Worked well for 1 year and 3 months

Pros: Worked well, ate everything I put into it, no partial/incomplete shredding.

Cons: Might need to be gentle with it if you want it to last longer.
Overheats somewhat quickly and takes a while to cool down.
Periodic knocking sound, probably from a gear becoming more and more damaged.

Bought this to shred documents, junk mail, and receipts and worked well for all of that. Recently, had to shred a lot of documents and it jammed, then stopped working even though I could still hear the motor. Opened it up and saw that a large plastic gear was stripped on one side, maybe 45 degrees-worth. Not sure if that was the problem, but I'm assuming that was it.

Looking back, I probably should have taken it easier on the shredding, maybe only inserting one letter-size document at a time.

Like the other people stopped working within a few months left it alone and now realized could have RMA. Nevertheless this is junk!

Does the job as well as needed

Pros: Proper crosscut, Quieter than my last shredder, Compact size

Cons: CD shredding is sub-par, Short constant run time, Small gap at the top that drops shreddings when the bin is full, Very thin opening makes it hard to shred receipts

For the price, this is a pretty good shredder and as long as it lasts me a few years I'll be happy.
I was very pleased with the quieter motor in this compared to my previous shredder and the crosscut design leaves and documents well destroyed.
That being said, it can be quite hard to get thinner paper, like receipts into the thing opening for this shredder. I'm sure it's like that for safety reasons but it can be a little trouble some at times.
The cool down timer on this thing kicks in pretty quickly so don't plan on shredding tons of stuff back to back. That being said, it get's through a normal days documents without any issue.
While the CD shredding feature wasn't really something I needed, I thought it was an interesting idea when I bought this. Sadly, it just cuts the CD into 3 large pieces so it's not much better than just breaking the disc yourself. Not really a secure way to destroy a CD and the gaps between the blades are too far apart to be used on credit cards (though, those shred fine in the normal end and are securely destroyed there.)

    Pros: Destroys the paper.

Cons: Doesn't last long for shredding.

Shredded things here and there but, it ultimately stop working after days of struggling. No sounds what so ever.

Works as stated! Probably not good for high volume shredding. It is just what I needed.
