24-inch 1080p 144Hz LED Gaming Display with Matte Anti-Glare Finish

Enjoy smooth motion and superior image clarity when gaming with this 24-inch 1080p 144Hz LED Gaming Display from Monoprice!

In the world of PC gaming, a high frame rate is one of the critical keys to gaming Nirvana. However, an often overlooked factor is the screen refresh rate. In the same way that high frame rates smooth out the motion, a high refresh rate smooths the transition between frames, resulting in smoother in game motion, fewer artifacts (like tearing), and less eye fatigue.

This monitor supports a native 1920x1080p resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It features Dual-Link DVI-D, DisplayPort, HDMI®, and VGA, video inputs, with the full 144Hz refresh rate supported on both the DVI and DisplayPort inputs. It includes an advanced stand, which allows for tilt and swivel adjustment, as well as rotation for easy portrait/landscape orientation changes. The stand is detachable, allowing use of a wall or desk mount with a 100x100 VESA mounting pattern. It also features a set of built-in speakers and a 2 watts/channel amplifier to drive them.

This monitor was far better than advertised...a really excellent value. And we are not gamers....we are using this in a professional broadcast environment...keeps up with monitors costing 10 times more!

PROS: Bright with great colors, very cool swivel stand!

    CONS: None

So far so good. been using 1 for two months, added a second one a couple weeks ago and still going strong.

I ended up choosing this over similar offerings from other companies mainly due to pricing. It seems like every month or two there is a good deal on these compared to the other companies. Overall, i am very happy

PROS: The stand. Hand's down this is one of my favorite monitor stands. The fact that it is VESA compatible only sweetens the deal.

CONS: Speakers aren't the best, but if you are buying this for the speakers you have other problems.

    great monitor
Out of the box picture quality is quite good in my opinion. The vertical stand it comes with is to tall for my setup, so I rearranged my setup to accommodate!

PROS: Great price, looks amazing. Picture quality is perfect for me right out of the box with a slight increase in brightness. Can't ever go back to 60hz now..

CONS: Just a little too tall on the vertical mount, had to rearrange my monitor stand for other monitor to fit. Also it has two blue pixels that are stuck. I haven't tried to "unstick" them because they don't really bother me.

    Response Time
Nowhere on the site does it list the monitor's response time. This is from the packaging:

    Tr: 3.5ms, Tf: 1.5ms

PROS: Great price, well designed, tall stand that goes eye level but doesn't take up much desk real estate

CONS: One stuck pixel, can't seem to fix it.

    Amazing Monitor
I purchased this monitor as my new gaming monitor for my newly built gaming PC. I run a GTX 970 so I knew I definitely wanted a 1080p monitor, and seeing this 144Hz monitor at the price I got it for was too good to pass up. When I first received my monitor, I was extremely pleased with the quality and the nice features that it had. The circular base swivels to face whatever direction you want. The height can be easily adjusted as well as the vertical viewing angle. Unfortunately, the first monitor had stuck pixels that I was unable to fix. Monoprice support was able to provide tips and advice, but when those didn't work, they walked me through the replacement process, which was extremely easy, fast, and best of all, free. I didn't have to pay for shipping or any fees. I got my replacement in about a week, although it probably would have been faster if it wasn't for UPS taking so long to get the first one back to Monoprice. The new monitor was free of pixel defects, and I am satisfied with my purchase. I will definitely pick up another one of these in the future when I go multi-monitor.

    PROS: Beautiful color

    Nice and bright

Awesome swivel base to fit your directional needs and also helps with the cable inputs

Love the adjustable height and angles (both vertical and horizontal angles)

    Perfect price

    Monoprice 24in 144hz monitor
So, this monitor…. Let’s talk about this monitor. Now going from a normal 60hz monitor and finally switching to a 144hz panel is a very nice feeling. Everything on this monitor game wise feels smooth and crisp. The panel itself is of course a TN panel so the natural caveats of a TN panel come into play. Sure viewing angles aren’t the best but if all you do is sit in front of your monitor and play then it shouldn’t be an issue. But there are somethings about this monitor that I do honestly love. First the connections on the back of the monitor. It has 1 DP port, 1 HDMI, 1 DVI, 1 VGA, a line in and of course a DC power port. Its because of the connectivity of this monitor that I chose it over other 144hz monitors. The matte finish on the monitor is a nice change of pace from the glossy finish on my other monitors and makes it easy to play in direct light and makes it so I don’t see the reflection of my t-shirt in the monitor…. Yes that happens to me a lot. The actual base of the monitor is really nice too, it comes with a swivel/rotate, up and down adjustment and landscape/portrait orientation it’s very smooth and doesn’t require much force. The VESA compatibility is also a nice addition especially when it comes to mounting it to a triple monitor stand. The speakers on the monitor are….ok, not terrible but not amazing either. A few gripes I had are the buttons on the bottom right can be a little bit of a pain to work around, and the fact that it didn’t ship with a display port cable still hurts my heart to this day. But ultimately I love this monitor! It really is a great monitor for the price and if you use it like I do for console and pc gaming it’s a no brainer. All the stuff you get in this monitor for only 200$ is not just a bargain, it’s a steal! If you’re serious about gaming, then pick this monitor up ASAP!

This monitor was not provided from monoprice so HA!

