    270° 8-Watt (40W Equivalent) A 19 LED Bulb, 630 Lumens, Neutral/ Bright (4000K) - Non-Dimmable

Get a longer lasting, safe, and affordable alternative to incandescent or CFL light bulbs using this 8-watt A19 LED Bulb from Monoprice!

This LED bulb uses only 8 watts of power, but produces 630 lumens of light energy at 4400K, equivalent to a standard 40-watt incandescent bulb. It uses the E26 "medium" Edison screw base, which is the standard home screw-in bulb type we're all used to. This indoor bulb is 2.4" in diameter and 5.1" tall and has an 85 ~ 265 VAC operating range.

The bulb features a shatter resistant polycarbonate lens, which is designed to withstand ordinary drops and falls, and a 100% aluminum heat sink. It uses the superior Epistar diodes, is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use before failure, and carries a three year replacement warranty.

The bulb generates light in the 4400K range (Color Rendering Index greater than 80) with an impressive beam angle of 270°, which generates a bright, white light that is ideal for office and showroom use. This bulb is not designed to be dimmable. While it may be physically dimmed in some light fixtures, doing so can damage the bulb's internal circuitry and severely reduce its expected life span.

Monoprice warrants these bulbs for a full THREE (3) YEARS and will provide a new replacement for any bulbs that fail due to defects in materials or workmanship during the warranty period.

Pros: Does its job very well

    Cons: None

Nice bright light with a consistent intensity. Replaced a florescent 40w with it and it is a little brighter but not too much. Perfect for my home office and mimics daylight very well.

Too bright for outdoor garbage lights!

Pros: Cast base is rugged. Super bright. Uses onl 7 watts (at 110 volts), and LED lights last almost as long as a widow's bottle of Tabasco sauce!

Way way way brighter than any 40 watt inconsistent bulbs I have ever seen,

    Pros: Very bright
    Seems sturdy

Cons: Seemed like there was a slight delay turning on compared to traditional incandescent bulbs, but it was less than half a second by my estimate.
Sticks out slightly more from socket than incandescent bulbs, which may or may not be a problem

Bulb came intact. Much brighter than the 40-watt incandescent, but I prefer the office-style lighting of the 6000K type over the 4000K type. I only got it recently and I'll have to see how it holds up over time.

    Great Bulbs

Pros: Great LED bulbs at an excellent price

Cons: No Cons, I could use some chandelier bulbs but monoprice does not carry them.

I live in Canada and have been slowly changing my home over from CFL to LED in order to cut energy costs. These bulbs are half the price I would pay in stores like Home Depot or Lowes.
Shipping to Canada is fairly fast and reasonable.
I have never been disappointed with any Monoprice product

Cool, but not as bright as I expect

Pros: LED, energy saving, and a more whiter color than older style bulbs

Cons: dimmer than previous older style bulbs, can get hot.

I've been obsessing over this new technology, and finally tried it. Now while I'm not dissapointed, I can't say I'm all that impressed.
I have a small room with just one lamp (no ceiling light), and it doesn't quite cut it for light up my whole room. I think if I had two lamps one on each side of the room I would be pretty happy.
If I recall there are a couple bulbs monoprice has that are a bit brighter, but being my first LED light bulb I have nothing to compare it with.
In any case overall I still say this is pretty good lightbulb, just not as bright as you might expect.
