Outdoor Speaker Volume Controller RMS 75W - White

You're out in your yard enjoying your pool or BBQ. You've set up your outdoor sound system so that you can listen to music while you relax. What a hassle it is to go all the way back inside your house just to adjust the volume. Wouldn't it be easier to have a volume controller out in your patio?

Here's your solution: an outdoor speaker volume controller. This specially designed unit comes in a weatherproof, sealed enclosure specifically designed for ootdoor installations. A simple rotary design allows you to set your audio to the perfect listening level.

The water resistant enclosure also makes it perfect for marine (boating) applications.

This rotary control can be set to one of twelve positions, including the minimum (off) and maximum volume settings.

When setting up the speaker volume controls, it is important to match the impedance of your speaker system with the load rating of your amplifier. This is done by setting the jumpers on the volume control to compensate for the number of speakers you have in a parallel configuration and the impedance level of the speakers.

If using a single pair of speakers rated at the same load level as your amplifier, you don't need to make any changes - just leave the jumper in the default x1 position. However, if your speakers are of a different impedance level and/or you have more than one set of speakers in parallel, please refer to the following chart as a guide for setting the jumpers on the speaker volume control.

Note that for any speakers wired in series, the overal impedance level is the sum of each speaker. So two 4 ohm speakers wired in series is the same impedance as a single 8 ohm speaker.

    Watch out for spiders
Two major cons. First, the connectors for the speaker wire are very small and hard for me to work with and I do not have large hands. Second and really the reason that I had to give it a 1 is that there is no way to seal the bottom hole where the speaker wires come in. I didn't think anything about that until I had a spider get in and I guess it was touching two parts that it should not have been touching at the same time because when I turned my AV receiver on it fried something in the receiver. So that stupid little spider cost me over $500. Very disappointing for something that is made to be used outside. I have since removed both of my manual volume knobs and now just use the controls on my iphone to control the new receiver that I had to buy to replace this.

    PROS: Works OK

CONS: Small parts that make it difficult to work with.

Bottom open allowing creatures to get in
