CONS: not great cable management, small shelves
PROS: Versatile. Movable shelves allow for non-standard height of compunctions.
CONS: Could be a little heavier duty, shelf sags a bit with the PC, but it's also over the weight expected.
PROS: All of the above were great. Very happy with the product.
CONS: Was not wild about the fact that the product was etch branded with the Monoprice logo.
PROS: inexpensive shelf that looks good and is easy to install
CONS: expensive shipping (coast to coast)
The bigger problem is leveling the glass holders. Even small differences in the tension in the two small m5x10 screws tilt the shelves up or down. The force arm to the shelves is very long for such a small base.
I live in earthquake country. Had a modest one Wednesday morning. A metal case on a glass shelf slides all over the place. It is necessary to mount the electronic components to the glass with velcro strips for safety. Auto parts stores and hardware stores carry half inch ones with sticky sides fro attaching to the glass. Monoprice could have tossed a set or two in for a few pennies.
PROS: Easy to install wall mount for TV components.
CONS: Wiggles a bit if bumped even with the screws very tight.
PROS: The shelves are made of thick glass. I think the 6 lag bolts are a little over kill for hold thsi up I ended up only using 2. The shelves are a bit small I can barley fit my 360 on the shelve. The power supply goes on a shelf above it.
CONS: Small shelves and yes even tightening the screws all the way the shelves still move a little. Cable management is kind of lame.
As a minimum if someone is to get this unit, use it with a 32" tv or smaller - my 42" dwarfs this thing like no ones business. The shelves are just too small on this unit and there is no way you can put any type of standard electronics on this (maybe an old PlayStation2, but nothing bigger.).
I would recommend going with the other two shelf unit that has a high rating (Product ID: 5715 ). This has a little bit bigger shelf which could accommodate small dvd players and electronics.
PROS: three shelves, good construction, cheap price
CONS: glass shelves are way too small for even putting a newer small sized dvd/bluray player on
PROS: It looks nice
CONS: Weak and tiny
