6inch 28AWG High Speed HDMI® Male to Female Port Saver w/ Lock - Black

This High Speed HDMI® port saver includes a locking screw above the male end to lock the connector securely into place to ensure that it doesn't wriggle out of HDMI port.

The male connector end, with the locking screw, measures 13/16" tall (including the locking screw assembly) by 7/8" wide by 1 3/4 long (including the locking screw handle). The locking screw can be used or not and extends out to 3/16".

The female connector end measures 7/16" tall by 3/4" wide by 1 3/4" long (including the cable boot).

The total cable, including connectors, is 6 1/2" long. The cable itself is 28 AWG and satisfies HDMI High Speed requirements.

    Doesn't fit all devices
Ordered several of these for use on various AV components.

Only was able to screw it into one AV component but not without issues. The other devices had hdmi attachment holes either too large or wrong thread type (metric?).
For instance our Denon AVR2310 would not allow the portsaver to tighten up as the Denon attachment hole was slightly larger. In the end I used a length of nylon fishline to take up some of the slack in the thread socket.

Also, as the portsaver male plug was too long therefore the adjustment screw was too short, I had to shave off some of its plastic so the screw device would seat all the way into the AVR screw hole socket.

    PROS: Good price fast ship!

CONS: Cable not very flexible, non-standard screw, tightening screw too short

I have a very tight space behind the TV and very heavy HDMI cables. The flexible port saver is invaluable when I combine with the swivel.. I also use on the other end going into a receiver. Wouldn't be able to do it without them.

    PROS: mnay

CONS: none although my devices did have a hole for the cable to screw into but it still fit

    Problem Solved with this cable
Great unit to provide screwed-in security for a long-run of HDMI to a remote projector. Since 50ft HDMI cables with screw-in security aren't available (afaik) this pigtail solved my problem and allowed for generous wrapping of tape to secure the female connection.

Would LOVE a version of this with a "cage" on the female end for "trapping" the next cable's male end in an "embrace" that would prevent disconnect.

PROS: Solid, as described, high quality construction. Great picture and fit.

    There is no standard
These 6" long adapters looked like they would help secure and protect the HDMI ports on our 8x8 HDMI router by Shinybow [I knowsounds like a character from "My Little Pony"]. The spacing between the HDMI center and the screw center on the adapters is 10mm. Unfortunately, the Shinybow uses a 7.5mm spacing, so they did not work for us. But they may work for youjust measure first.

PROS: Potentially useful in preventing damage to HDMI jacks by heavy cables or frequent plugging & unplugging.

CONS: There does not appear to be a uniform standard spacing from the HDMI port to the locking screw on equipment, so check first. Also, the 3" cable is a bit stiff.

The male end that plugs to receiver is fine but the female end was so tight I can't use it for my application. I planned to use this for when I want to by pass my receiver but it's so tight than when I tried to unplug it it came in hooked from receiver even with screw holding so I'll just keep it and find another use for it later

    PROS: Small and flexible affordable

CONS: Fit so tight can't hardly unplug

Shinybow uses 7.975mm so this cable will not work with there products as of January 2015
