    Great in-wall speakers
These speakers sound wonderful (I like) and they aren't very noticeable (wife likes).
Compared to other 'inexpensive speakers' the arms that hold the speaker in place work much better and I didn't have to solder the speaker wire to the speaker.
The provided piece of cardboard doubles as a cut out pattern and a board to cover the speaker while you paint the trim, if you're so inclined.
It isn't too difficult to paint the grill, if you're careful and patient.
I couldn't be happier with the results.

    PROS: Great construction
    Great sound
Provides template for cut out and a paint guard to paint trim without painting speaker

    CONS: None

    Easy install and sounds great
Installed speakers last night. Installation was a cinch (had already run the cable, so was simply a matter of cutting the hole, attach the wires and turn 12 screws). Tested with a few tracks, sound great.

    PROS: * Easy installation
    * Sound great

CONS: No gripes about these speakers - just a observation. Monoprice doesn't have a center-channel speaker that matches (in terms of style, rating and impedance) these speakers. Their 8ohm CC speaker has the narrow flange and is only rated 80W. I'm looking for at least 100W (although 150W would be nice), with the large (1 inch) flange - most 5.1 sources have the majority of the sound on the center channel (dialogue, etc).

    Excellent
Easy to install and sound fantastic. I used these for center and L/R for a 5.1 surround system. I couln't be happier with the results.

    PROS: Inexpensive but not cheap
    Easy to Install
    Sound is fantastic

CONS: Painting the speaker grills to match interior wall was a challenge.

    Well worth the money
I read the reviews and decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. These speakers sound amazing, especially for the price. I looked at a lot of name brand speakers that cost 3 to 4 times the price and they didn't sound as good as these do. I bought 4 for 5.1 surround in our movie room.

PROS: Easy installation. Sound awesome. Easy to paint.

CONS: Wall clips are a little flimsy

    Wow!
Wowjust installed four of these with a Monoprice center channel for my home theater system. Amazing sound, esp. for the price! In my old home, I installed 6-1/2" Klipsch in-wall speakers that ran $250+ per speaker. This time around, I went with Monoprice and am blown away with the quality of the sound. I'm doing a whole house system and will be putting 8 pairs of these across the house. Of course, you'll need a sub for the lows, but that's to be expected with a 6-1/2 speaker.

PROS: Amazing sound. Quality feel & components. Nice look.

    CONS: Need a subwoofer.

    5/5
Once installed, I was really impressed with the quality of these speakers. THEY SOUND AMAZING! I installed 2 - 6 1/2" 3-way for the front channels, 2 - 5 1/4" 3-way for the surround channels and a 5 1/4" center channel speaker for my home theatre 5.1 system (plus a monoprice sub). Once I ran the auto-tune for the speakers on the amp, the sound that came out was just amazing, even for FM radio. I literally just sat there for a few min totally absorbed in the sound.

I will admit that when I got them and hooked them up to an old amp I questioned my purchase. Not installed in a wall they don't sound that good, actually sounded quite bad. I was really concerned for a while that I had made a bad choice but considering the alternatives were at least 3X the price and only 2-way speakers I trusted the other reviews and cut the holes in my wall/entertainment unit. Thankfully they were as amazing as everyone else has said.

This particular pair of speakers were mounted in a 3/4" plywood entertainment unit (not a wall). I couldn't get two mounting tabs on each to lock in, sheared of one screw on each but they are still more than secure. Having access to the rear of the speaker once installed I could see that some of the mounting tabs didn't stay in the track and got jammed. Good design but could be just a little stronger.

PROS: Excellent speakers at an excellent price!

CONS: Mounting tabs could be better/stronger. Damaged a few on the 5 speakers I installed.
Would be nice to have a little more guidance on how to paint them.

    Used for surround sound
I used these for my left and right surrounds. Used 8" ones for my fronts. All sound excellent though from some positions they dominate over my center which is a definitive mythos 7. Maybe more system tuning needed. Overall can't beat value for the price.

PROS: Easy to install, look good, quality seems good. Sound is great.

    CONS: None really

The 3 way models: 6816 8" ver. for the front and the 7607 6.5" ver. for the rears
I bought the 3 way models: 6816 8" ver. for the front and the 7607 6.5" ver. for the rears. The total was $180 for 4 new high quality speakers. I was hesitant at first but some insulation packed in the wall cavity to increase the bass and a powered subwoofer. I have no complaints. I can hear the highs and lows frequencies. The surround effects are more pronounced with new speaker locations. The old locations were too high off the ground and spaced too wide apart.
If any of your listeners are thinking about in-walls, MonoPrice is a great place to go. The finance committee did not like my bigger bookshelf speakers and liked the look of in-wall speakers [i.e. invisible speakers]. I bought the speakers because the cables from them are great quality for a great price and the speakers are the same way. I would recommend MonoPrice to anyone.

PROS: Very high quality speakers for a great price

    CONS: None

    WOW! Great speakers!
Using three pairs of these for a home theater room doing 7.1. Love them! Great high and mid ranges and pretty good low range. I don't really need a sub. I would definetly buy again.

PROS: Great sound, easy install, unbeatable price.

    CONS: None so far.

PROS: i installed 4 to replaced yamaha speakers with these in-wall. Now my theater room sound is unbelievable! surround sound while watching blue-ray dvd's sometimes have me looking around the room because i hear sounds i never heard in the room. BY-BY YAMAHA. I DO INSTALLS FOR PEOPLE AND PRICE AND SOUND OF THESE SPEAKERS ARE 1000% BETTER than some very high end speakers that i have installed

Can these speakers be used in the ceiling?
    Craig H on Nov 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Technically they can. You will probably need to fabricate extra braces so your ceiling does not sag over time.
