    14-inch Hi-Hat Cymbal (Pair)

Get superior cymbal tone using these 14" Hi-Hat Cymbals from Monoprice!

This pair of 14" hi-hat cymbals is hand made from high-purity B20 bronze (80% copper, 20% tin). Because they are hand made, each cymbal is a unique instrument with a unique tone. However, they are designed to produce a modern, fast response with rapid decay.

Great Hi Hats for a great price
Great set of B20 Hi Hats for anyone really besides perhaps a bronze connoisseur. I would recommend these to anyone, especially anyone looking for a first set of cymbals. Don't waste your money on "intro" or "beginner" cymbals when these sound far better for less money. You will be surprised at the quality of the product and the tone as well. If not there is always a return policy. I threw my boxes away after the first time I played them.

PROS: Quality made using B20 bronze

Great closed and open sound (open is a bit trashy

    Bright

AWESOME value compared to ANY starter intermediate "big name" cymbal maker

Looks good, very physically presentable if gigging (if you care)

CONS: Not for me, but some may find the the "shimmer" tone a bit bright for a B20 set

Silly as it sounds I wouldn't mind if the Monoprice logo were a bit bigger.

    Hi Hat Review
Hats sound really good IMO . Make the decision yourself by watching the vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJVvk9Rsvlc

I feel these sound nice and bright and would work for any drummer.

PROS: full, bright sound. Nice sustain.

    CONS: Cant think of any.

    Better than expected
I bought these as an upgrade to some cheap hats that came with my kit. These are much nicer. They're heavy, bright and loud. Nice an crisp. I'm not usually one to write reviews, but I was really amazed at the quality of these hi-hats. Seriously, compared to the price of name-brand hats, you can't go wrong with these. I'd say they rival my friends' Zildjian new beats.

    Good Price, Good Poduct
I had bought the monoprice 20" Ride and 16" Crash a few months ago, and have been really pleased with them.
So, I was curious about the 14" Hi-hat set. I've been using a set of 13" Meinl HCS hats for the past 7 months, and for the price they're ok. But, for basically $20 more, I got these, and they're awesome!!

    PROS: Brighter
    Louder
    Cleaner
    Clearer

    Nice Upgrade
I purchased these when they were 50% off and they are a vast improvement over my previous Hi-hats. They have a good sound that I (as an amateur) would be willing to record my set with these on. They have a presentable sound that isn't too harsh for my ears. They are a really good value in my opinion. I haven't played drums for long, but I'm am really happy with buying these. I will definitely think about getting the Monoprice crash after buying these.

PROS: Cheap. Vast improvement over starter set cymbals. Look good.

CONS: Not the best sounding when open.
