Heavy Duty
|
Pros: Heavy duty Length of product is good
Cons: Ends have to be trimmed to work with phone cases Ends are very stiff
When I first ordered this cable I didn't like because it is huge in diameter compared to most auxiliary cables. With the cable being so heavy duty it does cause excessive wear on the auxiliary jacks on radios, I've solved this by pairing with a 90 degree adapter, this alleviates the pressure on auxiliary jack.

Awesome cable
|
Pros: Low Price Durable
Cons: Doesn't fit with iPhone cases
This cable is awesome for places that need a durable cable that gets used often. I got tired of thin cables giving up so I bought this and it's been great. The only complaint that I have is that I have to take my iPhone case off to connect the cable, but it's a fair trade for durability.

Pros: -Great length -Thick -Great sounding -Cheaper than others that are of less length
Cons: None I can think of
I bought this cord about a week ago and it arrived at my door just a few days later! It's really good quality and a good build too, feels like it will last a long time, way longer than my previous, wimpy 2-3 foot cord that was damaged from some excessive pulling. Thanks Monoprice!

I thought they were a great price. However... they are WAY too thick for the job they perform. We had to re-order the cables and get the "lesser quality" to get a thin cable, that's pleasing to our client.

Excellent cable
|
Pros: Good quality cable. Gold plated.
Cons: None.
This cable is by far the best 3.5mm audio cable I have seen, and the price is excellent. Go to a retail store and you get a flimsy little cable. This one is substantial. I highly recommend.

OMG this is ridiculous!
|
Pros: very high quality
Cons: larger than life. i mean disfunctionally thick cable. literally the cross section is 1/2"x1/4". too heavy and rigid for anything mobile.
they should put a warning on this... !!!SUPERSIZED!!! it was a surreal moment when i opened the package, like I had entered the land of the giants. amazing quality, but not good for tight corners, small spaces, or connecting handheld devices. It would be perfect if it were half the size.

RG6, really!?!
|
Pros: a lot of material for the money. The price is right.
Cons: Almost entirely unusable. RG6 is just way too big to be used as an audio cable. Its inflexible, obnoxiously thick, and when binder into a circle, takes up too much space. One has to buy exactly the right length for the job. Too inexpensive to ship back for a refund.
by Monoprice Administrator Hello Mr. Bartow,
My apologies the 3.5mm cable did quite work out the way you were intending. It is our premium gauge cable and can be a bit cumbersome at times due to the thickness. We do carry our standard gauge cable which is PID 645 and it is much more pliable. I have enclosed a link below for your convenience.
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021802&p_id=645&seq=1&format=2
As for your cables I'd be more than happy to issue a store credit for you and you can use it on your next purchase perhaps. I would just need an order number to get this process started. Again my apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Thank You
Sincerely

Perfect
|
Pros: Extremely durable Very high quality
Cons: Bulk and thickness of the cable might be inconvenient for short term use
This cable has served me well for a few months now I have never experienced one problem with the cable itself. I've been using it as a connector from my Roland keyboard to my computer's microphone jack.
The black portion of the cable is a bit bulky, which might make it awkward to connect to certain devices (especially small devices), but that's not really an issue for me. If anything, the thickness only adds to the durability!

Too bulky for its own good
|
Pros: Built well
Cons: too heavy - it pulls out of minijacks, and the weight of the cable puts strain on my laptop's sound card. also not very flexible.
It's too big to be usable. The audio on your ipod is already compressed, you don't lose that much comparatively in a regular cable. Go with the smaller, cheaper version.

A good quality cable, but I was a little surprised at its girth. It looks like it will hold up for a long time, it's just a little unwieldy for my purposes. Despite the thick insulation, it is still quite flexible.

Great products, prices & service
|
Pros: They have every cable imaginable, the best prices, and excellent service. Delivery time was quite reasonable also. I even rate their return policy and service as excellent
Cons: Although nearly all products are pictured appropriately so the buyer can see sufficient detail, it is not 100% the case. A few products need their images replaced with images that display the end connectors better - large enough to see the shape and details.
Excellent all around. I'll be buying my cables here from now on.

Good, but not what I expected
|
Pros: Good Quality Cheap (Price)
Cons: Too Bulky Cord is to Rigid
The cables are very good quality and so far I have had no issues with them as far as performance is concerned. My main concern though is that they are way to bulky, and a complete nightmare to use in anything other than a permanent situation. I normally keep a stereo cable in the car, but these ones are so bulky and awkward to use that I would never put them in my car. Rather than the cord being flexible and small, it is almost like dealing with a garden hose. I would not recommend buying these unless they are somewhere that is out of sight and you will not have to move them around ever.

