100ft (30.4 Meter) 3-pin DMX Lighting & AES/EBU Cable
Distribute digital DMX or AES/EBU (aka AES3) data signals safely and reliably using this 3-pin DMX Lighting & AES/EBU Cable from Monoprice!
This cable is designed for accurate transmission of digital audio and DMX lighting control data. It features a twisted pair of 22AWG conductors wrapped in a double layer shielding composed of copper braid and aluminum foil. The two shield layers combine to provide 100% shield coverage for the conductors.
The input end of the cable is terminated in a 3-pin male XLR connector, while the output end terminates in 3-pin female XLR connector. The cable has a nominal impedance of 110-120 ohms.
PROS: Monoprice now making/carrying DMX lighting cabling at a fraction of the price of name brands? Awesome! Works great, sturdy and it's Monoprice quality! Can't go wrong with this!
PROS: I was amazed by the price of this cable and the quality of the cable. MonoPrice has great products for a great price and this is a testament to that. I have been using this cable for just over a month with no issues of cross talk or anything else. I recommend this to anyone.
CONS: Unrolling the 100' cable can be hard as monoprices cables are not wrapped over under. So make sure you unwind the cable before you start to install it.
PROS: Great, heavy duty cable at an unbelievable price.
CONS: Monoprice wasn't around when I started buying cables 25 years ago.
PROS: Heavy duty cable. Solid connections. Cable is well labeled on the cable itself so you won't get them mixed up with standard audio XLR. Unbelievable price
PROS: Durable, smooth, inexpensive, good connectors
PROS: Great product exactly what I expected form Monoprice great cables at a great price. and no hassle.
CONS: No Problems
They work fine, but they are not heavy duty and won't stand up to heavy touring, but if you are a small dj or small company and you are delicate with your gear, then this would be a good buy. I wouldn't sell them to a client, but I will totally use them. I will end up replacing most of the ends before too long because we use them very regularly, and they get connected and disconnected every night for different jobs. They would hold up better in a more permanent installation. In general, the cables are not super heavy duty compared to Gepco dmx, for example, with Neutrik end pieces. I recommend replacing the end pieces. Solder points look good.
Cables do not come wrapped over under, so make sure you lay the cable out carefully the first time you use it, or you will have a big tangled mess on your hands. Make sure you mention this to anyone you will have handling the cable for your when it first arrives.
PROS: Very affordable and works just fine. Ships fast.
CONS: The ends are cheap I have already broken half of them.
Wiring: not a twisted pair.
Inside the sheath is two pieces of plastic that maybe emulate a wire, but they are just plastic. I can't see what they'd be for maybe just filler for the sheath.
