    Optic Lens Cleaning Blaster

Blow away the dust on your camera lens, delicate camera parts, or old slides with this Optic Lens Cleaning Blaster from Monoprice!

This air blaster features a one-way air inlet valve, so dust and dirt won't get sucked into the bulb, only to get blown back out onto your lens or camera internals. The rubber bulb measures 3 3/4" long by 2" diameter. The red air nozzle adds 2" to the total length. The plastic nozzle is 5/16" in diameter.

    Good Value for Price
While Monoprice is known for its cables, they also carry accessory items that are very useful and of great value. This is one of them. Just another reminder, that I need to check this site more often for items that are not cables!

    PROS: Good value, good product.

    Blows hard
Doesn't seem like something so simple would work, but it does. Cleaned out my camera lens as nicely as those expensive cans of air I used to buy, and now that I think about it buying a can of air wasn't the most environmental product in the world. This is simple and does the trick for small scale blowouts and couldn't be any cheaper. Only problem is that the kids like to play with it - I may have to buy another and give them this one.

    PROS: Mess-free blowing

CONS: Not as precisely directable as canned air

Don't know what criteria to use to rate a blaster. But it blasts air just fine. Haven't had it long enough to attest to its longevity, but seems to be a solid product.

PROS: Seems to blast air just fine. Not terribly large, so it fits in bag okay

CONS: No complaints. Smells rubbery would be the worst thing I could say about it?

    Handy dust blaster
This is an excellent tool for the price. Yes, it does have an odor but I don't carry it with me so who cares. It works.

    Blasts that dust good!
This blaster works very well for cleaning off lenses and filters, even the mirror in my DSLR. The bulb feels like it will last a long time, and I'm not afraid to pack it with other stuff because it feels so sturdy. It leaves behind only the most stubborn dust specks, but a microfiber picks those up nicely.

    PROS: Solidly built

    Good blasting power

    No dust is sucked in

CONS: Doesn't quite get the sturdiest dust specks

    It blows air!
For the price this can't be beat. Very well made. It did great cleaning dust off front of my lens and on my sensor that I was seeing through the view finder.

I use it when I can't use compressed air. It works well and I am very satisfied.

PROS: Does what it is supposed to do well

    CONS: Strong rubber smell

    Blows... air
Does exactly what you need it to blow dust. Did notice the plastic smell, but as long as you don't sit around blowing it into your nose all day, you don't really notice it. Functional, done deal.

    PROS: It works.

    CONS: None

I buy a lot from MP and I love how they are increasing their product line into photography but the truth should be told on this item. It uses some kind of harsh unprocessed rubber that has a strong smell and if you use it with your hands (there is no other way), than you'll have this awful rubber smell on your hands and if you eat with your hands, you'll have a rubber taste. I wish MP would charge a dollar more and use a better silicone based rubber that can be handled. This item goes into my long-term storage box of failed purchases.

PROS: Gives a short gentle blast of clean air

CONS: Rubber residue lingers on your hands