Very heavy-duty
|
Pros: This is not a cable that is going to wear out from repeated use. No complaints about sound quality.
Cons: It is even more inflexible than I was expecting.
After I managed to wear out several cheap 3.5mm audio cables connecting iPod to car's auxiliary port, I decided to get a heavy-duty cable. This cable will definitely not wear out, but it is so inflexible that it is too annoying to use in the car. When the description says that it is a thick, inflexible cable, you should believe it. I'm going to buy a half-dozen of Monoprice's standard 3.5mm audio cables (at well under a dollar a piece), and just expect them to wear out after awhile. I would really like it if Monoprice would make something in between this heavy-duty cable and the standard cable.

Great for a strong cable, bad for small jacks
|
Pros: High quality cable, very durable.
Cons: While the jack itself is 3.5mm, the head (part where you hold it with your fingers), and the cable itself are about 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch in diameter. The cable resembles more of a large, high quality RCA R/L pair, rather than a 3.5 mm audio cable. In short, this is not meant as a portable cable.
I had intended to use this with my JVC HANC250 head phones (the audio cable can disconnect, and the provided one is only 4ft long), but the gigantic head on this cable is about 4 times as large as the port hole on the headset. Anyway, still a great cable for a great price, just be aware that it's rather thick.

Can't beat the quality-to-price ratio
|
Pros: Thick High Quality
Cons: May be too thick for its own good.
I still can't get in my head how this cable is so much cheaper than the competition. This cable is at least as think as a CAT5 cable FOR EACH CHANNEL. The cable was so thick I was afraid it would break the connector on the back of my TV when I was mounting it to the wall, so I waited to hook it up after mounting the TV.
A friend of mine tried to guess how much I paid for it and was way off at close to 10x the amount I actually paid... He's going to be buying from Monoprice in the future.

Excellent service all-around, product is ridiculously cheap (even after S&H) and works like a charm. Cable is a bit cumbersome and slightly heavy but I guess that's the price you pay for professional grade cables as these. No need to buy overpriced brand name products. Nothing more to say... Cable too thick
|
The PREMIUM 3.5mm cables are too thick for the small plug. Not practical to use with iPods, laptops, or anything else than fixed connections (in which this plug type is rarely used). Sometimes loses the connection on the other channel, as the heavy cable makes it hard for the plug to stay level in the socket. Impossible to use in a car, where I intended to use some of these. Considered returning, but thought there would be too much hassle with it.

This is a very nice, heavy duty headphone jack audio cable. I use mine to go from my computer to my TV, and i realized that the VGA and audio inputs on the TV were too close, but I modified my VGA cable to make it fit. But be aware that this cable is heavy duty (actually 2 large separate wires that are stuck together) so make sure you have plenty of space. Very great cable, no interference for me whatsoever. 10 out of 10 stars for sure!

Great heavy duty cable for cheap
|
I got this cable to hook up my Zune/Laptop to my Pod X3 Live so I can practice with my headphones. Great clear sound comes through and zero static noise when the cable is moved. The reason I gave it a 9 out of 10 is because the cable is a bit stiff and sometimes comes out of my X3's mp3 input when it's moved around a bit. Overall I''m very pleased with my purchase and will be buying from Monoprice again.
I've included a picture to try my best to get a size comparison.

Great Cables and Fast Shipping
|
What can i say great quality cables showed up in a days time for an insanely good price. The ends of the cables are pretty big i bought them for my PC surround setup and i had to use a dremel to shave down the plastic on the plugs to make them fit next to each other on my sound card. In hindsight i probably should have bought the smaller non premium cables but these ones looked too cool.

I was surprized when I opened the package to find this very thick diameter audio cable. As a cable for a portable device it's not practicle, very stiff. It tugs at the connection and torks when moved about. I don't understand the over engineering of this item.

Great cable, but it's stiff!
|
Amazingly high quality cable for the price. It's thick, so it's pretty stiff. I plug mine into a very light-weight Sirius dock, and the cable is so stiff that it won't lie flat, and kind of elevates the Sirius dock. Maybe a different kind of jacket would allow it to be "limper"?

As described
|
I have always been happy with all my orders from mono. This cable is as described and I have learned when they say PREMIUM and SHIELDED they mean HEAVY. My first premium/shielded purchase threw me when I had a big heavy cable on my cheap little plastic monitor but as a repeat customer here I know when they say shielded or prem they MEAN IT. I was not surprised. Their shipping is super fast always, will always come here first for anything they carry.

These are thick. I never expect that 3.5mm could be made as if they're coax cable. I think I will buy again.

The audio cable is great quality, but I wish that it was smaller. I replaced a lower grade audio cable that was getting a substantial amount of interference when used with my HTPC, and this cable has been a huge improvement. The cable is just so heavy I'm a little concerned that the tension on the small 3.5mm jack on my speakers might be put under too much pressure.

great value!
|
All the cables i've ordered from monoprice have been awesome quality but the real benefit is the price! I can't believe how cheap they're offering them! Everything came as advertised and shipped promptly without any complications. I've purchased several items so far and any time I've needed something, I've shopped here first!

Nice cables
|
These are a bargain, and very thick. Too thick actually. Would have given them a "10" had I not had to trim down the ends so I could get all 3 to fit into the pc jacks.
