Bad product.
|
Pros: Clear case
Cons: Very tight, the screen protector peels off. The position of the volume buttons does not match the ones on the case.
I am a monoprice customer from 2009 and could swear by it's quality, but am disappointing first time in 4 years. Looks like they are trying to remove old inventory.
by Monoprice Administrator Hello,
My apologies the case didn't work out for you and the dissatisfaction you had. If you like I can issue an RMA for a return, I would just need an order number to get the process started. Again my apologies for any inconvenience this may have had. Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely

by Anonymous An RMA was issued for this RMA990276381. But I want to buy another case from Monoprice. Could you waive off my shipping for that purchase.
by Monoprice Administrator Hi,
Glad to hear you already received an RMA for the case. As far as shipping I'm unfortunately not authorized to do so but I can offer a discount on standard ground shipping. You will just need to put in the additional instructions section during check out, "Please apply standard ground shipping discount per Tjayi Malone". Customer service will know to notify me for confirmation. Again sorry for the trouble and thank you for your continued business and support.

Volume buttons are slightly off centered, DISAPPOINTED

Pros: looks good.
Cons: The fit may be tight, however, on my AT&T 4 the volume buttons are slightly off center. Totally disappointed with the case.

A Really Great Case!
|
Pros: Excellent fit and feel.
Cons: The fit may be tight, however, on my AT&T 4S the buttons are ever so slightly off center, but not enough to worry about. I'm guessing the case was made for the 4, not the 4S.
I absolutely love this case. It's the best I have ever used for the iPhone and I've owned them all. There is just enough friction and stickiness that I'm not dropping the phone but not too much that it sticks in my pocket. The case is rubbery enough to take a drop and not impact the phone much and hard enough that it still feels like an iPhone.

SImple Simple Simple
|
Pros: Simple, very reasonably priced, aids in grip, shows off phone well, buttons all line upon AT&T iphone 4S
Cons: None that I can think of... and I'll buy spares in case it discolors...
I love this little case, and it costs 1/20th what similar cases do at the phone store. It doesn't add bullk, but provide grip. (WHY are we all paying throught the nose for applecare, then ensconcing and swaddling our iphones 'till they're too bulky to put in a pocket!) It's not a case for someone who drops their phone! I customized mine by cutting a photo to fit inside the case over the back of the phone: voila!

Can't Beat It!
|
Pros: Simple, cheap, good fit, provides good grip, doesn't add much girth.
Cons: None that I've experienced.
Great, simple, cover... exactly what I was looking for. Fits my AT&T iphone 4S nearly perfectly (the top and bottom lips pull away evvver-so-slightly... which may happen with any cover.). I purchased the clear version of this, and cut out a photo to stick behind it on the back to personalize it. I don't know how much in the way of shock protection it provides, but I can easily grip it, and when I'm paying $100, with a $50 deductible insurance on the freakin' phone: why encumber myself with a cover that makes the thing LARGER!

Clear TPU case
|
Pros: Case is flexible and durable.
Cons: None
This does not fit the Verizon or 4s versions, the opening does not line up with the ringer silence switch properly. They just need to state that in the description so one doesn't order it by mistake like I did.

Very nice, clear and make my iPhone looks small or it's size. I did not like all others because they made my phone look so big. This one is clear an clean.

Explanation between this case + polycarbonite case
|
Pros: - Very easy to put on. - Difficult to unintentionally take off. (easy enough to take off when you want to) - Good fit
Cons: - SIM slot is unnecessarily exposed
When I got this, I had already purchased a Monoprice polycarbonate case for my iPhone, (PID 8050) which I purchased that, I chose it because I was weary of any flexibility in a case for my case.
Now that I've also purchased and played around with this TPU case, here are some notes:
- The polycarbonate case covers the SIM slot, while the TPU case covers the volume + power buttons, leaving the SIM slot exposed. The coverings is presumably due to the flexible material, and has not caused any issues to date, in comparison to the polycarbonate case.
- The TPU case on rear glass gives a look reminiscent of water being inside the case. (not an issue, but an honestly interesting aspect)
- The flexibility of the case leaves me cautiously optimistic as to the longevity of this case. I've had non-solid cases for other electronics that have expanded enough that I can't trust the case, however the reviews tend to show that these will stay decently solid. Then again, if it works for 6 months, it's most likely worth the price.

