Much Better
Pros: Thin

Cons: A little thinner would make it perfect

It seems once you break the 15 ft threshold, the cables cannot be as thin as the smaller ultra thin cables. While the thickness of the 30 ft cable is a huge improvement over other-sourced 30 ft cables, it would be ideal if they were able to make it even a little thinner. But the cable itself is great - relatively flexible and as I said thinner than store-bought cables of that size.

Pros: Works as advertised
Very clear signal
Slim head allows for easy routing through pipe channels within the walls

Cons: Somewhat stiff to bend

I am only reviewing the video quality of this cable as I use a toslink cable for audio to a receiver. I have this cable going from my Bell HD PVR to my Panasonic Viera tv. No issues at all with this cable, it is a little stiff to bend so if routing through a pipe channel within your walls 90 degree bends take a bit of time to get it worked through. I use a 2" pipe diameter and use string to pull the cables though.

Would recommend!

Redmere works when source is DVI-toHDMI adaptor
Pros: Redmere cable functioned properly when the signal source was a computer (Mac) DVI output with a DVI-to-HDMI adaptor. This adaptor is completely passive, only changing pinout location and geometry.
Cable functioned correctly in 30 foot length.

Cons: One could wish for the cable to be even thinner, more flexible, and lighter but this Redmere cable is an order of magnitude better than just using a long cable with very heavy gauge wire.

I try for a very clean looking audio/video installation (AKA spouse acceptance factor) despite that my video equipment is across the room from the TV and the computer that I also use as a source is even farther away. My solution is to run the cables in the crawl space under the house. If you've ever tried this you know that it requires considerably longer cables. The Redmere cables are performing correctly despite the long length, and they have a much more reasonable bend radius and weight than a standard type cable of the same length would require.

An important aspect for me is that the power requried to run the Redmere device(s?) in the cable apparently comes from the RECEIVING end of the cable. This allows me to use as a source my computer with a DVI-to-HDMI adaptor. Since this is not a fully functional HDMI connection, it certainly has no 5 V supplied to it. The cable works fine.

Didn't Work
Pros: It was delivered.

Cons: It isn't worth a lick. Didn't work, went out and bought another one and the other one did. No question it was this. Also got a mount and a IR Repeater, would highly recommend either of those but not this.

CAN'T SAY ONE GOOD WORD ABOUT THIS CORD.

Hello WDx3,

Thank you for your review and my apologies for the issues you have experienced with PID 9430. Unfortunately, it sounds like you may have received a defective product.
Now if you'd like, I can help setup an RMA for a replacement. If you would like me to proceed with the RMA, all I would need is the order # this cable is under. Sorry again for the trouble and thanks in advance!

Drops signal after playing audio for ~2 seconds
Pros: Thin for length

Cons: Doesn't work, directional (make sure you pay attentions to the ends when you run this cable)

Cable drops signal (audio and video) after ~2 seconds of audio playback. Requires restarting AVR to reestablishing handshake w TV and I get video. When I start to play audio, it will drop the connection.

great product
Pros: Built well, great signal quality

Cons: Thicker cable then "Ultra Slim" I would say its about a standard RG6 cable thickness

would be great if it was stated that it was a thick cable

Awesome cables
Pros: Thin & flexible
No issue with signal dropout

Cons: Price, a bit pricey but well worth it

I replaced the premium monoprice cables with these to run from HTPC accross an attic space to a wall mount television. The premium cables suffered from periodic signal loss due to the length of the run. These RedMere cables have no problem with the length of the run and they are much thinner and more flexible, an added bonus. highly recommend

RedMere Rocks!
Pros: Thinner cable turned easily in wall conduit. Made hiding the cable for my projector a lot easier.

Cons: A little pricey.

30 ft cable with no noticeable loss of signal or performance. I switched between a regular 3 ft HDMI and this 30 ft HP cable. Could not detect any signitficant differences!

It works
Pros: Thin, works over 30+ feet.

Cons: Price

The cable is thin, and it works over long distances. I tried two other (cheaper) cables before finally giving in and getting these. I should have started with these. The other two didn't work, even though they were large-gauge and high-quality. This one worked, and was thinner and lighter, to boot. I would recommend them.

Ok.. Not Satisfied
Pros: Long
Thin
Full HD

Cons: Connectivity Issue

I purchase this for a new install of a TV in which we normally have

Source Device -(HDMI) 7.1 Audio Receiver -(HDMI)- Television

We use the receiver as a switch between devices and also to maintain highest quality of sound. Wiring the way we had it prior to move of the TV it worked fine with regular HDMI cables and now needed length so ordered this cable in which it does not transmit and signal at all.

Works great
Pros: Works perfect. Easy to work with because of how thin it is.

