    Does the trick!
For me this power outlet does the trick. I'm using mine in an outlet that is located in my crawl space. It powers a couple of amplifiers for my OTA TV and a sump pump. The LED light gives my just enough light to see the plugs when I remove the access panel. I recommended only using the outlet in a permanent location. Since it screws into the outlet it is not very portable. The LED light might also be too bright in a bedroom location. All in all I'm very happy with this outlet.

PROS: Compact design, LED light and price

    CONS: None for me

    Compact and Convenient
I have had one of these units in my bedroom for a few years and it appears to work well. We've had a number of lightning strikes, and my components weren't affected. The green indicator light doesn't bother me. Maybe I'm just too tired and fall asleep quickly. I imagine you could put a piece of masking tape over the indicator to dim it. One unit that was in the living room had the green indicator light go out, which I assume meant that the surge protection was no longer functioning, but this was after about 5 years of service, so I can't complain.

Exactly what it is suppose to be
Pretty simple thing, works as expected. I haven't had reason to test the surge suppression (and hope I never do).

PROS: Pleasant green bar light on top

CONS: None (unless you don't like the green light)

    Another excellent Monoprice purchase
If you need to save space behind a wall-mounted television, as I did, this surge protector lets you keep your electronics safe without a bulky power strip in the way. It seems to be well made, and the green "grounded" light has a nice glow to it. I think it's an excellent product.

PROS: This surge protector does everything it's supposed to. The grounded light is clear without being distracting, and it mounts smoothly in place.

    CONS: None

    Works Great
I have no idea of its protection capabilities (and hope I never find out) but this looks and works great. The green light is about six feet from my bed but it doesn't bother me at all... just a nice night light.

I have an alarm clock and small lamp plugged in and I use the rest of the outlets for charging my phone and tablets, when needed. Because of the size of the plugs of the latter items, you really can't use all six outlets at once but I don't run into that problem simply because I don't need all of them at once. If you do, keep that in mind.

The bolt for the outlet provides a solid fit so that I can pull out plugs easily.

    PROS: Solid fit
    Looks good

CONS: Outlets are close together so it is hard to use all 6

    Another quality product from Monoprice
This is the second order of these units. Send one each to college with the kids. Great protection for all your electronics.

PROS: Very high quality and looks great on the wall. Just about as cheap as a plain multi-plug.

    CONS: None.

    SLICK PRODUCT!
This thing is just cool! Very securely screws into existing outlet and you've got 6 protected outlets. The fit and finish is outstanding and I was very surprised to see this level of quality at this price. Plugs go in nice and tight and this thing also has a large green light at the top which doubles as a nightlite... Very likely I'll be buying a few more of these in the future.

PROS: Compact way to add more surge protected outlets.

    CONS: None.

    Love it!
These should be on every socket in the house. With all of today's devices and gadgets 2 sockets just isn't enough. Power strip takes up floor space and gives the house a cluttered look.

PROS: Easy to install. Light is not overly bright or distracting. Center screw to secure the plug in place.

CONS: The sockets could be further apart.