Nice case for a great price
|
Pros: Good protection Nice, professional feel Doesn't "stick" in your pocket
Cons: Doesn't fit the 4S EXACTLY (the hole for the mute switch is a little off) If carried in pocket, collects dust under the case
Case works great, and you really can't beat the price.

Pros: Low price Good protection
Cons: Cut out for sim card slot is not necessary and results in a loose fitting on that edge The top edge does not fit tightly like the bottom edge
When I received the case there were still strands of plastic on the left side of the case. I tried to pick off these strands but this left a very unattractive and rough surface.

Works as it should
|
Pros: - works - cheap - good fit
Cons: - gets dirty fairly soon after install
Overall, very happy with it. Has done what is should, which is keep the back-glass scratch free, and protect the sides from being scratched or chipped. Used with a screen protector and is quite a good option to protect your iPhone4. Only issue is that it was clear, because it gets dirty somewhat easy. It is cleanable, but never as nice as brand new.

Does Not Stay Clear - Turns Yellow
|
Pros: Fits well and is durable.
Cons: Turns a yellow tint from general exposure to the air.
Get any other color but clear. It turns a yellow tint in no time. This is not due to sunlight, it is just from indoor exposure to the air. I have other colors and love them, just avoid the clear.

Nice for a buck!
|
Pros: Very low profile Good cushioning Clear case allows iPhone to shine
Cons: Case for ATT iPhone 4 Case adds enough thickness that it doesn't work with some docks
This is a nice little protective skin for about a buck. It shows off the iPhone 4 well and is not at all thick like a lot of the silicon cases, yet is somewhat cushioned to protect the phone. This case is designed for the ATT iPhone 4, but that only means that there is a slot along one side for the SIM card, which is not a big deal.

high five, monoprice!
|
Pros: highly protective, durable, insanely cheap
Cons: cut holes are misaligned and somewhat rough, cutout for a sim card (why?), gets greasyish (kinda gross), isn't a tight fit, yellows almost instantly
3 months after putting this on my phone i dropped it onto a sidewalk, landing hard on its corner. after recovering from my mini heart attack i checked it out to find it literally did not have one scratch or crack. AWESOME! great how a $2 product can save a $400 investment. i've been preaching the gospel of monoprice ever since. if you're looking at this case and are hesitant, go ahead and do yourself a favor and order it. you seriously will not find a better deal.
withheld 1 star in the review merely for aesthetics, otherwise this case is a winner.

ok for price
|
Pros: price is amazing.
Cons: scratches very easily.
this is a great product if you keep t in your pocket. my wife puts in her back and iPhone tumbles around with keys, mack-up kits, etc and tends to easily scratch the screen film. i have to replace with the monoprice product or spend a couple of bucks more to get a "power supply" screen which i found to be amazing and very hard to scratch.

Impressions after two months of use
|
Pros: - Form fitting to the iPhone still a tight fit after two months of use - Raised lip over the front screen provides a small amount of additional protection
Cons: - The back forms ugly air bubbles in the middle where the case touches the phone
With two months of use, I'm happy overall with this product. I was looking for scratch protection in a slim package and that's what I received at a great price. The only con is from an aesthetic point of view as a ugly large air bubble forms at the back of the case as only touches the phone itself in certain spots.

Fits like a glove. Great Price
|
Pros: Perfect fit fort AT&T iPhone 4. Dock connector opening large enough to plug in 3rd party sync/charge cable without having to take off the case. Opening on the side for SIM replacement without having to take off the case.
Cons: After long term usage, the case starts turn yellow/bronze. It is actually a nice color, however, if you wanted clear, it may not stay perfectly clear. There will be a slight gold/bronze tint.
This case is so much better than those $30-$40 cases that are sold in other stores. The cases is very reasonably price, and the opening for the plugs are perfectly sized so you never have to remove the case. The only minor issue is that since it is clear, you can see debris such as pocket lint get caught between the case and the phone, especially in the back.

Pros: Snug fit, protects from bumps and drops
Cons: The clear case looks "air-bubbly" on the back of the phone.

Pros: Great value Good quality Has access for SIM drawer, no need to take case off to access SIM card The lip is wide enough to go over screen protector edges rather than butting against the edge of the screen protector.
Cons: The clear back 'sticks' partially to the back of the iPhone, the effect may be undesirable to some.
It is a beautiful and ultra durable case. Fits perfectly. It does not add much thickness to the iPhone and I can still fit the iPhone in a Roots Universal Smart Phone Waist Pouch that I bought from Best Buy. I keep on buying these cases because my friends want them to after they saw mine.