    PROS: 144hz goodness

    lots of connectivity

    low response time

    good stand

    matte finish

    CONS: no DP cable

    meh speakers

buttons on bottom can be difficult to hit

not IPS.... unrealistic but i can dream cant I?!?!

    Great budget gaming monitor
This monitor went on sale right after I purchased it and the nice people at Monoprice gave me store credit for the difference. Thank you Monoprice.

PROS: The stand is outstanding providing lots of elevation. Screen was perfect, no dead pixels. Also I can use the menu feature to make sure I'm at 144hz playing games. Its got lots of ports. I really put it through a rough time these past 3 weeks and it really held up strong. Good colors out of the box.

CONS: This is a barebones kind of monitor so not a lot of extras like those of BenQ but it cost fractions of what BenQ cost.

    Fantastic Value
I purchased one of these when it was on sale for $200, then I purchased 2 more the following week when they went on sale for $160. For that price you simply cannot beat this monitor, since a "normal" 60hz monitor will run you about $150 anyway. Now, this is a TN panel and not the higher-end IPS, but I've never been disappointed with the color depth of a TN panel, so I really doubt most people need to concern themselves with picking IPS over TN. That being said, the real draw of this monitor, the 144hz refresh rate, works perfectly and makes games look amazing (provided your computer can actually produce the higher frames). The physical build quality is great and I was very surprised by how nice the stand is that comes with these monitors. It has a spring that allows you to easily raise and lower the monitor without any screws or clamps. Overall the look is great, with the bezel and minimal Monoprice logo. The sharpness, brightness, and color depth are all things you'd expect from a good monitor. The only issue I had with this product is that the first panel I purchased had a single stuck pixel that could not be fixed by any of the usual methods. However, the next 2 that I purchased had no defects at all. Since a single grey pixel is only noticeable when you get about 12 inches up to the screen, I didn't bother with an RMA. So overall I am very happy with this monitor. It was and still is a fantastic value.

PROS: Works as advertised, nice bezel, great stand, can't beat it for the price (on sale).

CONS: 1 of my 3 monitors had a stuck pixel.

A Gaming Monitor that Meets my Needs
This is the first Monoprice Gaming Monitor I’ve ever had the pleasure of using and I want to thank Monoprice for granting the opportunity to use it for review purposes which will not affect my experiences/review. I currently own another 24” 1920 x 1080 @ 144Hz gaming monitor from a well-known manufacturer, but have been dissatisfied with my experience. This is more at a personal preference level, I suffer from constant headaches partially caused from allergies and the rest by being in front of PC for long periods of time. Initially I acquired the ICC Profile and Monitor Calibration settings through TFT Central per model number to calibrate previous monitor, but it did not improve the visual quality and experience of said monitor. Yes the brightness was lowered, but the colors looked washed out and the blacks did not look true. My previous monitor has similar specifications to my current one. They both are 24” 1920 x 1080 @ 144Hz 1ms TN LED Backlit panels with Dual Link DVI-D, HDMI, Display Port, VGA, PC Audio Input and built in speakers. They both have physical menu buttons and adjustable height stand, that tilts, swivels and rotate. And even though I normally do not bother with built in speakers on a monitor, this one has a better than average audio clarity and quality than others. This is due to the fact that even though both displays have 2w built in speakers only the Monoprice one offers a channel amplifier. Again this is not a complete sound solution replacement when using monitor, but a nice option to have when taking a break from wearing headset all the time and when no other option is available. I am very satisfied with this gaming monitor and would recommend it. I intend on purchasing a second one.

Note: To activate 144Hz function windows must be set to 144hz RR, a DisplayPort (or Dual-link DVI) cable and a selected graphics card with the latest driver is required. Yes I also own gaming glasses, but I still noticed a difference from one monitor to the other.

PROS: Dual Link DVI-D video cable and 3.5mm TRS audio cable included

    No dead pixels on arrival.

Easy on the eyes without losing picture/color quality and without tearing or bleeding

Easy to use and understand quick function buttons

CONS: Confused by “need” of power brick with AC adapter cable

No 3D option even though in my opinion it’s overrated and unnecessary, some may prefer to have this option still

    Great monitor for the price
I purchased this monitor after looking all over newegg, and amazon for months deciding what to get. I'm very happy I purchased this one. The monitor was packaged very well, and shipped very quickly (read: the next day). First I connected it with the provided DVI cable, and my video card (GTX 760) detected it right away with 0 issues. A few days later the DP cable I ordered arrived, and again no problems at all. I did have to adjust the refresh rate in the GeForce settings, but that was expected as my old monitor had a much lower refresh rate. The color settings, and presets out of the box worked as expected, and I didn't have to adjust any settings. The stand screwed together in just a minute or so, and the whole set up took maybe 15 minutes. With my desk constraints I had to get a monitor with built in speakers, and they are OK. The speakers are the only downside to this monitor, but I don't see it as a huge impact as I usually play with a headset. From all the monitors I've looked at the built in speakers are the major issue, but I don't think it's fair to expect 5.1 sound from speakers built into a monitor because for me, it's more a convenience than selling point. The only reason I'm giving this a 9 instead of a 10 is because there are no volume controls on the monitor itself. Yes, these are on almost every keyboard, but it would be nice to have separate one's on the monitor. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase, and would purchase another one.

    PROS: Price

    CONS: Speakers
