Not sure what to say... the speaker wire was exactly what I wanted and needed, and upon delivery it didn't disappoint. I'd buy more of the stuff. Worked out great.

Pros: white sleeve cover, identifiable neg and pos cable.
Cons: none
nice cover shield, copper wire really thick and and sound sound the same but i do here a lil more clarity, now that i have all my units connected to HDMI going to my Yamaha 5.1 receiver. maybe made a difference but i am happy, for the price and quality its a winner.

Pros: Great value
Good way to buy CL2 in wall rated cable. I used about 40 out of 50 feet. No problem with it so far, I can hear music!

Good Cable
|
Pros: good, lengthy cable for in-wall installation. I used it to route a cable from the receiver (in my living room), down through the basement ceiling, all the way up to the back of the living room to connect my surround speakers.
Cons: the white jacket is a bit loose - does not hug the black and red cables tightly.
Good cable though - will buy again

Pros: well insulated cable connects easily with in ceiling speakers.
Cons: Not flexible enough to work with Speaker Control box. had to splice 16 gauge to connect into and out of wall controller

Pros: Good quality wire.
Color coded with very good wrapping and insulation.
Casing is easy to pull and also works fine running along wall when needed.
Cons: Lots of extra space inside the casing. Would go with a four-wire setup next time to minimize play.

Great speaker wire for a home theatre

Pros: + Just the right gauge for a home theatre
+ Smooth casing for easy threading behind walls
+ Great price and delivery from Monoprice
Cons: - Nothing I can think of
Nice gauge speaker wire for an in-wall installation. Purchased an Energy Take 5 Micro speaker system, and a new Denon 2112ci receiver, and needed the clean look of in-wall wires. This wire fit the bill very well - not too thick gauge for the no-so-great-quality speaker posts on the Energy speakers, and I didn't bother doing very much around the entrance of the wire into the drywall. (Although thinking about it my spouse would like to get some kind of rubber grommet or something to make it look even cleaner.)

Awesome Speaker Wire
|
Pros: Good quality speaker wire and da best price. This is best place to get your home theater you need. You can save more than buying monsters product they are same thing. I dont see any different between them. So monoprice is best choice if you want to save money.

Good, 14 gage stranded speaker wire suitable for installing in walls. CL2 rated means it's safe for in wall installation. Red and black wires have a thin plastic sheath, and those are inside a white larger sheath. The white sheath is a bit large for the 14 gage wires, they are a little loose inside.

OK Quality Medium - High Price
|
I've purchased a couple spools of Monoprice 14/2 speaker wire for projects in the past. This most recent time, I came up short and had to finish my installation with some 14/2 speaker wire which I purchased from the Home Depot. In comparison, the Monoprice wire has much softer and less durable sheathing than the Home Depot wire. Also, although the specifications say it is a 14Ga wire, the diameter of the Monoprice 14Ga conductor was perceptibly smaller than that from Home Depot. I can't comment on quality of the "oxygen free" copper itself, but have no reason to believe that there is anything particularly wrong with it -say from an attenuation perspective. Also, the linear price per foot was about 10 cents cheaper at Home Depot.
In the future, I will save myself the shipping costs and delays and procure locally through the Home Depot.

This replaced the original Monster Cable that costs 4x more and I did not hear the difference at all in sound quality. Well done - Monoprice! I have already recommended your website to at least 6 of my friends as your products are damned cheap, excellent build and its value for money cant be beat.

Speaker wire seems functionally fine, but they advertise as "decor-friendly," yet every six inches of the white cable exterior have black lettering "MONOPRICE E22685 (UL)C(UL) CM OR CL2 AUDIO CABLE 14AWG*2 STRANDED XXFT"
So it's not exactly invisible along white walls. I appreciate the info on the wire, but if you are looking for a truly "decor-friendly" wire you might want to look for another product.

Great wire
|
This is not my first experience with this wire and it wont be my last. Excellent shielding, thick copper wires, and color coded... cant ask for more. Not using for in wall at the moment but for the long run back to the surrounds and I cant be happier. Sound is excellent and the wire is almost too big for the JBL surrounds so make sure you check your connections before ordering 14 or smaller guage, this is the real deal.

Not So Great Quality
|
I was expecting a good quality cable but these were extremely hard cables unlike the Monster cables (yes I know..Monster Cables) that were of much better quality, flexible, weighty and not that high priced as I found out today at my local Home Theater store. Wish I had known before and wouldve just bought it from my local store. Live and learn!

Much thicker than i expected. Very thick insulation. I should have bought 4 conductor wires. I would advice you to buy 4 conductor wire if you are thinking about running the wire on the wall. Fantastic quality
