This adapter cable is designed to let you use both the AV and HDMI ports on your Xbox 360 or Xbox 360 Slim console. The cable includes connectors for analog stereo audio using RCA plug, as well as multichannel digital audio using the Optical Toslink port.
Unlike the Xbox 360 audio-video cable, which has a tab that prevents use of the HDMI port, this audio-only cable does not cover the HDMI port, allowing it to be used for video, while this cable handles the audio chores. However, the fit is very tight and ordinary HDMI cables can fit, but put a strain on both the HDMI and AV ports on the Xbox.
