    Not bad for the price

    Pros: Came with HDMI cables
    HUGE
    Bezel looks very nice
    Menu is easy to use

    Cons: LOTS of backlight bleeding
Stand is very cheapget a mount/arm
Mount/stand blocks the ports on the back of monitor
Metal on back of monitor (around the ports) is VERY sharp

TLDR: The stand sucks, plain and simple. The 4k isn't bad, the colors are decent, but the back light shows through quite a bit. It's worse around the edges, but is pretty streaky on darker screens, too.

I shouldn't be TOO hard on this model for a 4k monitor, it was a pretty good deal. But alas, here I am... with a list of praise and complaints.

So, I bought two because they were cheap... and until I got these, never seemed to have enough screen space. These things are MASSIVEwhich I love. They look legit, and when they're up and running, work great, for normal watching needs and work/development tasks.

The colors all look good. I did have to adjust them separately... the same settings on one didn't look as good on the other... even though, they were brand new, and the exact same model and production date... anyways.... The colors are great, and were really easy to adjust.

While we're talking about the colors... the backlight is very nice to have, but it does bleed through A LOT on darker screens.

One MAJOR complaint I have is that for as big as these things are, the base that they sit on is total garbage. I saw someone else mention that the stand was not great, and the the monitor is very loose, with the screen itself tilting forward to the point that the monitor almost falls. (For one of my monitors, this is very true.)

Great monitor, and the stand are fine too

    Pros: Affordable and powerful

Cons: Small color mismatch between two displays

First of all, why is everyone beating up on the stand?
It's just fine! It holds up the monitors, tilts, and is relatively solid.
Sure, if you pound on your keyboard like a monkey or dribble a basketball on your desk, you're going to get some wobbling. But I've never experienced any problem with normal use.

Second, this is a great way to get into 4K video at an affordable price point.
I wanted to run two monitors at 4K, so I did my homework and upgraded to a GeForce GTX 960 card.
Connected the monitors using two DisplayPort cables, and boom, both running 4K (3840 x 2160) at 60Hz.
No drama. (And I'm running Windows 10).

Small issue... The monitors are slightly mismatched in regards to color temperature. I'll probably spend some time fine tuning the colors, but for now, it's plenty good enough.

    Perfect monitor for me

    Pros: Gorgeous Picture Quality

    Cons: None

I'm using this as a 4th monitor on my iMac. It is connected with an HDMI converter and is plenty bright. I especially like the fast response time, as I'm mainly showing video on it. It is setup for film directors to have their own monitoring space while I work with them. They have all said that it is a gorgeous screen. The support stand is fine for me - The monitor is only slightly tilted back and stays in the same location under a shelf. I am considering buying another one to use with other computers. I think this is a great monitor for the price.

Great monitor, but not so happy with 4k

    Pros: Great price
    Great color
    Fast response/no lagging
    4k

    Cons: Cheap base
0.5" shiny bezel around screen (slightly larger on bottom)

This is my second monitor from Monoprice, replacing a two year old 2k 27". This monitor has a beautiful image with excellent color and not a single dead pixel, at least none that I can find. I have no problem with it and it hooked up to my Windows 7 system without a hitch. 5/5 for the monitor.

Windows, on the other hand, is a disaster. I run 3 monitors (the 4k and two 1080p's on the sides). While it handles my extended desktop just fine, the scaling between screens is poorly handled. If I scale up windows on the 4k, the UI on the 1080p's are huge. If I reduce to have normal sizes on the 1080's the 4k is simply too small (text is minuscule). 1/5 for windows.

I just wanted to say this isn't a problem with the monitor, but people should be aware this could be an issue if you're in a multi-monitor setup in Windows 7. I find it frustrating and am considering going back to the 2k.

Good value, but could use a few modifications

Pros: When all is well it's an excellent picture.

Cons: Ports align with stand flexes ends of cable.

Of course 4k takes a lot of video memory and if your PC isn't quite overqualified it can put you in some situations that you can only reboot to restore video. The stand obscures your ports so you need to get swivel or 90°. My Display port stopped working, and you can't do 4k / 60 Hz over even dual-link HDMI, as far as I've been able to.
