Simple Adapter, Great Price
|
Monoprice helped me solve a problem with my Home Theater system without the high cost we are all too familiar with from other sources. I needed a simple DVI cable adapter and I was able to find one quickly on the Monoprice Web Site.
I am completely satisfied with the quality of the part received and impressed with the whole ordering and delivery process.

Great product, perfect price.
|
Feels heavy and high quality, solid HDMI connection. I'm using it with a pair of DVI over cat6 extenders pushing 1080p over 60feet of cat6 and it works exactly as advertised. And as always, monoprice runs circles around the competition.

Adapter was needed to connect to an older HD TV. It worked flawlessly.. The price was excellent & as always so was the service. I would never by cables, adapters or other electronic needs from anyone else.

HDMI cable prices
|
Do not buy the expensive cable at the box store unless you have much more money to blow than you need. These work just fine, and won't put your budget in a bunch.

My new Dell desktop came with a DVI connector on the monitor but not on the tower which had an HDMI connector. Purchased adaptor from Monoprice for a fraction of the Dell
price. No problems - works fine. Monoprice pictures of the product made it easy to be confident I was ordering the correct part.

High Quality & Low Price, It Must Be Monoprice!
|
Really useful product. What I did was buy a HDMI/DVI cable and then order this adapter so I can have 2 cables in one. DVI to PC and HDMI to HDTV or HDMI on both ends. Quality is just to be expected from monoprice, EXCELLENT!

Excellent product at an excellent price!
|
I often wonder why people still buy products like this at retail outlets? I mean this was 90% cheaper on Monoprice.com then at my local Radio Shack. Being this the first time using the site I am 100% satisfied and WILL be returning if I need another item in the future.
People, stop being mindless meat with eyes and stop paying retail prices. Monoprice rocks!

Quality PS3 Converter Tool
|
I used this for a while in order to convert the video from a PS3 to an external monitor, and it worked wonderfully with no complaints. Keep in mind if you order this, odds are you aren't going to get audio going through this converter, so keep that in mind when you're looking at how to hook up your system. (the PS3 can send video out the HDMI port and audio out the composite port)

Why pay monster prices?
|
Had previously purchased a 35' DVI to HDMI cable from Monoprice to hook my HTPC up to a projector. When I finally gave in and bought a real Blu-Ray player, I needed an adapter.
The brick-and-mortar, surprisingly, was selling a very similar adapter for $34.
Not only was this 10X cheaper, but it was shorter than the other adapter, making for a much better fit in my audio rack.
One nice thing about the version from the brick and mortar, though their liberal return policy meant I could enjoy my new Blu-Ray player while waiting for my Monoproce replacement to arrive. :)

Monitor Adapter
|
After checking out Radio Shack locally and online I decided to give monoprice a try based on other customer reviews and price for the above item. The part arrived promptly and does everything it is supposed to do.
I had no problems connecting the VDI-D cable to the adapter and the computer so I highly recommend this part and monoprice to anyone in the market for electronic parts.

This works perfect for my beagleboard to connect to a DVI-D monitor. The actual beagleboard web site pointed me to another vendor that wanted to charge twice as much for the same product. Needless to say, I'll go to monoprice instead.

I bought this as a route to connect my PS3 through the HDMI jack to my monitor's DVI port, and there were no issues in doing this. I've actually changed monitors in the past couple days (from 720p-capable to 1080p-capable) and am still having no issues. Since HDMI and DVI are wire-to-wire compatible, I don't see any reason to say much on the quality of the picture, but there's nothing that makes me think the connection is degrading at all.

Ordered this Adapter on Monday July 1st and got this Tuesday July 2nd with overnight shipping, Adapter works great so far no problems hooked my PS3 to my LCD monitor using this and display looks awesome. Item works perfectly and is high quality. Do not buy cables, connectors, or converters anywhere else. Also, I ordered three products on Monday and received them on Wednesday! Super-fast shipping! The item causes no handshake issues between my Panasonic Plasma and Toshiba HD-DVD player.

Works great with a Hitachi 50V500 and a Motorola DCT-3416 cable box. The TV has DVI 1.0 with HDCP 1.0. The DVI side of the adapter appears to have all the pin connectors for a dual-link connection, but I can only verify single-link works.

Great Adapter
|
This adapter worked perfectly for me. Plug and play. Signal is perfect, as it should be with a digital source. You can't really go wrong with this one. The only minor disadvantage is its size (length), as it sticks out of the back of my computer a bit. Not a big deal. Otherwise, it's perfect.

Video quality is great, it preserves the quality I typically get when using my DVI cable on a device with a DVI input. Only complaint is that, at least when I ordered mine, there was not one available that was at an angle, because with a DVI connector plugged into this, it is quite difficult to use in tighter spots because its so long. If they make 90 or 270 degree ones available, I will be first in line to buy them!

These would not work with either satellite receiver or dvd player. No picture at all when adapter was used. More expensive local one worked fine.
