Too much price for too little range

Pros: Bells and whistles galore, aptx, optical out, nfc, bluetooth 4

Cons: Expensive, Add shipping, and return costs - What good are the pros without a decent range?
    No optical cable?

Already one of the higher priced devices in it's category, about $3 more than comparable. Also, please note that this device does not include an optical cable which is not the end of the world, but if you read the return policy, bundled shipments do not qualify for shipping costs refunds. Also not the end of the world if you plan to keep the device. However, you add up all these costs and you are stuck if the range is pretty bad, and in my case it is hit or miss.
I have tried this device with three sources so far, one with aptx (samsung galaxy s4) and two without: Cheap Samsung phone and tablet. The aptx device is surprisingly impressive, and I am confident the aptx makes the difference, although it could just be better sound components altogether. My tablet also sounds great - without aptx- I have an equalizer app that makes this humm, however I do experience cut outs quite frequently. Hard to blame the BT Device as it could be the tablet or equally shared miscommunication between the two. My cheap phone without aptx sounds OK, not great and obviously its the B grade components in the phone, nothing wrong with the BT.
but for all three, I can't get anywhere farther than 20 feet away, so I am disappointed with the range this is providing. Is this a deal breaker? Kinda. I don't want to absorb any more shipping, so I will probably open the device myself, find the antenna see if there is a better way of throwing some range on this gizmo.
Overall, in hindsight I wish I would have waited for the next version of BT which will probably have greater range, especially for $50+. this should be sold for less than $30.

    Love Music, without Wires!

Pros: Easy setup, small device, good range, includes audio cables, price.

Cons: Has an overly bright blue light on the front, can be distracting depending on where you set it up.

I think this Bluetooth Receiver is great! I wanted to play music from my phone or tablet without having to plug in a wire, and now can do exactly that.

Personally, I've had no issues with the range. My receiver is sitting on a shelf with clear line of site to the whole room, and covers a large living room and most of the adjacent rooms. Mine works 20' plus, around a corner.

The audio quality seems good to me, can't say I'm an audiophile though. I did specifically seek a device with support for the aptx codec, which is supposedly a big improvement to audio quality over standard Bluetooth.

Only minor point is the front has a bright blue light that slowly blinks when nothing is connected to it, which gets a little annoying in a dark room.

Anyway, I love this thing, I think it's great!

    Good purchase!

    Pros: Good range.
    Good audio.
    As advertised.

    Cons: None.

I just received my bluetooth receiver and immediately connected it to my HTC input and Samson amp with a couple of JBL outdoor speakers for output. I walked through my 1300 sq. ft. home and had no connectivity issues until I was separated by 3 walls which would be abnormal. I even walked into one bathroom and closed the door with no problems.
My only disappointment was shipping, which took 7 business days. That's USPS for ya!

Pros: Size, ease of setup, quality when connected.

Cons: Unit cuts out intermittently when it shouldn't.

Very sensitive to the placement of my iPhone 5. I find that it cuts out at times unless I locate it relatively close to the unit one room away in my case (6-10ft). Also, if I pick the phone up to use if for something else sometimes the signal cuts out. I bought this unit because others complained about the cheaper unit. Sound is good and there were no problems other than that, but it is a big one.

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about your experience with PID 10248. For troubleshooting purposes have you tried testing with any other devices or testing in a different room? Would you happen to have any other wireless devices nearby that may be causing interference?

Should it continue to cut out intermittently, I can assist you with setting up an RMA for a replacement to see if that will work better for you. We do offer a 30 day return policy as well as a one year warranty on this item. Please let me know how you would like to proceed so that I may further assist you.

Poor reception, otherwise it would be a good device

Pros: Compact, easy to setup, no need to push a button on the receiver to reconnect your device even if you don't play music for a long time or leave the house.

Cons: Really poor reception. Compared to other bluetooth receivers I have tried, this one has had the worst reception. My music stutters from as far as only 5 feet away sometimes. It is a little better with my iPod vs. my Nexus 5, but even that is still choppy. Pretty much makes all the pros of this device moot.

I got this to replace the MPOW streambox which wouldn't maintain a connection if I stopped listening to music. This device doesn't have that problem, but it has terrible Bluetooth reception and my music is choppy. Ultimately I think I'm going to try and return this as well. Really disappointed for $45 dollars.
