    Subpar at best

    Pros: Large display Sharp resolution

Cons: Flimsy base (really, it is that bad). HORRIBLE OSD/Menu, Not fully HDMI 2.0 compatible, poor color and gamma.

I really tried to like this monitor, but the lack of color detail, the horrific OSD/buttons, and the wobbly plastic base all made for a not-so-great experience. But the fact that no matter what video card I try I cannot get 3840x2160 60Hz to work over the HDMI (I used multiple HDMI 2.0 sources) was the killer. I need both the DP and HDMI to support 60Hz. 30Hz is unusable.

    Hello DNF,

Thank you for your review, and I am truly sorry for the inconvenience you've encountered with this monitor. Just to clarify did this work at 60hz for DP? Please let me know as it might be available only on that port. Thank you!

    by DNF
To clarify, the monitor worked fine at 3840x2160 @ 60Hz over the DisplayPort.

Nice sharp display, but the stand is total crap

    Pros: 4k display is beautiful

Cons: mount/base is total garbage - it not only can't support the monitor's weight if you tip it a bit, it just falls to the max bent position, but it also shakes when you type on your keyboard, the monitor bobs back and forth like bobble head. We have bought about 6 of these monitors and they all have the same crappy base. Our solution was to buy an additional monitor arm and replace the base that it comes with.

Pros: Light, huge, super clear works great.

Cons: From what you expect, the built in speakers are ok, but I use headphones.

The monitors are bright, clear and with 60Hz they just pop! 4K videos from YouTube look stunning, the text is so clear, working with these are just awesome. I have a total of three monitors, two for work and one for home. I use them for work most of the time and they are just great. The monitors are also surprisingly light!!! I first ordered the View Sonic 4K one on MonoPrice (should have trusted the reviews) but that was DoA, returned that one (and MonoPrice service was super for the return as well).
Then I went in for this monitor based on the reviews. Once I got them I hooked one of them up to a Surface dock with a Surface Book and WOW! The one I use at home with the Surface dock runs at 60Hz, the two at work connected to Surface Dock run at 30Hz (which is a limitation of the Surface or Surface Dock). There are zero dead pixels color is even, the built in speakers are ok but I use head phones any way. The connections, DVI, HDMI, DP are all great. I use Display Port. I would recommend these (proof is that I have three, bought at different times after trying out one). For the price of one dell 24 incher, I pretty much got two of the MonoPrice ones and that to 28”.

    Not bad for the price

    Pros: Came with HDMI cables
    Bezel looks very nice
    Menu is easy to use

    Cons: LOTS of backlight bleeding
Stand is very cheapget a mount/arm
Mount/stand blocks the ports on the back of monitor
Metal on back of monitor (around the ports) is VERY sharp

TLDR: The stand sucks, plain and simple. The 4k isn't bad, the colors are decent, but the back light shows through quite a bit. It's worse around the edges, but is pretty streaky on darker screens, too.

I shouldn't be TOO hard on this model for a 4k monitor, it was a pretty good deal. But alas, here I am... with a list of praise and complaints.

So, I bought two because they were cheap... and until I got these, never seemed to have enough screen space. These things are MASSIVEwhich I love. They look legit, and when they're up and running, work great, for normal watching needs and work/development tasks.

The colors all look good. I did have to adjust them separately... the same settings on one didn't look as good on the other... even though, they were brand new, and the exact same model and production date... anyways.... The colors are great, and were really easy to adjust.

While we're talking about the colors... the backlight is very nice to have, but it does bleed through A LOT on darker screens.

One MAJOR complaint I have is that for as big as these things are, the base that they sit on is total garbage. I saw someone else mention that the stand was not great, and the the monitor is very loose, with the screen itself tilting forward to the point that the monitor almost falls. (For one of my monitors, this is very true.)

Great monitor, and the stand are fine too

    Pros: Affordable and powerful

Cons: Small color mismatch between two displays

First of all, why is everyone beating up on the stand?
It's just fine! It holds up the monitors, tilts, and is relatively solid.
Sure, if you pound on your keyboard like a monkey or dribble a basketball on your desk, you're going to get some wobbling. But I've never experienced any problem with normal use.

Second, this is a great way to get into 4K video at an affordable price point.
I wanted to run two monitors at 4K, so I did my homework and upgraded to a GeForce GTX 960 card.
Connected the monitors using two DisplayPort cables, and boom, both running 4K (3840 x 2160) at 60Hz.
No drama. (And I'm running Windows 10).

Small issue... The monitors are slightly mismatched in regards to color temperature. I'll probably spend some time fine tuning the colors, but for now, it's plenty good enough.
