I don't use this adapter anymore, I think I gave it to a friend actually. I needed it for a TV that sat too close to the wall but I've gotten a new TV. It worked perfectly and is solidly constructed. Holds firmly and just plain looks professional.

Mono Price is A-OK !! + Buy & No Regrets !
|
I have done business with Mono Price in the past , and dog-gone-it , they just keep getting better !!
The best prices , the best service , the best S&H time . ( Period ) !!
Once again Mono Price has saved my sanity and helped correct a "Sony" + SNAFU !
HDMI connectors should be in the back , not to the side. So if you have a Sony and have only 1 HDMI port left and don`t want your cable showing , this will be the way to go.
Thanks again Mono Price , __O one last thing , don`t change , you`r doing great !!

Great accessory
|
Got this to connect to the secondary HDMI ports on my Vizio HDTV. These ports are on the side of the TV and my TV is in a cabinet with no clearance around the sides. There are two different versions of this adapter, one that's 270 degrees and one that's 90 degrees. Make sure you look at the HDMI connector on your TV and the pictures of these adapters to determine which one will work for you. You can't beat Monoprice's price and shipping cost. Great deal.

HDMI Adapter - 270°
|
This adapter works great it allows the Sony Bravia control signals to pass between the Blu-Ray player and the televison, as designed reduces the strain on the HDMI port on the side of the TV and allows the HDMI cable to be concealed rather than extending beyond the side of the TV only to wrap back around out of side behind the TV.

Work Great
|
These adapters allowed me to redirect the cables from the side of my new Sony tv to the back. Now I don't have to look at them when I watch the tv. I plugged the adapters in and they worked as expected - no issues at all. The price was wonderful from Monoprice, as always. I bought 3 just in case I ever needed a few extra. Be sure that your getting the right ones for you application - 90 vs. 270 degrees.

Put 'em on the back of my DVR, BlueRay and Xbox so that I could get them closer to the wall on the shelf they are on w/ the cable going straight up to the TV w/ no kinks or bends in the HDMI cables.

... great idea. HDMI cables can be firm - ones purchased from Monoprice. Needed that 90 deg hook to attach to the TV (Sony XBR9). These did the trick - solid, well built, and gold plated. No picture loss or color saturation. Pure pass-through... NICE!

Not all right angle HDMI connectors are equal
|
Some idiot at Sony located the HDMI connectors on my 32XBR9 on its left side, not in the back. A 90 degree right angle points the wrong way. These let me have cables come in from the rear. Good price and quality.

These were just what I was looking for and work great on my Sony TV. Most places only have the 90 degree which wouldn't work with the TV. The 270s were just right. I was a little nervous about the adjustable ones. No noticeable signal degredation.

If your HDMI connectors are on the left side of your TV, like my Sony 32XBR9, they need a 270 degree not 90 degree adapter. There are TWO kinds of right angle adapters. These work for me.

Quality product
|
The product is well made and works fine. It is quite useful when routing the rather stiff circular cross section HDMI cable. The Port Saver permits avoiding a sharp cable bend. Be sure you get the right type, 90 degree vs 270 degree.
Quality is very good, price is great, and delivery was prompt.

Removes unslightly mess
|
My Sony TV has four HDMI jacks with one in the back and three of the side. Cables connected to the side jacks are visible from the front of the TV. With this HDMI Port Saver, the unsightly mess is gone. There are several permutations of this adapter, so carefully select the proper one for your equipment. Check the the price at R...Shack and you'll be thrilled with the low price from MonoPrice.

Confusing, but still good!
|
Ok, so I'm no angle man and I ended up ordering the 90-degree angle and it didn't work for my needs, so I had to get this one. It's really hard to explain, but if you have a HDMI port on the side of your TV and the larger section of the HDMI port is on your right, this is the one you need. If it's on the left, then you need the other one.

I have a wall mounted Sony TV and wanted to use one of the side ports. It wouldn't work with a regular 90 degree port saver, and 270 degree ones seem to be hard to find, not to mention expensive. This Monoprice port saver was very inexpensive, had the 270 degree twist that I needed, and works perfectly. You can't even tell there's an HDMI cable plugged into the side port!

