|
Pros: Better feel, more sturdy and comfortable
Cons: The buttons could be hard to locate sometimes but you get used to it eventually.
This pen is a big improvement from the one that came with the tablet originally. I broke my original pen while trying to change tip - it turned out, I was did it totally wrong. Anyway, the pen feels way better in the hand, it is more sturdy and comfortable.

Better then original... sorta.
|
Pros: Price Performance Comfort Ease of use
Cons: Buttons (like everyone else has stated)
This pen feels more like a real pen in your hand... too much so. The buttons on it disappear as soon as you take your eyes off them. They have no unique texture to help your finger find them again (actually, there IS indications but they are so soft you can't notice them). The pen does have a nice rubber band around the handle that feels VERY nice and comfortable. However, this is what makes finding the buttons extremely difficult at best.
The fact that the barrel SCREWS onto the lower portion is MUCH better then the stock pens that come with the tablets.
All this being said, this is an amazing pen. VERY comfortable for long hours of drawing/painting. A MUST BUY in my opinion.

Hey monoprice manufacturers,
I like the pen- it works great- but it'd be so much better if it came with sort of cap or container. Instead of the pen stand. If I want to use the tablet in different places other than my home, it's significantly more difficult to transport the pen.

Good price, ok quality
|
Pros: Great price, fast shipping, better than the stock pen, buttons are placed better
Cons: still not great quality
This pen seems better than the stock pen that the tablet comes with. Battery compartment is a little more sturdier than the stock pen and this pen seems a little thinner than the stock. The buttons are more discreetly placed so its much harder to accidently press them. There was no extra installation needed, just put in the battery and start drawing.

Amazing Graphics pen
|
Pros: Sleek style, smooth drawing, has a tab to hang it on your pocket. It money wise cheap just for a tablet pen. but is not cheap in the manner it was made. Very sturdy, works amazing and very comfortable in my hand.
Cons: If the pen falls or is bumped really hard you might have to reset the drivers. But to me thats a no brainer you can't drop something with sensitivity like a graphics pen and not think something will happen. The buttons are in an area that might cause the user to press while drawing if not holding in a certain manner, but that helps me with erasing and going back all the time.
I love this pen, especially for the price. its a little thicker and sleeker than the pen that comes with the monoprice tablet. I love the sensitivity and the preciseness of the pen. Every motion from quick to the slowest marks are captured. works amazing in manga studio and creative suites.

Pros: Works Comfortable Grip Weight is well balanced
Cons: Not found of the button placement
There's not much to say beyond what has been said so far. If you like your tablet but do not like the stock pen, go for this one. I would like the buttons to be somewhere other than the grip, harder to press, or easily disabled, but that's a minor quibble.

definitely an improvement

Pros: Good price, better tool than the one that came with my tablet.
Cons: The spring is squeaky now and again, but I can live with it. The buttons are flush on the side of the pen, so you can't "feel them" if the pen rotates in your hand, so you must look down now and again and make sure the buttons are where you expect them to be.
Got this pen to replace the one that came with my tablet... the old pen's buttons were too easy to accidentally press, and were tied together as a rocker switch. This pen has two completely separate buttons that click nicely... not to easily, not to difficult... just right. If only they were a bit less flush with the tube of the pen, so they could easily be felt by the fingertips, then this pen would be just about perfect.

Pros: Solid. Well made. Great pen.Superior sensitivity.
Cons: None that I could think of off hand...
Solid, well designed tablet with great sensitivity. Works with all of my advanced art programs with no drawbacks at all, as good as my old Wacom for half the price. Larger than I thought it would be..and that's a good thing. Pen better than most folks give it credit for(the battery "problem" mentioned is a non issue if your just careful...).

Good Drawing Pen
|
Pros: nice weight, fits hand well, easy to use, tips change very easy, easy battery change
Cons: buttons are molded in rubber and blend in with the pen. buttons need to be a different color so they may be seen better. as i am disabled i do not have feeling in my hands and it is very hard to feel the buttons and to see the buttons. if the buttons were colored they could be seen much better and would help those who are disabled or have low lite in room you can not see the buttons as they blend in with the rubber coating on the pen.
i gave this pen a 7 out of ten because of the buttons on the pen being so hard to see and must feel for them. if they made the buttons stick out more or gave them color to be able to see them better then i would gave it a 10. great pen i will buy more i just got some enamel model paint that was bright yellow and painted the buttons on the pen now i can see them and pen is perfect. maybe monoprice should make a minor change to these button to see them or feel them better for those who are disabled and can not feel them or have a hard time seeing the buttons. but this pen is a very good by. one more note this pen does not match the pen that came with the drawing tablet i got which was the 6815 the 9x12 tablet. so be warned that the replacement pen does not match pen that came with tablet.

Pros: Looks cool and sleek, lighter and smaller than stock pen, better tactile feel and button response.

