Pros: Monoprice always have the best price and quality. Shipping is cheap and fast delivery.
Cons: None
My SteelSeries Siberia V2 game headset adapter was damage. I order 2 of this cables extension as a replacement. The Mic and headphone works perfectly. No static or background noise.

I work for an IT office at a university and we ordered 14 of these and not a single one of them worked properly. We had to wiggle the ends or plug headphones in halfway to get them to work. We are no longer using them. It is obvious that they did not go through any sort of quality control. DO NOT PURCHASE

Earphone extension cable
|
Pros: When I need cables I go to Monoprice. The prices are right and the products work. I used this cable to extend my earphones for watching TV as to not disturb anyone.
Cons: None
The cable works great and allows me to sit in a recliner and watch TV with my headphones plugged into my home theatre system.

Work well while they last
|
Pros: Cheap, decent feel and materials
Cons: Seem to give out after a relatively short period of use.
Bought one of these and their shorter counterpart a while ago and unfortunately it seems that both cannot hold their connection the cords near the jacks are bent or moved. Worked decently well while they lasted.

Pros: Good quality cable.
Cons: A little light weight
This cable works and I can't hear much if any performance through my headphones. No audio cutting out or things like that. Here is the but... I guess I should put this in the area where you can send suggestions for products or improvements. I wish the cable was a little better quality, a little heavier gage and shielding with maybe a cloth cover. Not to heavy as to pull to much on the cable attached to your headphones. "Pro quality"

Pros: Very goo pricing. Good quality cable and female connector.
Cons: Male connector poorly designed.
Cable is very competively priced. However, it appears that quality has been sacrified to achieve a lower price point. The male connector is very fragile. The male connector will fail with only a slight amount of pressure. I have replaced two of these cables due to a failure of the male connector. I take care to see that no pressure is applied to the connector. My feeling is that with an improvement to the connector, this cable would be an excellent buy.

Pros: Low price
Cons: static noise
At the first look, the exterior of the cable is nice and durable-looking. However, it has revealed a biggest disadvantage: there is a small static noise when using this kind of cable. Besides that, I have no other problem. The static noise is not that bad but it irritates me because my desktop is very quite... Well, you pay for what you get :)

Customer Service FTW

Cons: "Do I feel lucky... well do you punk."
My first cable became defective after about 2 days(sound cutting off) and I contacted monoprice. They offered to send me a replacement at no charge and I took it. The replacement cable had the same problem, as soon as I plugged it in. I was planing on just letting it go as it cost me about 1 dollar but I later received an email asking me how it turned out. After letting them know of the issue, I was sent yet another replacement at no charge and no fuss. This cable seems to be working well but at this point, for the ~1 dollar I spend, that is some good customer service. I makes me feel more comfortable towards buying something expensive from this site. Kudos.

Pros: It was exactly what I was looking for and it works perfectly.
Cons: If I fully plug my headphones into the female side of the extension cable I get a garbled sound so I have to make sure that my headphone jack is not completely plugged in to get the best sound.

good product for the price. I bought one from monoprice, which only worked for a couple of months. I used it very regularly for a few hours each day. So, i ordered it again from monoprice. for the low price, you can always buy a couple of them, when ever you need them. Or you could buy the premium quality product for a few extra bucks. I could not buy the premium product as it was out of stock.

I rely mostly on headphones at my desk and used this cable to give myself a greater range of movement from my computer. This cable worked great for about the first 10 months I used it. The cable is fairly thick compared to other 3.5 audio cables I have, while the heads seemed sturdy as well. After about 8 months of use at my desk, though, I began to get variable audio from one or both speakers. I noticed that the point when the exterior cover of the cable meets the neck of the male head had begun to break, exposing the wires below. I kept using it until fairly recently, at which point the audio has stopped working completely.

Its an extender?

Pros: It extends the headphones so you have plenty of space!
Cons: Again not free or delivered by dancing bears, is it so much to ask for to have even a single dancing bear?
What is there to say, its solid, its cheap, it works great. Instead of being tied to the front of my desktop when i want to game i can have the cord run around the back and STILL have room to stretch! Thanks monoprice, for all the little things you guys are my go to place!

Cons: A little heavy but that's my fault due to how i used it. So really, no cons
Dog chewed up the headset cables for my Gamecon headset. Now, i used 2 of these bad boys and wrapped them together with a nylon casing kit....The cord is now very solid. A little heavy due to thickness but I can no longer accidently run over the cable or have it get stuck.

Pros: I've had no issues with it. It works great for watching TV on my multimedia PC when it's late at night and I don't want to bother anyone. Cable's always better and more reliable than bluetooth.
Cons: None that I can think of, really. It's a cable, I mean it either works or it doesn't. This one works great.

I admit it, I am a geek. I am the only 50-something female I know who has built her own computer. I've been around and when I need "stuff" (geeks never have enough backup "Stuff") rather have extra than to ever have to stop to go shopping.

Pros: Great quality for the money. Solid connections. Heavy construction for a 3.5mm cable.
Cons: The resistance of 12 feet of cable means you might need an amplifier on lower powered portable devices if you want to use this cable for headphones/earbuds. This isn't so much a con as it's just the nature of a long cable.
Great cable for under a dollar. Can't go wrong with this one.

Unfortunate failures - on my 3rd cable.