Pros: - See the design of the iphone through the case - Protection all around - Buttons work well through the impressions in the mold - Speakerphone works fine - No issues with headphone jack or charge/sync jack - Very little distortion when using flash for pictures/movies
Cons: - Cutout for SIM card. This is the stupidest thing. Who regularly removes their SIM card??? If for some bizarre reason you ever need to, just take the case off! This totally ruins the design. - Back of the case sticks to the glass iPhone backing. I and several others who bought this case where I work put paper with cutouts for the Apple logo and iPhone logo between the case and the iPhone. Looks HORRIBLE otherwise.
For the price, you'd be hard pressed to find a more functional, better looking clear iPhone case. There are a couple of unfortunate design issues, but for this price, I suppose you really can't be too picky. Many of the other clear cases out there, particularly the hard plastic ones, don't have front screen protection all around the top and bottom are completely exposed. This case has all around protection and the only thing to worry about is dust that collects in places like around the ridiculous SIM card cutout and the vibrate switch.

Nothing better for the price
|
Pros: Low price! Fits, works, what more is there? My truck has a big center arm rest made of fake leather, with this on my phone I can slam on the brakes and it won't budge. Easy to put on and off. Protects better than the Apple bumper (I have one and don't use it anymore, I use this).
Cons: The rubber like consistency that makes it not slid on my arm rest also makes it super hard to get out of my pocket. It's not a skin tight fit. I feel the need to take it off at the end of the day and clean my phone, gets dust in between. For the clear it is obvious.

A great case!
|
Pros: Lightweight Stylish Thin Tough
Cons: It's a little more flexible than I would like.
I own the Smoke-colored case.....
Like an idiot, I left my phone (iPhone 4) on the bumper of my truck and drove off. The case has enough stick to it that it grabbed onto the rubber surface of my bumper and made it all of the way to the hardware store (about a mile away turning in 4 intersections). When it fell off, it was run over by two cars. The car behind me noticed and grabbed it for me we were both surprised to see the only problem with the phone was a tiny (pencil-tip sized) scratch on the lower corner of the screen. The case protected it from scratches on the side and back. Amazing.
Even besides that dramatic incident... on several occasions, I've dropped it from table-heights to hard floors and the case has helped protect my beautiful iPhone 4 every time.

Get what you pay for
|
Pros: It works, protects against scratches and makes the iPhone less slippery. It is thin, looks pretty good and doesn't get in the way.
Cons: Why is there a cutout for the SIM card, I don't need instant access to the SIM! Also, the plastic against the glass looks kinda bubbly, it never gets the air out to sit flush.
It is not as nice as the bumpers from Apple, but it does an adequate job for a low price.

You get what you pay for...
|
Pros: Great design, good fit and excellent protection
Cons: It is cheaply made I had to take a razor blade to it and trim all the mold flash (rough edges where mold pieces came together). the matierial is good, but the clear TPU is starting to turn yellow - vie had it for a couple months now.
I would recommend this item - even with it's flaws, at $2 it is still a good deal. Just don't expect too much from it. When you put this side by side with a similar $20 case, you'll see why this one is cheaper...

Great Case
|
Pros: inexpensive, tight fit, clear plastic allows the phones good looks to show through
Cons: back of phone looks really blotchy the way the case sticks to it. Peculiar that it covers the volume and power button, but has a cut out for the sim card. Dont you only put that in once - and if you did have to change it it's be easy to pull the case off.
I have a fully body Zagg skin on the phone that protects great against scratching, but doesn't do anything for little bumps. I doubt this case would do much for a drop, but it provides a little cushion for putting it down on the table or counter. Itd be a 10 if it weren't for the blotchy backside of the phone

Excellent Case, Limited Cushioning but Adequate Protection
|
Pros: See through and clear which shows off phone well. Can peel off the protective film that was sold here at monoprice. Protects front and stays on well.
Cons: Can be a little tight for larger usb/power connector cables. Not very cushiony so it might not survive a hard fall. Back sticks to the glass and appears blotchy.
Great case for the price. This is the best case out of the 3 cases sold here(silicon and hard air case being the others).
