Wears very quickly

Pros: Fits, and is case-friendly for small profile jacks on iOS devices.
Cons: Wears out quickly.
I have tried both this cable, and the black one (product ID 9765). Both of them encountered the same issue after 1 to 2 weeks. The right channel cuts out, as a result of basic wear and tear. The gold plating is rather weak and seems to wear off very easily, causing the right channel to cut out intermittently. (The "ring" of the connector.) If you regularly remove and reinsert your cable, don't buy this.

Fragile

Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: fragile conductors
After 3 months of almost daily use the cable looked as good as new but 2 of the conductors were broken. There were no visible kinks, signs of compression or abrasions, but the conductors were broken. We also had the 3 ft version PID 9296. It failed in the same period.

Disappointed
|
Pros: its just a cable, nothing great, but for 2ish bucks cant complain.
Cons: break quickly
I have ordered 4 or 5 of these and ALL of them have broken with 1-2 months. Usually the one of the two channels goes out(its in the rca end everytime). I have had great luck with most monoprice items, but these are low quality.

Disappointing Cable

Pros: Inexpensive
Looks Nice
Cons: Stiff Cable
Bad Connection in Cable after 1 Month
This cable was exclusively used between a desktop headphone amplifier and a pair of headphones so it wasn't an abusive environment for a cable. After a month of use the cable developed a bad connection and was no longer useful.
Given that these 3.5 mm cables are frequently used for headphones or to connect a portable device to another device the stiffness is bothersome.
The thin flat cable that came with the headphones was very nice but short. Similar cables can be flexible.

Excellent as usual
|
Pros: Sturdy and well made, works well with players in cases.
Love the attention to detail with the flanged base to allow it to be used easily with iphone/ipod cases. The cable is heavier duty than usual too. Perfect!

|
Pros: Gold plated metal connections make it feel more "heavy duty".
Nice cable. It does the job and looks cool too. The metal ends are nice and the cable is fairly flexible which makes it easier to fold or roll up to put it in your bag.

Looks can be decieving
|
Pros: The special shape of the 1/8" connector really made it easy to plug into my iPhone with its protective case on. Looks like a premium quality cable with a thick jacket and gold plated connectors.
Cons: The cable developed a short in less than a month of light use in my car. Intermittent connectivity on cable tester confirms it is the cable and not other jacks.
I've had good results with Monoprice pro audio cables, but not so much in this case. This cable would be a great solution for a common problem if it were more durable.

Good at first
|
Pros: Decent length, good connectors
Cons: Cable failure
This did the trick, but after about 2 months of use the cable has failed. At first I thought, "oh cool, I can just unscrew it and fix it" but when I unscrewed it, basically the threads are like a molded part of the plastic that serves as a covering to enclose the cable/connector interface. I was a little disappointed but for the price, I am not too concerned. The barrel ends fit nicely into my Galaxy S3 with a case on it, which is great. Too bad the cable failed. Buy a backup!

does not fit on iPhone 5 with Dual guard case
|
Cons: When I ordered this item, the description said it would fit on an iPhone with any case. I have an IPhone 5 with a Monoprice Dual Guard case. I double checked prior to ordering to make sure they still agreed with their description. They said Yes. The item came and it does not fit. They are giving me a refund. They still haven't updated the description as of today, so be aware. I am glad they gave me no grief on the refund but I wish they had an audio adapter that would fit.

Pros: Can survive a van of kids on a road trip. Sound quality is very good.
Excellent! I got two of these. Both survived a road trip in two vans from Illinois to Wyoming to Utah and back, without a hitch. We were all entertained (barring musical taste :)

Nice cable - ends fit where others won't
|
Pros: White - easy to see/find in the center console.
Smaller insulation - fits tight cases
Cons: none for me
This is a nice cable. It seems to be well made. The insulation on the ends is smaller than most and fit my wife's iPod and both of our phones. Other cables had insulators that would not fit through the cases.

The 6' accessory cord is the perfect cable for connecting my iPhone to my motorcycle sound system. The cable is robust and suits my needs. The gold plate on the terminals is a nice touch.

Bad cable design
|
Pros: It looks good and seemed well built

Great design

Pros: Slender housing for the 3.5mm connections. Cable sleeve is durable seems like it will hold up to wear well.
Cons: White-only clashes with my vehicle's all black interior.
Slim design allows the connector to fully seat into all our phones/devices. We were previously using a regular 3.5mm male-to-male cable from Monoprice, and it worked in most cases, but this is an improved design that works in all cases.

Cons: Need a black version. The white stands out too much while plugged into the dash connector on my truck, I don't need thieves being able to spot the cable easily.

Excellent Chord
|
Pros: Good quality gold plated plugs, flexible chord with quality casing, very reliable
This is a well made gold plated 3.5mm plug/chord. The chord is flexible and suits most general uses. The plugs are of excellent quality and reliable. I used it to connect a new tv to an additional speaker system. It did the job beautifully.

Pros: Slimmer design, fits into tight places!! Gold connector ensures quality connectivity.
Cons: None
Perfect for connecting iPad to portable speakers that have a recessed port in the back. Other Monoprice cable outer housing was too thick to fit. This cable fits perfectly and looks attractive next to the white Ipad. Thanks again Monoprice for meeting my needs at unbelievable prices!!

Awesome accessory for those with iPhone/ mobile devices
|
Pros: Thicker, high quality cable. Seemingly well constructed at the ends, with real metal connectors.
Cons: None
This works great for connecting my Altec Lansing stereo system to my iPhone. I ordered this one and the 3.5mm to RCA one to have a simultaneous input from my iPhone and MacBook Pro, and it works fantastically. Big props to Monoprice for thinking of this.

Pros: Thick, feels good quality like the cable those big headphones libraries or computer labs have and very flexible, I have it folded in six and tucked in an elastic loop in my gadget/accessory case.
The silvery part is metal. Not plastic.
Cons: There could be a black one, and a red one, and a blue one.. and one to match everything you own.... but I'm fine with white for now.
Excellent replacement cable for headphones with removable cords! A pair I bought had the thinnest cord I'd ever seen on a pair of over ear headphones.. terrible. luckily I had a proper one lying around to test them out right then, but I wanted an extra. This looked great and it is! Quality, looks, and functionality. The 3 ft one would be just a tad too short for headphones to your pocket if you're tall like me, I like the slack of the 6 ft but would tuck the slack somewhere and run it through your shirt so it doesn't get caught on things while walking around (maybe I'm just clumsy). I have used this cable with headphones and with the Monoprice stereo headset hub and it fits fine in both and the connection is strong.
tldr Just buy it if you need a male to male audio cable. It's flexible and not heavy but not thin and easy to break. It has that little "shank" to work with cases. It's totally mobile device friendly. Highly recommended.

Poor color, nice connector
|
Pros: Plug end fits into headphone jack with case on ipod and iphone.
Don't have to remove device from case to connect to aux jack anymore.
Cons: White color doesn't blend in well with dashboard, etc. Cable color should be black.
Nice cable to use with gadgets in cases, wish color was black though.

|
Pretty much exactly what you would expect! Cable is of a pretty thick gauge and has a smooth finish. Seem like a standard thicker gauge headphone cable, which is good for quality but not too bulky or inflexible to make it a pain. Plugs on each end have GREAT fit and finish! I bought this to use as a better quality headphone cable for the Monoprice DJ style headphones, worked great