Pros: Nice long and flexible cable.
Appears to be well made (unfortunately misleading)
Simple - should do the job.
Cons: After one replacement and one reorder, two of three cables failed.
Weakness in the female 3.5mm end.
I ordered this cable to extend a headphone output. My first cable failed 6-8months out - the female 3.5mm end became intermittent to the point it was unusable. The cable was not flexed frequently - I would say it moved once a week with very minimal pull. I requested a replacement and received one after sending in the failed cable. Something seemed "funny" about the female end again (hard to insert male connector) - but functioned for ~ 6 months and failed in the same manner. At ~$1.00 a pop, decided to order another, been a few weeks (5/5/11 now), lets see.

Pros: - Delivers the same quality audio from my headphones and earbuds. I didn't notice any difference in the audio when adding this to my headphones to extend the length of the cable.
- Really cheap price! I doubt that you'll find these prices anywhere else.
Great extension cable for headphones and earbuds. The quality of the audio is not effected by using this cable. One thing to note though just in case this matters to anyone, this is for audio only. After purchasing this cable I wanted to use my earbuds with an in-line mic to make phone calls, but found that it does not have that capability. Not a big deal since I did not originally buy it for that purpose, but if you intend to use it for that then find another cable.

Poor fit
|
Pros: Cable is very high quality
Cons: Shaft too small to fit standard plug
Intermittent operation
It appears that the tolerance on the shaft diameter was not met by the supplier. The 3.5 mm plug was too small to fit well into any of the devices I intended to use. ( I tried 3). This resulted in very erratic operation. I can only use it on my TV when I'm not moving. It likely makes this unusable for situation where you want to be mobile. In fairness to mono price I didn't bother to return it since the cost was so small and it did work when i'm watching tv in bed. In fact except for this problem,albeit a big problem, the quality was very high. I would guess they have corrected the problem by now,but you might check with mono price before purchasing to see.

Price and quality can't be beat! As with everything I've bought from monoprice.com, I'm very impressed with the product. And so far, I've been charged no duties on any of the items I've ordered into Canada.

Hefty cable for a not so hefty job.

Pros: It works. Hefty cable thickness.
Cons: Nada.
A 12ft male/female stereo cable. Needed it to allow for more maneuverability when working in studio. It does that quite well. That is all.

Seems to be working fine
|
I was a little hesitant to order since the other reviews have been a mixed bag. I ordered 2 (just in case one didn't work), but I have not had any problems so far. I have used it for a couple weeks only, so I cannot speak about the long term durability, but the product works as advertised. The signal is clear and I am happy with the purchase.

I purchased this as an extension for my earphones. This way, I can watch a movie or TV in the living room while sitting on the couch and not disturb my wife while she watches a different show in another room. This has worked well. It is limber and yet gives good connection.
This is a simple cable and it does what it needs to do.

This is an excellent cable. The connections are solid and it's suprisingly heavy duty. The rediculously low price is only a perk, I would have paid much more for this quality of cable.

Female side becomes defective after a month
|
Pros: Cheap
Cons: not good on a long run
Regular cable, seemed like well made at first but.....after using it for less than a month, and this applies not only to this one cable but to all range of 12ft and 6ft I bought here, the female connector provides a really poor connection and one channel gets lost, which is dissapointing.

Cons: Ends of the cable are too big to connect through case for 3GS iPhone, but can accomodate.

Died On Me

Worked for a little while. Then one channel went dead and a few weeks later the other channel died.
To be fair I left it on top of a warm media player for an extended period of time and I think the heat melted the thin coating on the stereo wires inside of the outer plastic, which caused it to short out.
Other than that it worked great, but don't expose it to any direct amount of heat for a long period of time.

12' Speaker cable

Pros: The speaker cable from Monoprice.com was perfect. I needed an extension for the rear speakers. The cables I received were heavy duty and more than sufficient. I couldn't believe the price for the quality of the cable. Other cables I looked at were two to three times the price and not near the quality of the ones I received.
Cons: Absolutely none.
Highly recommend this website for all your cable needs.

Worst cable at monoprice
|
Pros: Cheap, cable itself looks sturdy and flexible and well built.
Cons: The female connector always end up failing.
This is the third time I get the cable replaced and they always end up dropping the left audio over time.
Monoprice customer service is real good and make me want to come back and buy more items. I know that if I have a problem with the product Monoprice will take care of me.

Decent Extension Cable
|
Pros: Good extension cable for 3.5mm jack. I use them for both audio, and extending IR emitters.
Cons: 1 of the 5 I purchased was defective. It had an intermittent end, which lost me some time trying to diagnose the issue. Monoprice quickly sent me a replacement for the defective one.

There's just not much to say here. Its a great cable. As good or better than anything available at any other store.
The difference is the cost and ease of purchase.
I think I paid less than $2 for this cable (opposed to 8-10 anywhere else) and I found it within a minute of searching the site. Three days later it was on my front porch.
What more can anyone ask for?

Perfect price
|
This has been very useful in our exercise room, but unfortunately with all the beatings it finally developed a short. I don't blame the product, as I've yet to find any headphone, jack, etc that hasn't eventually shorted. The price can't be beat, I just need to get some more ordered.

Every time I would listen to music at my computer at work, the 4 foot cord was never enough so I could comfortably sit up straight. With this 12ft extension, problem solved! Works great. Just make sure it's plugged in fully - mine wasn't and only worked for one side for a while until I figured out it wasn't fully plugged in.

Cable Review
|
I know that it's only a headphone cable but for the price, the quality and for choice monoprice just cannot be beat. I use the headphone cable to hook up into my TV across the room so I don't disturb the rest of the house late at night. The cable is heavy enough for it not to be flimsy but also not too heavy to put into a small drawer.
All in all this is a great cable and well worth the few bucks I spent on it.
