I use these all the time. In the time that I have been buying from monoprice I've probably used 500-600 of these...only had 3 or 4 fail on me. For the price, you can't beat it!

Great product, Great Price
|
Pros: Cheap, work well
Cons: The jacks are a little to wide, making them hard to get out of the plates
These work great. Put them in plates I also bought from mono price and they worked great except that they were a little bit to wide.

Good Quality Jack
|
Pros: Easy to terminate, labels are easy to see.
Cons: Two part caps to cover wiring wish it was a single part dust cap.
I've recently started using these over the Leviton brand. I have used about 350 of these jacks over the last 3 months and have NOT had one fail a test. If it failed a test it was because of user error with a reversed pair or something. They are great, the only thing I would change is make the back wiring cap a single pieces rather than 2 pieces.

easy to install part for DIY
|
Pros: easy to install with proper punch-down tool color-code guide on wrapper is easy to follow minimum packaging for simple part
Cons: none in particular
I used this part to expand my home network previously constructed using Monoprice parts. Since I was just stringing new cable between existing jacks, installation was just a matter of popping out blank connectors and installing these. It was easy to remember how to use the punchdown tool and follow the color coding on the jack's wrapper. I managed to do the wiring correctly the first time.

Too Wide!
|
These are too wide for wall plates. I tried them in both the one I bought from Monoprice and a Leviton brand. They were too wide for side-by-side installation. If you are using them in a 2 or 3 port plate which are arranged vertically, they are fine. But for a 4 or 6 port plate in which they will install side-by-side, don't buy these!

5371 Cat5E Punch Down Keystone Jack - Blue
|
Pros: This is a great jack. I have used 500-700 of these without a failure of any kind. They each come with push-on strips to seat the wire in the jack so you DO NOT need a punchdown tool when installing. They are quick to wire which is a plus
Cons: None
Overall a great product and cost effective

Further information that may help
|
Pros: These jacks fit nicely into the Monoprice wall plates and are priced right. Seem to be well-made and consistent. The connectors are well marked and have a nice clean install.
Cons: There is no pin numbering on these where you punch down the wires. I was having some DIY issues (that were my own) and looked to the knowledge base article. It shows how you install these but the illustration uses a different part, which isn't really a con for this keystone but it should be updated so that you can see exactly how it should look.
I want to provide some information that I did not have but may be understood by others. I am installing whole house ethernet Cat 6 to stream HD content to my different HTPCs and I used a configuration that sometimes included some long runs that had one of these keystone jacks on one end and a regular RJ45 Cat 6 plug on the other going into my gig switch. This does not work. You need to have a keystone at either end or a plug at either end not a mix. Even though I used the T586A on both configurations following the schema, it wouldn't connect. Maybe this will help some of you who were like me and new to Ethernet wiring. I wrongly thought that the keystones were faulty and missed that I just had them hooked up incorrectly.

I love the new connectors with the Zip tie! Makes installation a breeze when you can secure the cable to the connector before you punch it down.

Easy to install and like the color coding
|
Armed with guidance from the web to use the "B" wiring diagram, these jacks were easy to hook up and install. I took advantage of the colors to make the two runs from hub to two different rooms easy to follow (especially for the next person who has to decode my house.)

Works great and great price
|
Works great with the Cat5e cable I purchased from Monoprice.com. Very easy to use. I don't have an impact punch down tool, I just used one of those cheap plastic tools that come with some punch down jacks and it worked fine. I then just used wire cutter to snip off the ends. They seem very good quality and so much less expensive than Home Depot. Fast shipping and cheap shipping make it a fantastic deal.

Good product
|
All around nice product that snaps into a keystone plate tight. My punchdown tool had a hard time cutting the tails off as the recesses are deep. The wires seem to hold okay, but did slide up a bit when I jiggled the CAT5e cable (Ive never seen that happen with other brands). I pushed them down again with my tool and clicked on the clear sheild. I believe the connection to be good, but havent tested yet.