A Solid Piece of Equipment
|
Pros: I ordered several of these when I bought tablets for Christmas presents, including one for me. They all work as advertised and are of slightly better build quality than the ones that come with the tablets. They also seem to be a bit heavier, if you enjoy working with a unit with a solid feel.
Cons: None, really. I think I like the shape of the pen that comes with the tablet a bit better, but beyond that they function in exactly the same way.
We had a problem with the pen that came with my daughter's tablet I bought several years ago from another manufacturer. I bought these pens as backups in case we had a similar problem this time. However, it was an unnecessary expenditure. The equipment from Monoprice is of much better quality and I doubt it will break any time soon. But, it's always a good idea to have a spare.

A great deal at an unbeatable price
|
Pros: I love my Monoprice graphics drawing tablet, I use it with my laptop every day. I am a web and graphic designer, artist and photographer. I used to Wacom tablets but after having two fail on me and not to mention the prohibitive cost, I couldn't justify replacing them. I was hesitant about purchasing a bargain brand but am very glad I did, it's awesome. I do wish there was a smaller one, or perhaps a touch one. Extra tips and stylus are also very reasonably priced and work just fine. Some folks may be put off by the need for a battery in the pen itself as I was at first but I don't even notice and the battery lasts a long time.
Cons: The tablet is really large, I think a smaller version that omits the quick links which I never use anyway.

Cons: clicker awkwardly placed
I bought this as an extra pen since some of the reviews I'd read mentioned that they were easy to break but so far I have not had to use it. I admit I don't use the stand so that may be a benefit to me. Other than having to adjust my hold to avoid clicking it frequently, these pens are great.

Cons: Sad that this wasn't offered a year ago!
Bought this replacement after I lost the original pen to my 10x6 tablet. For those wondering, it works automatically with the tablet without drivers or anything. Definitely a step above the original version. Make sure to get this pen too when buying your tablet!

This is an excellent replacement pen for the tablet
|
Pros: Size, quality, price, feel
Cons: The two buttons should be color coded for visual cues. They do have tactile feeling but visual feedback would be nice.
This is the pen that SHOULD have shipped with the drawing tablet I bought. It works great and is very good quality with good weight. The only thing I don't like is that the buttons should have some kind of color on them to visually differentiate them at a glance - they are both black in a black recessed well area. But they have much better action than the standard pen that came with the tablet. Buy this pen!
by Andrew Foster I still love this pen 9and the HA-60 Tablet that I bought this pen to work with but the buttons on the pen should be raised higher to give it a more pronounced tactile feel to it. I find myself constantly having to look down at the pen to find the buttons. They are not raised up enough to do this by touch. Also, you can not easily see the buttons for they are black also and blend into the black rubber surrounding the pen grip area. It would have been nice if they were colored so you could easily see them. I have adjusted the shirt clip to point to the buttons to give me a visual and semi-tactile cue to where the buttons are located though. I would suggest you do the same.
Also, the pen doesn't fit very well in the upright "pen well" stand that comes with the separate drawing tablet (HA-60) and it's crappy pen that this pen replaced.
I do absolutely love the fact that this pen seems to last forever on it's battery though!

Pros: You contacted me as soon as the product came in stock. The product is inexpensive and works very well.
Cons: It was a bit hard to find your company initially. I was looking for a digitizing tablet and found the expensive companies with no problem but I only found yours because I was persistant and was reading blogs and reviews. Maybe a bit more buzz on the net would make your company more visible - or perhaps I am just not "in the know."

Awesome replacement Stylus
|
Pros: Much better quality pen Slightly smaller and slightly lighter than the stock pen Threaded opening for battery access instead of push together type like the stock pen
Cons: Threaded opening is simple plastic and could potentially break / wear out in a relatively short time.
As soon as i got ahold of this stylus and tried it out, i could tell it was much better than the stock one. It weights a little less and is a little smaller than the stock pen. I actually felt a little less constricted when i was sketching with that than the one old one. It feels a little more like a natural pen.
If you looking for a stylus to replace your current one or to just have an extra, you cant go wrong either way. Monoprice offers this type of technology at insanely low prices compared to bigger names but does not sacrifice quality. If you have any of the above tablets, do yourself a favor and spend the extra for this stylus, compare the 2 and i think you will find that this one will be the one in your hand when your done. As usual , Great job Monoprice :)

Excellent
|
Pros: Hefty Nice Buttons Easy to Install Battery Works with Monoprice Tablets immediately no configuration required.
Cons: None
This replaced the pack in pen that came with my Monoprice 12x9 graphics tablet. The buttons on the pack in tablet were cheap and flimsy. It was my only complaint with the device. This is sturdy, well built, the battery stays nicely in place the grip is very comfortable and the button action is smooth. Huge steps over the pack in pens.
Even if you buy a 12x9 tablet and this pen, you're still 400 dollars below an equally sized Wacom tablet. If you're going to use the tablets here, get this pen as well, you won't regret it.

8297 Graphic Drawing Tablet Pen
|
Pros: Worked fine.
Cons: No instructions for inserting the battery. I followed the same procedure that came with the tablet I just purchaser, and basically pulled the pen apart not knowing it was a twist barrel.
Once I figured how to insert the battery, it worked just fine.
