While most WiFi antennas are in the 4-5" range, this antenna measures over 14" in length for maximum signal radiation and reception, to a maximum range of up to 1600 feet for 802.11n signals! It provides up -9dBi gain in the 2.4-2.5 GHz frequency range and can be used with IEEE802.11b/g/n standards. The antenna has an industry standard RP-SMA female connector, allowing it to be installed on a wide range of wireless capable devices.
Note that this antenna will not magically boost all signals up to a distance of 1600 feet. The distance to which signals can be reliably transmitted, and at which they can be reliably received, depends on the transmitter strength and receiver sensitivity of the wireless device.
