Pros: It plugs directly into monitor. So,you don't need an additional DVI cable and because you don't need the extra DVI cable it does fall out of Macbook port.
Cons: None so far.
It works GREAT!!!

INEXPENSIVE MINI DISPLAYPORT TO DIV CABLE GET THE JOB DONE
|
Pros: Good value, gold plated connectors, they get the job done.
Cons: I slightly over-estimated the length I required. Something shorter in the 6 to 8 foot range would have worked better for me to feed 4 monitors from one computer. This is not a product con, just be careful you really need a 10 foot cable.
I have found no vault with these cables. They all perform just fine. I consider them to be a good value.

Don't buy this for your iMac to TV HDMI connection
|
This cable will absolutely NOT work if you are planning to connect your iMac to a flatscreen TV. This is what I bought it for and could not get it work. I went to the Apple computer store and they told me in no uncertain terms that this is not the right cable. I bit the bullet and spent the $30 for the proper Apple cable and it worked immediately and continues to do so without issue. I didn't bother returning it and/or asking for a refund because I figure it wouldn't be work the effort for the amount.
I still like the great monoprice deals and will continue to shop here first when looking to buy cables, TV mounts, or whatever (just not a iMac HDMI cable).

MiniDP end is HUGE
|
Pros: Does exactly what it says on the tin
Cons: The MiniDP end of this cable is HUGE
This cable is a nice way to eliminate the Apple adapter required to hook a MacBook up to a DVI monitor. But beware that if you have a recent-vintage MacBook Pro, the DP end of this cable is so wide that it will block the adjacent USB port on your computer. I also worry about the stress this cable is putting on the MiniDP port since the long plug gives the cable extra leverage if it hangs at all. Would've been a much better design to put the adapter circuit in the DVI end of the cable where it's not in the way and you don't have to look at it.

Pros: Digital Video connection without adapters! Mini DisplayPort connector was easy to fish through the single gang recessed cable wall plate
Cons: None
Great connection from my 2009 Mac Mini to my 23" DVI monitor. No more adapters! No interference with any other ports on the Mac Mini.

Pros: Great picture, works perfectly
Cons: mini-DVI end of the plug is rather large.
This cable works great but as noted in the cons the only issue is the Mini-DVI end is quite large, and therefore kind of mashes up against the firewire and USB plugs beside it on the Macbook Pro. Doesn't seem to cause too much stress to the ports but just something to be aware of.

Blocks USB port
|
Pros: Does what it's supposed to at a great price. Super connector ends that don't look like they will ever break/kink.
Cons: Unfortunatly these really nice connectors are large so the display port connector blocks the adjacent USB port.
Get it if you like high quality and don't mind sacrificing a USB port if they are right next to each other.

Think Again - Don't Buy
|
Pros: An integrated DVI to Minidisplayport Cable
Cons: Connector at the Minidisplayport end is too big blocking access to adjacent ports on a notebook
Monoprice was great about handling the return on this. Unfortunately it looks like their supplier made an engineering change resulting in this cable being useless to most modern laptops. I tried two of these cables on a new MacbookPro and an HP Envy no luck the connector that does the conversion blocks adjacent ports. Stick with a DVI to Minidisplayport connector.

Great cable for miniport
|
Pros: High quality, flexible
This is a cable I bought to use with my new laptop with a mini-display port. I was a bit skeptical that the display port would not hold up, but this cable has been a good cable. I wish I could have found a black one, but this one works well.

ask, and Monoprice delivers
|
Pros: Good construction, nice length
Cons: Does not appear to pass a "sleep" command to the monitor/TV.
Ask and ye shall receive. I wrote to Monoprice asking if they could manufacture this cable. Got a reply from someone, had a dialog with them and a couple months later they came out with the cable. Awesome.

Functions perfect, but it's a bit obese
|
Pros: White, matches Apple products, and functions perfectly
Cons: FAT Mini Display port plug
The Mini Display Port plug is so wide that on my uni-body macbook pro the USB port next to the display port can't be used without seriously stressing both sockets. I probably should have gone with the small adapter and just gotten a standard DVI cable.
Other than that it's exactly as described, a high quality cable with solid construction.

DisplayPort - DVI
|
I ordered this thinking i'll get the updated displayport adapter (http://images2.monoprice.com/productlargeimages/60013.jpg). So I ordered 3. Ended up getting the bigger displayport end (http://images2.monoprice.com/productlargeimages/59983.jpg).
The bigger displayport end doesn't allow for usb to be beside it (Macbook Pro 17) and the quality isn't that great, as it slowly stop working from everyday uses over the course of 4 - 5 months.
Contacted support but didn't get much help except return it if you don't like it. So if your ordering this thinking you'll get the slim one, please beware.

Works well as a passive adapter
|
Pros: Cable provides the utility of a Mini Displayport to DVI adaptor plus a DVI cable all in one - saving the extra weight and connections of using a short adapter and cable. However you may need an active adapter instead of this for use with an ATI Eyefinity setup (see below).
Cons: Cable seems fragile and prone to kinks. I ordered two, and both arrived with permanent bends - flat areas that look as if they were run over by a narrow cart or chair wheel. One cable did not function and was quickly replaced by Monoprice. The larger-gauge replacement seems sturdier.
Be aware that it acts as a passive adaptor and cannot be used with multiple Mini Displayport displays and an ATI Eyefinity card (also found in current Mac Pros), which require active adaptors (single or dual-link, depending on the display resolution). These cost no more than the (passive) Apple adaptor and are made by a company called Accell.

iMac to secondary monitor
|
Pros: The cable connects my new iMac to a Viewsonic monitor. I plugged it in and, voila, it worked so well that I am not conscious of it being there. Too bad every piece of electronic gear doesn't "just work".
Cons: None that I've experienced.
I appreciate MonoPrice's low prices: more bang for the buck. I've bought other items from MonoPrice and I have had no problems. I always look at MonoPrice's site first before I buy anything in this category.

Works great on the new MacBook Pros and even works with a DVI - HDMI adapter attached as well. Port overlap is not an issue unless you have a huge USB flash drive plugged into the USB port right next to the MiniDP output.

Works as designed
|
This cable performs as expected, and there is nothing wrong with it's functionality. However, the dimensions are something you will want to consider. I use it on a MacBook Pro and the physical dimensions of the cable at the 'mini' end are such that I can not use either of the nearest ports simultaneously.