Cons: None

I replaced my monoprice 22awg hdmi wire with this one. So much easier to work with compared to the thickness of the 22awg wire behind a wall mounted tv. Works flawlessly with tivo premiere, ps3, and Xbox 360 coming from a monoprice 5x1 switch. Highly recommended.

Works Great, Excellent Value
Pros: - Quality construction
- RedMere technology
- Gold contacts
- Excellent value for the money
- No degradation of picture, even at this length

Cons: None

I was a little skeptical initially about sending an HDMI signal 30 feet without significant picture degradation. I had not heard of RedMere technology before, so I thought I would give it a try. I evaluated it against a 6 ft high quality cable between my BluRay and my TV, and against a 3 ft cable from my DVR to my TV. In both cases, there was absolutely no difference.

I bought the cable so that I can connect my laptop to the TV. I had been using an SVGA cable previously. There is no comparison between the two. The SVGA looks blurry and lacks detail by comparison. The RedMere HDMI is clear and razor-sharp, and the colors are vibrant.

At a little over $46, this is a great value!

Great cable for long runs
Pros: Thin, light and flexible. HD picture is excellent.

Cons: None so far

Had to replace my old 25' hdmi cable that fat and very stiff. I had run the old cable through an 1 1/2" pvc pipe i had put in the wall during a renovation. It took numerous tries to get it through. I freaked when the old cable failed. I was so glad when I saw this cable and had no trouble getting the cable through the pipe. The pleasant surprise was how great the picture was. Even my wife remarked how good the picture is. I call that "wife approved".

HDMI Cable with RedMere
Pros: Very slim when compared to the 14 gauge cable I originally purchased for a 30 foot run.

Cons: Wish this was available when I made my original purchase.

I originally bought a heavy duty HDMI cable from Monoprice for a 30 foot run from my BluRay to my Panny TV. It was so heavy duty that it loosend itself out of the HDMI port on the back of the TV causing loss of picture in the middle of playback. I then found this cable and replaced the heavy duty one. The performance has been flawless with no noticable delay and the picture quality is excellent! Highly recommended!

Great product - just didn't work
Pros: Got here quick. Didn't take up much room in my smurf tube.

Cons: Didn't work.

After installing all if the theater equipment in my room , found that it didn't work. Ordered 2 50 ft hdmi cords of same type and they worked fine. Would return it, but trying to pull it back through the smurf tube is way more hassle than it is worth since Sheetrock is now up. Poor plan in on my part for that one. Had to run to bestbuy and spend $250 on a monster 35' cable. Oh well my projector works like a champ now.

Hello Texman,

Just to verify, you did try this the other way correct? As this is mono-directional so it will only work in one direction. I hope this helps, thanks!

not
Pros: HDMI cables are great in general, nothing special about this one though.

Cons: Not nearly as thin as I expected. I have ordered "ultra slim" HDMI cables before and they were about the width of a shoe string on a dress shoe.

Not worth the money, get a standard HDMI cable.

Pros: There are only Pros for this product. The end connectors were small enough to pull through the one inch conduit I installed. It delivers an unbelievable picture quality.

Cons: There are none

The service was great. You have a very efficient purchasing and shipping department.

Cons: Have to create an account to purchase. Should be a guest option available.
Not every cable has color options, would be nice.
(I'm being a bit picky I know, overall I'm glad to have found this site!)

These are the kind of prices companies should be charging! Nothing greedy, just fair and low. You get your profits from market share, not gouging what limited customers you have until they leave. Happy customers multiply - Business 101.

You can't put a price on customer loyalty and I will ALWAYS refer to monoprice.com for their products. Low price, speedy service, accurate and detailed product descriptions.

Just as good as cables 10x the price
Pros: Length of cable, ease of installation, price

Cons: None

Worked the exact same as its 60ft. cousins. This line is now my go-to cable for all of my company's A/V installations. Customers are happy because it works and costs are relatively low. I'm happy because I reduced my costs while keeping quality up. Not only do I install it in customer's homes, but I outfitted my new house with RedMere cables from Monoprice. Compatibility issue
Pros: Thin flexible cable
Monoprice support and service

Cons: Doesn't work at all with my sony projector

I don't know if it is the cable or the projector, but this cable doesn't work at all with my sony vpl-hw50es projector. Monoprice exchanged it and the second one didn't work either. Basically the projector cannot negotiate a signal when it tries to connect with this cable. The projector actually hangs with a black screen and won't respond to the remote until I disconnect the cable or turn the source device off. I had the cable connected the right way but I tried it the wrong way too in case it was mislabeled. For 30 ft redmere seems unnecessary anyhow since a normal high-speed cable works great. I had to buy it from another store though because the only high speed 1080p 3d capable non-redmere 30 foot cable that monoprice had were too thick and inflexible.
