This can be especially troublesome if your TV doesn't have any analog audio inputs to accompany the HDMI. Our latest adapter utilizes the power of USB to combine the benefits of Mini-DisplayPort video with USB's digitally synthesized audio and combines them into a single, convenient HDMI signal.

This device is not Bidirectional. It can only connect a Mini-DisplayPort source to an HDMI display. It will not work in reverse.
