Less wasteful than 1000' spool for small job

Cons: wasted connectors since I am just using the raw cabling
This is the second time I bought a length of cable to string in my home network between junction boxes. It is tidy to get a length consistent with what is needed for a single infrequent LAN update and just cut the connector off to make it "generic". It also allows taking advantage of the color selection available for organizing the several parallel runs in the attic. The wire itself works fine without picking up interference and the LAN signal stays sufficiently strong along my 35' length. I also used this cable successfully in pairs for HDMI signals with my Media PC.

Monoprice has the best prices for internet cables! The shipping time was only 2 days from California to Wisconsin. We have purchased items for our home entertainment system and for our home computer network. All components are high end and work great at the best prices you will find nationwide.

Excellent, can't be beat
|
Pros: inexpensive & high quality
All the Cat5e cables I've purchased from monoprice, in various lenghts (about 1000 to date) have worked great. Other vendors shudder when they try to sell me cables and I tell them i currently buy from Monoprice. Quote last vendor " Ohhhh, not monoprice!"

Good source for cable
|
I bought this as an inexpensive alternative to a 1000' spool for a small LAN project. I just cut out a section and the wiring worked fine over forty feet, through the walls. Signals came through fine on the first try.

great price and works good
|
I only needed 60' but I'm glad I had an extra 15' to get around corners and have extra slack to position the computer on the desk. Make sure you don't buy too short a cable.
I put masking tape over one end and ran it under my house and up a vent in the floor. Worked perfectly and the tape keeps the dirt out.
Now I just need to spray foam in the holes I drilled to keep the spiders out.
I plan to order another cable to put an ooma phone in the kitchen.

Good quality product, exactly as expected. I used these cables to wire my home network...simply cut them in half and used the Cat5e RJ-45 Tooless Keystone Jack (product #310) to create in-wall Ethernet jacks in all the rooms of my house!
