Sky Shark RC Helicopter with Gyro, 4.5 Channel - Blue
Experience the magic of flight using this Sky Shark RC Helicopter from Monoprice!
This RC helicopter features a sleek body design and blinking LED lights. It has a built-in rechargeable battery, which allows for up to 5 minutes of flight on a full charge. The battery can be charged using either the controller or by plugging it into a USB power source, such as a computer USB port or a wall chargers.
The controller supports three different channels, so you can operate up to three helicopters within the same area without interference. The controller communicates using infrared signals, so this toy should be used indoors only and should be kept away from sunlight and other bright lights.
Got another one. Best fly it in a large room without too many obstacles.
PROS: Lots of fun :) pretty easy to learn how to fly and manoeuvrable
CONS: Too many crashes and it's out for the count.
Thanks again to Monoprice for great customer service!
PROS: Easy to fly.
I think above average battery life compared to other helicopters
CONS: Maybe the on-off switch.
PROS: Faster than I thought it would be. Seems very sturdy not like cheap styrofoam. I believe it is all metal/plastic so that is nice since I crashed it a few times already. Can be charged from USB or from the controller. It's from Monoprice :)
CONS: Maybe that it is infrared instead of radio controlled so you have to point the controller directly at it or it may lose control.
PROS: Good flight skills and controls. Overall good quality as an affordable price. Two spare part are provided in case of crash inducing damage.
CONS: Fragile and needs to learn to control it. Not recommended for kids nor for people without a minimum of patience.
Would be great if we could buy extra spare parts for replacement aside of the main purchase.
PROS: Lots of fun once you've practiced flying it. WELL made. Lots of metal vs. foam or plastic. VERY inexpensive, Fun toy.
CONS: Takes a lot of getting used to flying it (like anything RC is). Doing better after practice but still difficult when confined to indoor spaces (Ceilings primarily and I have high vaulted ceilings in my living room). Not sure if it will work outside because of UV remote control (not Radio Control). When going forward/reverse or strafe side to side the altitude will drop for the other motors drawing power which slows the main rotor (gets worse as battery wears down.
PROS: Crashed and it started to figure out how to drive the silly thing. Crashed so many times. Just kept going. Never broke a rotor. So fun but I have very poor hand eye coordination. Love the lights, makes it look more menacing. haha
CONS: One crash too many and the very next day it won't keep stable. Tried taking it apart to disect the problem. I think the gyro is wonky. ORDERING ANOTHER IMMEDIATELY BECUASE IT WAS SO MUCH FUN THOUGH. Plus I will be more gentle and do better with it.
PROS: Looks great, fast, & holds up pretty well regarding durability post crash(es)
CONS: Signal not maintained, inconsistent between controller and copter. Every time you think you have everything adjusted and set appropriately, rotors, stabilizers, etc., its does its own thing. far too complicated if want accurate flying, particularly indoors. If you just want it to go and do whatever and look cool, just let fly free, per say, outdoors... keeping in mind the range limitations.
PROS: Seemed like a good idea for $15
CONS: Was able to use it one time. Had it about 3 feet off the ground, landed it (not crashed). Tried to take off again and it went about one foot forward and died. Hasn't worked since.
