Rack-Mountable UPS Battery Backup for Audio & Video Home Theater System - 1000VA / 500W

Question: What is a UPS?
Answer: A UPS stands for Uninteruptable Power Supply. Basically it is a battery backup system that protects your equipment for sudden power outages which can potentially damage equipment or lead to data loss. The UPS allows you to safely shut down your equipment if the main power goes out. It is not intended to power your equipment for extended lengths of time.

Question: How long will this device power my equipment in the event of a power outage?
Answer: Backup run times will vary depending on the amount of equipment you have connected and how much power your devices need to operate. In general, with a 50% load on the UPS, the battery will run for about 9 minutes.

Question: What is the difference between a UPS, a power line conditioner and a surge suppressor?
Answer: While they are all designed to protect your equipment, these devices offer different levels of protection. A surge suppressor will simply protect your equipment from fluctuations (spikes and dips) in the flow of power to your equipment reducing stress on the circuits. A line conditioner has the added benefit of filtering out RF signal interferance which can subtly degrade the performance of your equipment. A UPS usually offers the best of all worlds, including protection from power outages that can lead to equipment damage and data loss. This system also offers advanced monitoring systems to ensure that the power flow to your equipment is functioning at it''s peak.