Works perfect for my needs. I needed a right-angle HDMI adapter so that I wouldn't have to worry about breaking the port on my video card. (have to use the bundled DVI-HDMI adapter so I get audio over HDMI, so it sticks out farther than I'd like, and as a result, a normal cable bends the port more than I'd like)

HDMI Port Adapter - Great For New Sony HDTVs
|
This item works like a charm. Good snug fit on both connectors and excellent signal transmission. This item allows you to hook up an HDMI cable to an HDMI port on the side of your HDTV and have the cable connect from the rear rather than sticking out to the side in a visually obnoxious manner. Many of the latest Sony HDTVs have 2 or 3 HDMI ports on the side of the TV, making for some unsightly connections. This item solves that problem quite nicely.
Note that your HDTV will likely interpret the insertion of one of these port savers into its HDMI connector as the addition of another input, even if nothing is connected to the port saver. If this is a problem for you, just keep the port saver handy for when you actually need it for an input device. I just leave them in all HDMI side ports all the time, since it doesn't affect anything except the input list when you view the list. Note that there is also a 90 Degree port adapter for use with input devices you have in front of your HDTV (e.g., a game console).

These port savers work great, especially when working with the bigger stiffer cable. Could not have hooked up projector without one, bought all the variants (and a coupler, just in case), and am glad I did, because I forgot about the projector connector being upside down due to the ceiling mount.

Very handy...

Perfect for flush-mount flatscreens with AV inputs on the back instead of on side-facing panels, especially when working with heavy gauge HDMI cables that don't bend easily and terminate in hefty plugs. Makes the HDMI ports on the back side accessible again.

Just what I needed
|
I wanted to use the front HDMI port on my Panasonic plasma as a permanent input for my Xbox. The port is behind a door on the front so with a regular HDMI cable plugged in the door has to stay wide open and it's not pretty.
Using this 270 degree adapter I was able to send the cable straight down and under the TV and now the door is nearly closed. A much cleaner look.
The 270 degree adapter is somewhat harder to find than the common 90 degree style.
Monoprice had it, at a great price, and it got to me in Canada in 1 week.

I have a flush TV wall mount from Monoprice and needed some 90 degree / 270 degree adapters to be able to plug things in the back of the TV. This is exactly what I needed and far less expensive than other places. The shipping was fast and the USPS has upgraded their tracking so it is on par with UPS now. Nice!

Needed for my Sony 52 LCD, don't forget you need 270 degree, not 90 degree! Why Sony would put so many ports on the side, I have no idea. But these do the trick along with the 28 AWG port savers.

Very compact, tight fit on all my LCDs HDMI ins. Sammy, Sony Vizio good firm fit on both male and female connections.
Cleans up the side connections especially on the 47 Vizio 120HZ ~{horrid side connection design}~.
These are really really compact and gets your HDMI cables in close. Life saver on the Vizio set for sure.
As Reviewer GURSK from Vancouver, BC mentions Carefully look at the position the male connection makes to your set. Many order the opposite/wrong one, just trying to save some from a simple bummer mistake...
Cheers

Price is very good and these port savers reduce the lenght of HDMI cable you need.

Great for tight spaces!
|
Works like a charm & lets me get my components snug up against the wall. Another Monoprice home run!
Make sure you get the right orientation plug for your setup! You need to consider not the angle, but the orientation of the male & female connectors relative to your equipment.

Classic Monoprice...high quality, low price
|
Only reason I didn't give it a 10 is b/c I tend to think that nothing is perfect. The product is classic Monoprice, high quality and low price that more than does the job. I liked that the rubber was high quality and that they fit snug and almost seemed to lock in place.
Highly recommend

In use on Sony KDL-52V5100
|
I bought three of these to use on the HDMI connectors on the left hand side of my TV (Sony KDL-52V5100). For some reason Sony thought that HDMI cables would remain out of site if the connectors were almost flush with the side of the TV. Not so much. These connectors take my HDMI ports and "aim" towards the wall behind my TV. If I were to do it all over again I would look for a HDMI cable with the 90 degree or 270 degree bend in the connector end so that I wouldn't need this adapter but since I already had existing cables this was my fix. My only problem with my whole solution and I think this is because of the multiple HDMI connections in a small area is the connection doesn't really feel solid, the connections don't fall out or anything but there is a little slop in the whole thing. Not a big deal since I don't plan on plugging and unplugging this connection a lot.
