Great hardware for little money! Granted the fine-tuning is not as precise as the expensive ones, but I have had no problems with stability or getting loose with it in daily use (classroom) for 8 months. Will buy another for the next classroom I do!

    Great product!
I used this mount for the new Epson 8500. I buy cable and connectors through monoproce for my DIY projects at home and have always been pleased, so I was buying cable for the new projector project and almost didn't think of seaching here for a mount. I thought I was going to need to spend at least $100 on a universal mount through a projector store, or even worse, buy the Epson mount which was over $200. I figured for $20 I could afford to take a gamble on this one. Outstanding mount, worked perfectly in my situation! I did my homework, and knew in advance that the maximum spacing for this mount is not big enough for the Epson 8500. Low and behold in the same search result on monoprice, there was an adapter plate available, so I bought the two items, and had to make some small modifications and drill a couple new holes in the adapter plate, but all in all, a great result. I didn't use the extension, so I can't comment on that.

    It's an OK mount
I'm not impressed with this mount. Their TV mounts are great, they are solid and can be installed in 5 minutes by a good tech. This one just feels weak, is WAY too complicated, and is hard to work with.
It works just fine, really. But it's not an installer's best friend. Assembly takes about 15 minutes. It's not well suited to small projectors (And I wouldn't trust it to a big one). It's very difficult to get a fat HDMI cable, power cord, and RGB cable through to the projector and hide the cables internally. There's no tile bridge available, which means you need more hardware to install on a suspended ceiling.

In the end, it holds up the projector, which is it's only job. I just don't like it because it's the opposite of streamlining the installer's job.

    PROS: Cheap

CONS: Too many screws and parts. Assembly takes about 15 minutes (As opposed to seconds with other mounts)
No tile bridge option available on the site
    Poor cable path to projector

This product is awesome. It takes a while to set up though. Take time with it though. Make sure you have the projectors centre of gravity in line with the mount.

    Cheaper than building one
My original mount cost me at least $30 bucks to build. I had to run some composite wires to my video projector ( instead of svideo ) so I needed a bigger mount to accomodate the wires. I priced out building a new one at HomeDepot and the flanges alone were 20 bucks! I found this for about 12 bucks!!! Just got yesterday. Theres quite a few parts/bolts but that was easy enough to put together. The mounting worked great great on my Hitachi CP-X250. To bolts to ceiling were great.

Only drawback was it was tricky to get alignment ( left to right ). The mount allows up down and tilt. But if you need to turn the projector a bit to the left or right, it gets a little tricky as the mount doesn't provide that what i did was to loosen the mounts attaching to projector and retightening after I got it dialed in.

Not a bad mount for 12 bucks! Heck this is a great mount for 12 bucks! Forget about building your own!!!

    PROS: - price!!!
    - looks good
    - extension adjustment
    - yaw, up/down adjustment
    - cable conceilment

CONS: - No left/right swivel adjustment. But you can work around this ( read my review)

Great price, great product, all hardware needed for installation was included in the package. I wish I had found out about Monoprice sooner. My bottom line has a brighter future due to your products quality and price.

I was able to mount my AX100U pretty securely after a bit of fiddling. the AX100U requires 4x M4 or M5 screws (don't remember which) of ~10mm length in addition to the contents of this box.
