Does what its supposed to do
It crimps, strips and cuts just like it says it will. Ive used it to make network patch cables and it works like a charm. It doesnt require much effort to make a solid strong crimp/connection. Its very sturdy so I shouldnt have any problem making cables for years to come.

Can't go wrong with this unit...money well spent! Thanks Monoprice for great products at excellent prices!

PROS: Solid and well built. Cuts and strips cabels easily.

    CONS: None

Multiple punches and solidly built steel construction make this a must have tool for any do it your selfers. A must have for any do-it-your-selfer or professional installer. Comparable to other name brand tools without the brand name price tag.

PROS: Solidly built tool. Ratcheting function helps with difficult crimps. Work as advertised. The included screw drivers blue cap rotates and is useful when pushing cables across keystone jacks without risking damage by using a sharp tool.

CONS: No way to lock the unit in the closed position for storage or transportation. No way to store the included screwdriver.

    Professional quality!
What a difference in build quality this is compared to Product ID 1385. The shear weight alone on this unit is unbelievable! The strip blade for CAT5 wire is spring loaded, meaning that if you have a thicker than usual CAT5/6 wire, than the blade will automatically adjust itself.

    Pretty good
Overall this is a good set of crimpers.

PROS: Heavy duty feeling to them. Don't need a lot of pressure to crimp the end unlike other crimpers I've used. Every size I need, this crimper can do.

CONS: The screwdriver tool won't attach to the main unit. This means I'll lose it within a week. Why even include it?

This tool is a much more durable feeling tool than others I've used. Although I have not installed connectors on many ends as of the date I write this, I have used other tools similar and expected professional-level quality from this. I recommend this.

PROS: Worked out of the box with no adjustments

    CONS: None

    Great quality.
great build and quality with a huge number of options easily a $100+ product in any local retailer.

PROS: solid constuction, replaceable razor blades on the cutters, ratchet. obviously great quality when held, all for a good price.

CONS: grips are not completely rubber, blue is hard plastic and black portion is rubber, not much of a con though.

What can I say, awesome tool that does exactly what it is supposed to do.
So far I've used it to make CAT6 ethernet plugs as well as a few phone jacks for my home.

Professional Modular Crimps, Strips, and Cuts Tool with Ratchet [HT-2008AR]
For the price this is the best tool on the market for it's intended purpose.

    Pretty darn good
For the most part, they just work. Haven't had a mis-crimp yet.

    PROS: All-in-one cut/strip/crimp

CONS: Opposite the cut blade is a pair for stripping that cut too far into cat5 cable causing a loss of about a 1/2" of cable each time you cut. There is a separate strip blade for round cable that works well, but no positive stop (have to eyeball it). Would be nice to have a bit of adjustment in the stripping blades.
