Improve the sound of your vocal performance by using this Dual-Screen Pop Filter from Monoprice!
A "pop" filter is designed to reduce or eliminate the "popping" or sibilance sound caused by the pronunciation of some sounds, such as the letter "p" in English. Additionally it can protect the delicate microphone components from the corrosive effects of the salts contained in human saliva.
This 6" diameter pop filter includes an acoustically semi-transparent nylon material on both sides, for double the protection of ordinary pop filters. The "C" clamp at the base is easily attached to a microphone stand and the 13" flexible goose-neck allows it to be perfectly positioned for maximum effect.
- Mesh pop screens: 2 screens on same frame
- Clamp for stands: 1" (25mm)
- Outer Diameter of screen: 6" (150mm)
- Length of arm from base to filter: 13" (330mm)
PROS: Well Made
Works very well
CONS: I could not find anything wrong with it.
PROS: Fine performance, quality construction, amazingly low price.
CONS: Can't find any down side.
PROS: Great product that works. I find the flexibility, durability, and tightening capabilities well within acceptable norms. The price is also outstanding. Don't waste any more time, energy or money - just get it! And, I don't even work for Monoprice.
CONS: still looking for one.
PROS: inexpensive, does the job, looks great
CONS: nothing so far
I don't know how often you're supposed to empty the pop reservoir, so I do it once a week. Or daily, if I'm recording another rendition of Peter Piper.
This pop filter is well-made, holds its position very well, and attaches to pretty much any mic boom using an adjustable screw mechanism.
I'm really impressed with Monoprice's growing selection of audio gear, and I can't wait to see what they bring out next.
PROS: Light, flexible, easily attached, holds a lot of pops before you have to empty it
CONS: No shop-vac attachment for automatic pop reservoir emptying
PROS: - Well made with mostly metal construction
CONS: - I hate plastic knobs or plastic anything as that's usually the first thing to go and this otherwise great filter has a plastic knob to tighten the filter onto the mic stand.
PROS: Great product all around.
CONS: I should have ordered one sooner.
PROS: Holds on nice.
PROS: Works just fine. Plenty of adjustability. Holds the position where I put it. 2 pieces of cloth.
