    Fantastic Microphone!
The mic this is replacing is the MXL .009. A $300 mic. As far as the quality of audio, I put this right on par with the MXL. For background noise reduction, this mic beats the MXL. I was pleasantly surprised by how well this microphone performs. If you're looking for a microphone for livestreaming, podcasting, or even just talking with friends online - get this mic! It's affordable, and is outstanding. Highly recommended. Check out my video review to hear the mic in action, as well as comparison samples from the MXL .009 and Audio Technica AT2020.

PROS: Audio Quality is fantastic, and it really shines at removing pretty much all background noise

CONS: The included stand is meh, but if you're just using this for a podcast, or if you travel and have to bring this with you, its ok.

    Works For Me
This is a good microphone for the price. The audio quality isn't perfect, but it is very close. I'd say this is for someone who is between an amateur and a hardcore professional. I've seen a few complaints about volume. Remember, levels can be adjusted in the computer's settings.

    PROS: Good sound quality.
    Fairly rugged.

    CONS: (To be discovered).

    Works, sounds great
    Great quality, great price.

PROS: Plug and play, good sound, good quality, USB provides phantom power, comes with a little stand to go right on your desk.

CONS: Doesn't come with shock mount

    Great Microphone -Recommend
So, I use mine for gaming as well. I had gone through a number of USB microphones over a period of a couple years. I am also have my AV CTS. I was thinking there had to be a USB mic that had similar quality to a studio XLR's. I shopped for around for about a year looking at other manufacturers. Way too expensive and always needed a analog USB converter. Then I saw this one day and thought it looks right and is a great price in comparison to others. Well this is it the right choice.

    PROS: Great pickup without distortion.

I've even had people ask what mic I use online.
Recommend ordering a boom type mic stand also.

    CONS: None

    Better Than Expected
I have received many compliments as to the audio quality of this microphone, it has more bass and much richer sound than previous microphones I have used.

PROS: This was found to a high quality microphone for a computer world.

    CONS: No shock mount

    Use it for gaming
I bought this to use with VOIP programs on my computer. I have used those logitech desk mics for years but their volume isn't great on some programs. I've tried other USB and headphone jack mics but none were any better than the logitech.

I got this one on the off chance that a professional level microphone would do a better job. Long story short, problem solved. It picks up my voice clearly and transmits it loudly.

The only problem I had is that it was so tall it was blocking my screen. I fixed this by installing the microphone upside down on it's stand.

It might be overkill but it was cheaper than another couple of microphones that just didn't do what I needed..

PROS: Ultra clear voice, good volume for VOIP programs

CONS: Large for what I'm doing but easily solvable

Great for doing your own voiceovers
Works great with Audacity if you want to do editing. The resulting sound from this mic. is so much better than from a headset or cheaper desktop mic. Over the years, I've tried many types and styles of PC microphones and this is the first one out of the box that I didn't have to tweak EQ at all.

PROS: Great for recording your own narration for PowerPoint or Brainshark.

CONS: None because my expectations were met!

    5/5
The Monoprice Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone is a great microphone for the price. I was apprehensive about purchasing this microphone because

    1) There were no reviews on it

    and

    2) The internet warns that USB condenser microphones have poor sound quality.

I was pleasantly surprised with this microphone. If you are looking for quality sound for pod-casting, live-streaming, or video creation, this microphone will do it. Don't believe the people who say you NEED a $300 XLR condenser microphone with a $200 XLR/USB interface. This thing is plenty good for $99.

My three minor gripes (Not even worth knocking a point off):

-The case is cheap (But does it's job, what can you expect for $99)

-Minor blemishes in the paint of the unit itself (Not very noticeable, plus you're not buying this thing to display)

-Stand could be a bit taller. It's about 6" from base to bottom of microphone unit (It is definitely sturdy though, and does what it is designed to do. More serious users may opt to purchase a boom arm and shock mount, as I intend to do).

Check out my YouTube review for a visual review, and for sound quality samples: http://youtu.be/8-uR_hnvpNg

    PROS: +Great sound quality

    +Price

    +Overall construction

+Comes with long (15 ft?) USB cable

+Comes with case (albeit a cheap one)

+Comes with a stand (albeit a short desktop one)

    CONS: -Minor blemishes in paint

-Doesn't come with a shock mount (the XLR version does)

Really good USB mic, perfect for desktop and portable use
It's a fantastic mic with a flattering mellow/sweet sound signature. It does complex ambiance, sustain, and harmonic-rich sounds like piano and guitar pretty decently, capturing ~80% of such detail, which can result in a bit of a narrow and monotone sound. In comparison, I'd consider $30 computer mics to capture ~25% of complex detail, the similarly priced USB blue yeti ~70%, and 1k+ mic setups ~85-95%. This is listening with a $6k headphone setup, and sometimes I had difficulty telling whether this or a $1k non-USB mic sounded better just because I like the sound signature. I have the feeling many people and most audio playback equipment would not be able to tell between this and a high end mic setup.

If what you need is an affordable and superb sound quality mic for desktop use such as VOIP, this is perfect. If you aren't going to use it as a desktop mic, the stand would be wasted, but imo, it absolutely is still a good buy even if you don't want the stand.

PROS: Superb build quality, good clarity, and unbeatable price.

    Plug and play!

So convenient and portable with everything inside the microphone

Very nice desktop stand, very weighted and extremely easy to adjust and lock microphone in any direction

15 foot long nice gold-plated USB cable.

CONS: If the desktop stand is not what you want to use then you waste a bit of money on it. Its quite high quality and sturdy and probably added some to the cost.

    Great microphone
I am very happy with my this mic, I originally was going to get a Blue Yeti but I was recommended this Microphone. As far as what people have been telling me when I speak into it when I'm online, they say I sound fine. A pop filter would be nice to have with this Mic, but it's not really needed. The problem with me could be that I haven't messed with the settings too much with the programs I use with my Mic. Over all this is a good microphone to use in podcasts/chatting.

    PROS: -Feels durable

    -Looks nice/professional

    -Great for podcasts

-Great for talking to friends when gaming online

    -Mic stand is actually helpful

CONS: -Depending on what program you use there are Times where my mouth needs to be really close to the Mic in order to be here, and there are times where I don't
