Good qaulity.
Pros: Good quality. Pretty cheap. Works.

Cons: None so far, only complaint is shipping cost.

Took about 5 mins to figure out how to plug it into the motherboard as it comes as two seperate 5 pin plug. IRC, both red ends/wires are supposed to be on the right when plugging into 1 of the usb headers.

Pros: Good Price. It works. Easily remove from bracket for internal usage. Separate USB plugs, single row header.

Cons: Very short cables. Can't remove the plastic USB plug cover.

I like to mount a USB flash drive internally to keep backups/copies of important documents/files. I also like to use an internal USB drive for a server OS like FreeNAS. Keeps the computer clean and prevents the risk of bent/broken drives since it's plugged in all the time.

These USB header cables works perfectly in my Shuttle XPCs, and I need just one cable per PC, so I can get two per bracket. Works right out of the bag, no need to re-arrange the pins.

The downside of the single row header vs the double row, is that there is no keyed pin, so you need to figure out which is the right way to insert the header. The red wire is VCC, and the black wire on the other side is the one that should be plugged into the keyed pin.

slot cover with usb ports
Pros: converts 2 usb headers to usb type a female ports for the rear of a pc
works flawless, easy install

Cons: short cables

short cables make for a cleaner install if they can reach the headers

Pros: Works fine.

Cons: Cables too short - need another 2 to 4 inches even for a micro atx board to have enough slack and positioning options.

Yup.
Pros: It works.
Can remove ports from bracket with ease, without breaking it if you need to put them back on.

Cons: SHORT cables.

Cannot remove bracket mounting that attaches the ports to the PCI slot cover. But that also mens that you can easily mount it to a custom hole.

I got this for my HTPC so i could hook a couple components into it and hide them inside the case.

Since i'm doing this, the VERY short cables aren't really an issue, but be warned they're only about 8 inches long.

Extra USB
Pros: -Adds 2 more USB ports to the back of the PC

Cons: -The cables could be an inch or two longer.

-Installation was extremely easy. The PCI brackets connected directly to the 2 closest USB headers on the motherboard. I have an extra USB header on my motherboard, but unfortunately the cables on this bracket are a little too short to reach it. That is the only reason that this product did not get a rating of 10.

Need USB Headers?
Cheap bracket, but more importantly for my purposes was the fact that the USB ports are SEPERATE on the bracket. So if you just need to convert a USB header on your motherboard to a USB-A-Female port so you can boot off an internally housed Flash drive, this is the part you'll want. You'll be hard pressed to find a better deal on just a Header-USB-A-Female. I bought about 10 of 'em so I have them handy.

Great part, awesome price!
This item performs flawlessly. I put it into my Dell i546 desktop, took less than 5min, and cost a LOT less than what the Egg or the Tiger wanted for a similar (nearly identical) item (close to $10)... thanks, MonoPrice!

I purchased this item to use with Monoprice item number 226 so that I could make an internal connection to the USB hub rather than running the hub cables out the back of the computer, so I did not install this as-is. However, the cables are only 8 inches long, and for my computer if I were going to install this in an expansion slot and use it as designed, they would not reach the headers on my mobo. Why the manufacturer didn't go with at least 12 inch cables is a mystery. I'm giving this item a rating of 9 because of the short cables, but for my application they are a 10. It's hard to find header cables like these.

This item works just fine. Be warned that the cabling is quite short. There is considerable tension in the units cables and my USB header pins are slightly bent now. Measure from your motherboard headers to your PCI slot covers to see if it will fit, account for curves too!
The cables are only 8 long.

Still, it is a steal for the price.

This adapter works with no problem. Also, the female jacks are easily removed from the pci plate. This allows for the jacks to mounted elsewhere (if you want to modify your case) or allows you to use this as an internal adapter - for connecting standard usb a-male devices (such as an internal usb bay or card reader) to the motherboard header. Many internal devices need an adapter like this, unless you plan on routing the cables outside of the motherboard (using up one of your external jacks) or if you have or plan to buy a pci usb card with internal jacks on it. A great overall solution, and very inexpensive.
