PROS: Solid construction, Locks securely,Air decompressor.& Foam.
CONS: None that I can think of for the moment.
Much cheaper than the competition
PROS: Great case. Extremely solid. I liked that the foam being scored so you can customize it to your needs. I plan to use it for a wireless mic, receiver, body pack, etc. Has an area where you could label if you wanted to. No problem with the latches as others may have noted. I have complete confidence that my equipment will be kept safe. It's extremely durable.
CONS: A little bit on the heavy side. A little big for my specific needs but I can always fill up the space.
PROS: High quality construction. Quite utilitarian.
PROS: Fits my projector and cables well. Pluck foam was easy for a perfect fit. Case is very solid, makes you confident that it will protect your gear. Ordering another one for my other projector and the smaller one for my condenser mics.
The only things I can nitpick about are the non locking latches. The big brand equivalent has them, but you can always just buy a regular lock and use the provided lock holes, I am sure it saves a few bucks off the cost. The pressure release valve is not automatic. Again, probably a cost saving measure, just remember to open and close it at the appropriate times. On the case I received, I noticed the foam on the inside had shrunk ever so slightly. No big deal except the top convoluted foam will not stay put and keeps falling out. Nothing some high strength adhesive spray couldn't fix though. The last thing is the mention of warranty, which I couldn't find anywhere. The big brands offer lifetime warranties, which may be a deal breaker for some people. Then again the case is so strong and overbuilt I don't know if you would ever need it.
In closing, this new hard case from Monoprice is a keeper. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs extreme protection and likes to save money.
PROS: Very strong, air tight, water tight, crush and dust proof. Overbuilt engineering at half the cost.
CONS: No locking latches, air valve is a manual non membrane type. Foam is slightly shrunk. Warranty is not specified.
PROS: Great build quality
PROS: This case rivals a Pelican but beats by at least 30% less cost.
CONS: Foam is a little flimsy but works.
PROS: tough build, water proof, great price, going to buy second one
CONS: to heavy for the size
PROS: Sturdy, reasonably priced case. Lighter and far less expensive than the 'recognizable' brands.
CONS: Lid doesn't open as far as I'd like - if it opened up another 10 degrees or so it would be a big improvement. Foam is loose in the case, as others have mentioned a couple of pieces of double sided tape make a world of difference.
